The 5.3 got all messed up with the dynamic fuel management. I still have a 2000 Silverado 5.3 LT trim and the seat are STILL comfortable. I don't care that I get maybe 15 mpg on average. It's paid off and my insurance is about $60 a month for full coverage.
Completely agree. I've owned 5 Chevy trucks, and it weighed heavy on me to switch to Ford. Bought a 2019 XLT equipped much like yours, except had Katskin leather seats added. Ford seems much more solid and comfortable, with better visibility.
Doesn't really matter what you buy today, they're all garbage. Way to many bells and whistles on any these makes these days. I mean, who really needs an automatic tail gate? More tech equals more problems and more money. As much money as anyone spends for any kind of vehicle this day and time, more time and mileage we should get for the warranties. Todays return doesn't equal out.
BEAUTIFUL Truck!! Long time GM/Chevy guy here (since 2005, had a 4.8 LS Silverado, then a 2010 Sierra) also who switched to Ford and bought a 2021 model. Never looking back, Ford did a great job with this generation. Nice interior also chevy is pretty behind.
Glad I found your video of my truck but with a 4 wheel drive. I love this truck. I have literally owned dozens of trucks, cars, vans and sport cars. The technology built into the 2021 Ford XLT is astounding as well as the quality. I believe I will stay in this vehicle for some time. I recently purchased a 2600 lb travel trailer and on a 400 mile trip averaged 18 miles a gallon on regular although I usually burn premium grade.I am so grateful and glad to be driving this fine Ford product. See you on the road and thanks for the video.
I was born and raised chevrolet, my dad would turn over in his grave if he saw my driveway now, I have an expedition, a fusion, and a ranger and I love everthing about them. All I know is now when I need to go somewhere I simply insert key and go, ive had so many problems out of gm and im done. Nice video by the way.
Thank you! I know what you mean. My dad had some choice words when I brought this up his driveway lol. Then he drove it & said man this thing is Nice!!!
Congrats on the new truck. I work on a lot of full size trucks and I can say I like the f150s and rams. It would come down to price between the 2 for me. Chevys and GMCs are trash in comparison. The Nissan titan is okay but is behind in a lot of ways and the Toyota tundra is basic no matter the trim level but the most reliable out of them all.
congrats man, really nice truck. chevy stay behind since 2006 ford has just took it to another level, i have a 2012 fx4 v6 tt turbo and i love my ford truck.
@@JonTheOG I’d be less worried about that and more worried about the cam phasers. Also gotta watch out for carbon build up on any eco boost before 2017. Pre 2017 they were all direct injection only, 2017 introduced port injection along with direct injection.
He hit the nail on the head there. I had always had a chevy, loved my 06 silverado with the 5.3 vortec. However, the rusting rocker panels, frame, and under carriage was really a bummer. About 4' of my exhaust pipe rusted off and went bouncing down the highway behind me. I love that my 2019 F150 will not rust on the frame or the body. The gas mileage is fantastic as well!
@@terancestevens5922 A daily driven steel truck with and unpainted frame is going to rust out from under you. Just like every single ram and chevy on the road..
I also switched from Chevy to Ford in 2021. My friend has a 2018 F-150 and the ride was much better then my 2018 Silverado. Never regretted my switch to Ford.
I've been a Silverado man my whole life. I've driven everything from an '87 to my last 2010. I refused to even look at Fords until riding in several relative's and buddies F-150s and being surprisingly impressed. I just traded my 2010 Silverado 1500 Z71 LTZ for a 2020 F-150 XLT 4X4 Sport with the 5.0. I can't believe how much nicer of a truck Ford is putting out. The power of the 5.0 vs the 5.3, the ride, and the overall fit and finish on the interior is above and beyond anything Chevy has put out. Time will tell if Ford will be as reliable as my Silverado's have been over the years, but I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.
See what happens when you shun a competitors offering ... the F150 has been dominate for years yet G M fans mock and ridicule the F150 without even researching the truck !

Back in 2019 when I bought my truck I test drove every single full size 1500 model from Ford, chevy, and dodge. And honestly chevy was far behind on technology and appearance, and it didn't drive well at all. Dodge was OK when you got into the higher packages but Ford won in every category as in appearance, technology and the way it drives
Nice truck. My situation is similar to yours. I drove chevys and GMC’s most of last 15 years. I had multiples issues with them, especially my last Silverado which was a 2018. I finally traded for a 2020 F150 and have put 44000 great miles on it with no issues. Made three long trips in it and it made the trips so much more comfortable than I was use to.The drive, ride and power is much better than the Silverado with 5.3 in it.
The downfall of these newer trucks is that damn 10spd trans. I honestly regret selling my old 2011 f150 fx4. It was a 5.0 with the 6spd and that truck was rock solid. Only sold it because I didn’t tow or haul and it was a waste for just me and my dog.
Great video. Straight to the point. I stopped buying Chevrolet after I ran into the fuel management system in the 09 Avalanche. I'm staying away from them after having sat in a 2020 Silverado, those seats were pitiful, no cushioning whatsoever.
I was shopping for a full sized truck at the time GM took the government bailout. I was raised a Chevy guy but was mad at GM so I bought a Ford F-150. I’ve never looked back. My truck is a 2006 that I purchased in 2010. It’s now 2022 and I have 237,000+ miles on that notorious 5.4 engine and it’s still running great. These 5.0 engines are just so much better than the 5.3 and with a 6.2 you might as well buy a McLaren at that point, probably be cheaper. And I just can't get over that dumbass knob job shifter in the Ram. Feel like you driving a gumball machine
So I had a 2015 f-150. Handed it down to one of our crews. 242k miles when giving it to the guys to use. 3.5 ecoboost. It pulled dump trailers it’s whole life until I got the f-350. Excellent truck the f-150 is. Did a turbo seal, one cat converter, oil changes every 10k (blend). Just did a front hub this week (first suspension part ever). Lots of tires and brakes. I highly recommend the Ford vehicles

I have the exact same F150 XLT 4X4 FX4 with the 5.0L silver in a 2017 model. I have 62000 miles on it and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I love my F150 XLT 4X4 FX4 5.0L.
I am just about to roll over 300,000 on my 2013 XLT 5.0 Coyote F150 Super Crew that I bought new. It has been hands down one of the best vehicles I have ever owned! The only work I have done to the motor was I had the 6-speed transmission rebuilt at 230,000, I had the timing cover gasket done at about 250,000, I did the water pump at the same time just in case and at 285,000 I had to replace the passenger side cat. I drove the 3.5 Ecoboost and was not a fan of the way it sounded and after reading some reviews on the 3.5, I knew the naturally aspirated 5.0 would be a safer bet for engine longevity.
If there was only one thing that would make me switch to Ford, it would be if a Chevy girl were to block me on Instagram but other than that, I will NEVER switch to Ford no matter what
Nice video. I’ve owned nothing but Chevy my whole life and have gotten a lot of trouble free miles from 88,92,94 and 01 models. When it came time to finally replace my 01 after 16 years, the newer Chevy’s I looked at just had too many dumb problems. I ended up going With a low mileage 17 F150 XLT 302a 5.0 and love it. Hopefully I can get at least 10 years and 200k out of it. These brand new ones really are nice though! I’d like to see Chevy get their act together and I still dream about owing a 72 C10.
@@toddbob55 Nah, old GM and Ford's are both reliable and strong vehicles. 1st gen tahoes are tanks and the ford rangers run forever.I prefer chevy for styling, but I can still appreciate a good running ford.
Todd bob That’s just a fanboy troll statement. GM has made some great trucks in the past with really solid and reliable powertrains. Recently their quality has greatly dropped though with the addition of the fuel management systems.
Me too. I was Chevy for years. Recently tried Rams, which I did like. The E torque turned me off with its potential problems of the battery pack and electric motor replacing the alternator.. so I traded for a ‘24 Ford XLT with the 5 liter, trailering package, and off road package. The MPG’s is great for a truck this big. So far, I love it.
@@davidd1395 I really like mine. I see E torque, powerboost, and a turbo V6 as a failure point that will cost money to fix. I just have to stick with natural aspiration when it comes to a vehicle
Speaking about rust- I went to look at trucks the other day and I saw a 2020 Silverado and a 2020 ram. The Silverado was rusted more than normal for a truck of that age. Ultimately I went for the ram
Sweet rig buddy. In the last 12 years I've had a ram 1500, Silverado 1500, Silverado 2500 now a tundra. I love them all, why limit yourself to one brand. Might have to grab a Ford on my next lease.

I also was always a Chevy guy but didn’t like the way Chevy trucks have been going in recent years so I bought a Ram with the 5.7L Hemi back in 2017 brand new. Loved that truck but ended up trading it in after 2 years. We’ll just recently got into a pickup truck again and I decided to give the new F150 a shot because the new Rams and Chevys are ugly. Got the very first 2022 F150 XLT with the 2.7L Ecoboost and 302A package with the FX4 that my dealer got in stock last week. I love this truck so far. The 2.7L is more than enough power for what I need with really good fuel economy.
@@Carolina-gj1wh Honesty i don't notice a big difference. The 5.7 had slightly more torque but this 2.7 really feels like it pulls hard when the turbos spool up. At the end of the day all I feel like i'm sacrificing is the V8 rumble.
I own a 96 GMC 1500, a 2006 Dodge 3500 5.9 cummins and as of a couple days ago I now own a 2021 F150 in Iconic Silver just like yours. The 5.0 is what did it for me though, these engines are bullet proof, sound great, feel great, and the added torque means I can say goodbye to the cummins. I also just like the way the F150s look over the competition.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. The power difference between the GM 5.3 and the Ford 5.0 is almost comical. The comfort of the seats and overall feel of the interior was also a big selling point for me
Nice truck sir. I was a brand loyal GM guy. Not any more for me anyhow. So I went with 2019 Ram myself. First Ram product ever. Love the truck and it has been flawless. I was like you. I don’t like the belt driven oil pump either. However we shall see. Maybe just fine. Cylinder deactivation is an easy fix put in sport or tow mode or tune the truck and your good to go
How are you getting a 19 mpg average? Eco Mode? Don’t take it above 2000 rpm? I’m getting a 16.5 mpg average in my 2021 F150 STX 5.0. I have 15,000 miles on it and drive to work every day on the freeway 44 miles round trip.
I’m not sure why it’s different than yours. I have 7k on it now & I’ve noticed I get 19.5-20MPG on the interstate running 75-80MPH. On a 60MPH parkway it will get 21-23MPG.
Still have my 98 F150 XLT 4x4 super cab 6.5 box 4.6 V8 5 speed manual trans. Most reliable and most comfortable seat I have ever sat in. My 2016 Silverado seats are like sitting on a wood plank and I leave it sit because my 24 year old Ford is much more pleasent to drive.
Nice review. I've been a life long GM fan and still own two Chevrolet trucks, a 98 K1500 ext-cab Z71 that I bought new and a 98 reg cab 1 ton 4x4 that I bought used in 2007. Both of my trucks are pretty low mileage for the year. I doubt I get rid of either. My fiance owns a 2017 F150 with the 5.0 and it's a nice truck and has plenty of power. It's been a good truck other than the AC compressor clutch blowing out at 32,000 miles which caused her to need a new compressor and unfortunately the truck was no longer under warranty. I also own a 2014 Mustang GT with the 5.0 that I bought new which has been a pretty good car with tons of power. A very fun car. The one thing that I don't like that Ford did with the 5.0 is add cylinder deactivation and I'm wondering how reliable it will be since GM and Dodge have had problems with it. On some of the F150 forums, people are also complaining about having a shuddering problem with the 10 speed transmission that they are having a problem getting resolved. Hopefully yours does not develop that issue.
I've always been a chevy guy myself and still am, even tho I did buy a 2020 f150 lol I love my chevy, but I love my f150, the only thing I would recommend is to stay away from acorn trees, with the aluminum body panels they dent really easy other than that, no problems
Beautiful truck, I have a lowly 23 XL, but it gets the job done, my 2nd XL with the tiny 2.7 Ecoboost, first 94 k 6 years and not a single problem, quick strong and quite, that my only complaint you can’t hear it at all! Sometimes through at the bank drive thru or Tudors and I can hear the Turbos a lil bit. Great video and I hope it’s a great truck for you, I don’t wanna see nobody have bad luck out of their rig no matter the brand.
Waiting/Hoping for the truck incentives to come back. I have been saving for a 2021-2022 model. I was going to just buy a Used F150 but just can’t put down 38K+ for a used truck! Hoping the car industry comes back in mid 2022!
The outlook isn’t good for it to turn around this year but there’s always a possibility. I just capitalized on the large amount of equity I had in my trade because of this stupid market. So in all reality it’s kind of the same. I look back though & the 2017 MSRP was 47k but with incentives at the time I didn’t pay anywhere near that.
My experience exactly..... bought my first Ford product ever in 2018 when I custom ordered a new Ford F150 Lariat with 5.0 V8. It has been an outstanding truck..... I owned two Chevy's before with the 5.3 and Ford destroys GM in all the ways you pointed out and then some. I have not had my vehicle in for any major problems.... the Coyote V8 is tried and true.... although, my next F150 will probably be a 3.5 Twin Turbo Hybrid, which has been getting rave reviews and gets 24/24/24 mpg all the way around: City/Hwy/Combined.... and it seems to actually get better than those numbers in real world driving with an enormous amount of power and torque. Couple other reasons to buy the F150: 1) Dimensionally flat rear passenger floor - - from drivers side to passenger side. GM and Toyota have a 'hump' in the middle which makes the floor space much less storage-friendly.... big items such as a widescreen tv, big boxes, etc tip left and right over the Chevy hump like a see-saw..... stupid implementation. Ford and Ram have flat floors. 2) Much better tailgate step implementation. I don't think you had optioned that on yours, but I did, and it is an ergonomic masterpiece and makes entering the box from ground level a simple, natural, exercise. 3) GM has opted to design a Frankenstein's monster Cylinder Deactivation system in their engine.... which has a 'sliding camshaft' that allows the cam lobes to switch from 8 to 6 to 4 cylinder.... that cannot be reliable long term. The Ford F150 does not have cyclinder deactivation.... and they get just as good or better mileage without adding complexity to the mechanics of the engine. 4) Ford did not take a taxpayer bailout.... GM owes taxpayers millions. Companies should live and die by their business savvy and by building desirable products that people *want* to buy. GM is generally very unappealing to me... and I have access to a GM Employee Discount..... I have had to Lemon Law two GM vehicles in the past...and could have done 2 more, but the Lemon Law wasn't in existence for those two vehicles. I once bought a brand new 1985 Chevy Blazer and had it into the shop 38 times the first year of ownership. 5) GM does NOT have the trailering package joystick knob..... I optioned that too on my Ford....and it works SO nicely - makes backing up a trailer super easy. 6) Seat comfort, as you point out is phenomenal; That alone was worth the purchase.... I sat in almost every GM vehicle made one year and every seat, regardless of model, was as hard as a board.... horrible seats.... GM has NEVER made a comfortable seat - they are either hard as hell, or they sink in in the center and make you feel like you are sitting in a Home Depot 5 gallon plastic bucket. 7) Ride quality - I believe the Fq50 has a superior ride quality, although, the Ram I tested (and almost bought) when I was shopping for my new truck had an even smoother ride. But, Ram doesn't have a great reputation with their engines, transmissions, and rustout. Those are a few additional points that I could add...and yes, there are many more..... but you made a great choice - I am hoping to upgrade to the newer body/interior in a year or two at the most.... it is hard to justify making a new purchase right now because of the horrible market for buyers - no deals at all and some dealers are tacking on $3k to the MSRP. I only have 51k miles on my Lariat and so will drive it till chips become more plentiful and deals start to emerge. I negotiated $13K off my custom ordered 2018 F150 Lariat.... the MSRP was about $60,500. So, before taxes, I negotiated that down to about $47K. They would laugh you out of the dealership today if you demanded that discount.
Uh oh.... I should amend my earlier statement about the 5.0 and Ford not doing the 'cylinder deactivation' thing.... it appears the new 5.0 *now* has cylinder deactivation. That is a shame... I bet it doesn't do anything in reality for fuel economy..... the Government screws up everything..... so, that NOW being the case, I would definitely be switching to the 3.5 twin turbo.... I'd rather have a smaller displacement engine with turbos than cylinder deactivation.... how can that be good for an engine??
Get some rear wheel well liners. Best money spent out of everything i bought for my f150. It looks SO BAD when i see them without now. Why ford doesnt do this from the factory still confuses me, even their high end models
Well it’s now an “option” for them to make money on. Definitely getting some soon as I agree they look a lot better with the liners. I’ll be dropping a new video soon on my bed cover so stay tuned & thanks for watching!
Ha ha me two. Had 4 dmax (never had a problem there) then got the new 21 At4. I hated it drove terrible and seats were terrible. Got a 22 lariat power stroke and love it
Another big reason is the cylinder deactivation. Collapsed lifters bent pushrods can be catastrophic to your engine. Over your 3yr 36K.. your problem now. They seem to have quite a bit of problems with the newer gens now. I've got a 19 trail boss and I'm a Ford guy. I got a ridiculously good deal on it and ford at the time didn't have near the insensitives that Chevy was running so I plugged my nose and signed. Now there's no good deals to be had. I'll just keep driving and hope for the best.
F150s have gotten EXPENSIVE. Can get a more capable 3/4 ton for just a tad more. The loaded 302A pkg XLT F150s I’ve seen have been MSRP around $55K. That’s just nuts to me for a 1/2 ton truck with cloth seats. Hell of a nice truck though for sure.
Yeah, but the same could be said for all brands, truck prices are out of control right now and the market in its current state is really fucking the customer.
I had a shity 2018 durramax and this truck your showing I bought blows it out of water. Really sad but that's also cause of the dpf on newer diesels which strangles them. Bottom line is all cars and trucks get stuck and break down Stop being truck racist people as I've owned all disels make
One other thing to consider about the Coyote 5.0. That engine was designed to run in the Mustang. Running at high compression and at high RPM. Putting that engine in a truck where those stats would be over kill for a truck. That means in the Truck you not likely to ever push that engine harder than it can take. If you are like me and you keep your trucks until they wont run any more. Thats a big deal. My old F150, F250 with the 300 strait six are still earning their keep.
great video. I've been a Ford guy all my life, had 4 Rangers, and my current 2014 F150 5.0, which was a great truck, will be sold soon as I've ordered a 2022 F150 5.0. People love to pick on Ford but I have been very happy.
The only people that pick on Ford anymore are old ignorant's that live in the past or blind fanboys of other brands, But Ford is generally regarded as the best pickup you can buy.
Even the powder coated frame will rust all to hell , it will last way longer than the GM frame ....you can stop this if you start using fluid film or an equivalent within the first year or two of ownership......you can do it yourself but its a messy job....if youre near a big city you can find shops that apply it for a few hundred bucks then do annual reapplications for about $100.....you can do the reapplication every kther year but id just do it every year...
I’d stay away from 2018 and newer 5.0’s due to the oil consumption issues. You can look it up and it’s all over it. I have an 18 and it does it. Tried the dealer reprogram and PCV change. Didn’t do much to help me.
Chevy guys held onto their ford acronyms for too long. It was only a matter of time before they realized which is actually the better truck. Welcome to the family!
chevy vs ford is like a left vs right debate! donkey vs the elephant..ha. each has its strength and weakness but loyal peeps are only looking at one side. in my experience ive owned dodge, gm and ford. bought a new ram in 99 and then in 01 both had the same tranny seaching problem for the right gear and the steering had an oncentre drift both ways when driving down the street..almost like a dead spot, and you had to keep constantly try to drive the truck straight...both the used chevys and fords after i had that had high mileage and drove better than those new dodges imagine that..that did change in 04 when i bought one of new ram redesigned models..what a differnce. i would say the 01 silverado with the 4.8 and the o4 sierra with the 5.3 had the same problem..they both had bad piston slap and knocked at start up but went away when warm, both also had the ole fuel pump whine and alot of various electical issues and delamination of the clear coat but nice driving trucks.. I needed just a shop truck so i bought an 07 f150 i now have with the 5.4 3valve runs well but the manifold leak at start up is annoying until warm ..but i guess its a bitch to get to. I just use it as a shop truck so not much invested here..but with 250k it runs great and between the three it feels much more like a work horse, and the dodge second, chevy had a nice ride. Rust is always the killer of old trucks, all the drive trains are pretty stong..might look at a newer ford because of the aluminum for that reason.
Ford's always had decent seats in the F150...I used to own a 1998 F150 XLT, I know it's old but bear with me here. It had a cloth interior with captains chairs for seats from the factory, the drivers one had adjustable lumbar. I could take that truck on a 24 hour drive one way...and not feel fatigued from the seats or the ride quality of this old 2WD half ton. Only reason it's gone now is it was written off in a collision. Currently looking for a replacement F150 cause I miss how well that damn truck drove.
As someone who also owned a 1998 XLT 2wd and now owns a 2021 F150 XLT Sport 4x4... This is the best F150 Ford has ever built. It is better in literally every way possible, and yes, that includes the seats.
i have the 2018 5.0 coyote which i had to special order from Ford since all the dealers in the Rocky Mountain area only had the 3.5 ecoboost; the coyote is great engine- simple and plenty of room in the engine bay to work on;; recommend you install an oil separator on the intake so you dont dump exhaust gases and fluids into your intake manifold.
Would you have kept the GM if they could increase the power numbers on that 5.3? Seems like they should be able to bump up the horsepower and torque to 400 hp like the 5.0 Ford not sure why the power numbers for the 5.3 have not increased ? Nice truck 👍
I would not have kept the GM for a couple of reasons. I manage a fleet of trucks for a company & they are all Ford trucks. My guys beat the crap out of them & we don’t have that much trouble with them. I had made the decision to go with Ford a couple of years back when & if I decided to buy a new truck. Ford Hands down has a better chassis & a lot more power. My last Chevy had 42k miles on it when I traded & had already had front wheel bearing hubs replaced. Common problem with a 1/2 ton Chevy. The transmission was absolute trash & the truck already had considerable rust on it even though I take extreme care to make sure the underbody gets washed several times a year. I’m not bashing Chevy by any means. That 5.3 is a very durable engine. I’m just telling my truths.
The headlights are good. I often get flashed because oncoming cars think I have them on high beam. However, I think the projector style that was in my previous Chevy were better overall by just a little bit.
I work for Ford manufacturing and know some things about cars. Last year a friend asked me which engine he should go for in his new F150. I gave him all the reason why 5.0L is known to be a more reliable option. Little did I know that Ford had switched to plasma coating the cylinders instead of putting sleeves. Which in my view kills the main benefit of this particular engine as it makes it disposable - non rebuildable. Had I known this new feature I would probably advise to go with 2.7L. At the time of purchase did you know 5L block had plasma coated cylinders that can not be rebuilt should you or next owner decide to do so? If not, would you still go for 5L or something else?
I did not know that when I purchased it but thanks for the good info. I probably would’ve still gone with the 5L because turbos scare the crap out of me. I’m a naturally aspirated kind of guy. I know too many people that’s had issues with them in many different manufacturers. I hope to get many miles & never have engine cylinder issues. I take good care of every vehicle I’ve ever owned & stay on top of maintenance.
@@TheRecreationLodge I might go for 2.7L and do more frequent oil changes. However the idea of that leaky oil pan made of plastic with the ugliest yellow non reusable plug gives me shivers. Heard they switched to plastic oil pans on 5L too. What did yours come with plastic or steel oil pan? Thank you.
@@mikey27437 I haven’t even looked but I will keep you posted. I have a cousin that has the exact same truck as I do in Leadfoot & he went with the 2.7. I haven’t seen or driven yet but I do intend to. He has told me that he is very impressed with the 2.7 & it’s power range. He came out of a RAM Bighorn Hemi.
@@TheRecreationLodge Until I learned about 5L plasma coating thing I never considered anything with ecoboost. But once I looked closer at 2.7L - it’s an amazing piece of engineering. It’s exhaust manifolds are built in the heads and are water cooled. Thus turbos are mounted right on the heads cancelling extra piping and turbo lag. Its blocks are actually iron casted. It does deliver torque like a small diesel and has fastest 0-60 for those who cares. The only problem people were talking is that leaky oil pan. But there are reports Ford had fixed that by putting gasket. And you still need (according to Ford)a new plug every time you change oil. There is an aftermarket solution for that I hope. Thanks for answering. Your truck is awesome, enjoy!
Nice truck. I have a 19 KR with the 5.0L. Does your transmission whine? Specifically at low speeds and when running up from 1500 to 2000 rpm’s? Been hoping Ford has fixed that issue with the 5.0L and the 10r80 transmission. Sadly mine is a total whiner but I love the truck other than that.
I have had zero issues with mine so far but it’s early. I had a lot of trouble with the transmission in the previous Chevy though. It never shifted like it should’ve. It was always searching & clunky. When cold it shifted really hard sometimes & sometimes would even miss shift.
