@@vaettra1589 I think code s is more prestigious. I think super tournament is more fast paced while code s allows players more time to play strategies. I could be completely wrong though.
@@michael6909 Super T was IMHO, was important because no matter your WCS ranking the winner would go-to Blizzcon... But Code S is by far highest tier BUT is still a GSL crown so for example Maru and Innovation are tied at I believe Five total when talking about GOAT these things are important historicaly
The resurgence of Flash vs Jaedong, literally, love every second of it.. That last map though, knew was imba AF, kinda ruined the experience a bit but still well deserved
Rogue really personifies the swarm with his huge army control and Maru is just the resiliant terran. Amazing series to watch. Great plays from both of them!
I disagree. For one thing, Maru is just well rounded. He's not exactly a defensive player by any means though, quite the contrary, he's the multi pronged attack king.
Champion interviewee: "Well, it feels like my mechanics are still there..." Dude, they were way more than just being there! They were on fire, man!!! I doubt anyone else can pull off a "5000 minerals per min" for another final game of a final match for quite awhile.
Aside from this magnificent match between those two legends, I really have to emphasise how good the casting was. Of course, we miss Tasteless, but State has been a great, professional caster - so I'm hoping for more Statosis and of course also Tastosis! Yeahhh
One day toss players will collectively decide to learn late game + micro. Till then they're gonna keep playing 'meta' styles that focus on an all-in and get washed. Terran and Zerg players overall are better bc they push the game, not bc they're inherently a better race. Look how long it took for toss players to feedback vipers after they got the feedback range buff. Look how bad their control is with motherships. Look how little they utilize mid/late game prisms. Some do it well, but overall toss players are just behind Zergs/Terrans bc they suck xd

Amazing games so far, perhaps the best ZvT series this year after Serral vs Maru in King of Battles. That Maru in unflavorable conditions (late hours and lower pings/cross server issue) still can win against Serral, while Rogue vs Maru in this tournament, which both players are in similar condition, goes toe and toe until the Game 7 finished. That really shows how GOAT both of the players are.
Was just about to say the same exact thing. I really liked the casting and it has been hard to like anything but tastossis. Not that others aren't good but the chemistry of artist and tasteless is so good. Congrats to the "other" caster, great insights.
rogue is a man with powerful focus. look at those eyebrows , and his eyes . complete determination. he couldnt even blink.. his skin is vibrant . you can tell he was eating a lot of steamed fish from the look on his nose
I must say having State commentate alongside Artosis was fantastic all the way through the tourney. Artosis is always excellent at giving the players' track records and establishing the narrative of the matchup as the games get going, and State had clearly put in a lot of effort to match Arto's pace and also have tons of insights into player trends. The pair's play-by-play was excellent too throughout! While I do miss the classic Tastosis combo I really gotta tip my hat to State, you helped make this event super fun to watch!
@@AAkCN1 Idr the specifics but there was a series called North American Starcraft League and there was an instance where the sound was really bad? Honestly idr xd but I remember the events and it was good times for sc2 with Mr. Bitter and all the other great folks
Games were amazing as hell to watch. Really enjoyable... Will say... Music is also top notch, really sets the mood. Just a brilliant watching experience.
Rogue's macro is insanely fast. The moment a gold base is available it's pretty much a wrap for Rogue's opponents. Rogue knows no one can match him macro wise.
y, just like Flash and Jaedong, in fact looks like the resurgence of that matchup in a way, they both even look like the legends themselves, especially Rogue on JD :)
Absolutely super and fitting finale for this year and tourney!! Rogue and Maru both at the top of their game. TvZ is by far the most exciting match to spectate
Once again they put spoilers on the video title... In my view it would be a nice practice to add just "[2021 GSL ST S3] Finals" as headline and change the thumbnail to a Super Tournament one, like other GSL videos. There are people who can't watch live, like me, and would appreciate the thriller of watching it as if it were live, not knowing the results. After all it's great entertainment.
I have to admit, Rogue is the smartest sc2 player I have ever seen. He knows exactly how his opponent's think and prepares strategies and builds that always seem to play the game out how he wants. No wonder he does so well in big tournaments.
I got spoilered for who made it to the finals, because this video appeared in my recommended feed. Not sure what you can do about this generally, but consider not posting these per-match videos w/ spoiler titles until a few weeks have passed maybe? Anyway, thank you SO MUCH for hosting the gear StarCraft tournaments all these years
Just don't show pictures of the players in the thumb nail, and call the video "2021 GSL ST S3] Finals", while also adding the names of the players in the description box of the video. That way, the video still shows up, in searches for the players - Easy
If you're really so against being spoiled by these things, stop looking for it. If you wanna watch the Semis before the finals, just look it up and avoid other Vids. It's really not that hard
I agree with how broken some of Zerg's mechanics/units are. Terran has to micro their run-bys and drops with precision just to maybe kill a few Drones (which the Zerg can just remake in a few seconds anyway) while Zerg can literally just a-move a few cheap units in and can easily kill a huge chunk of the mineral line. They can also do this while spamming Nyduses, all requiring very little APM.
@@kommisar. Exactly i dont know how people dont see zerg as OP? its nuts. I mean the match where the chageling just waltzes in and provides vision for a nydus at that pivital time...is just bs. there needs to be something to detect changelings. One thing i dont get is why terrans dont use ravens or get the blue flame upgrade tho? Surely getting that small upgrade that basically doubles your effectiveness is worth it...when u see hellions get 3 drone kills and lose 3 hellions, there would have been 6,7,8 kills of drones if the upgrade were there, or when the hellions get surrounded by lings and die..they would have broke through and escaped most times geting more kills in the process. I get it these things cost a lot but pay off so much.
@@justsomeguy1671 Are you talking about mech or bio builds? Because they spend their money on Marines to kill Lings if they're going bio, and if they go mech they do indeed get blue flame. I just hate how Nyduses can get spammed with not only Changelings but anything. I think Changelings are fine as they are, but Nyduses are the most broken way of getting an entire army into a base. It even spreads a big amount of Creep right away.
@@kommisar. I was thinking either build. That buying the upgrade is always going to be worth it. I mean how many drones are worth buying the upgrade? 5? I sometimes watch games where Maru sends in wave after wave of hellions like 20 total and if he would have spent some resources on the upgrade he would've doubled his kills. Ya I wish the changelings were gone, or scans detected them at least.
It was pretty insane man, I honestly thought Maru was done for with all that aggression from Rogue. Never thought he could claw his back. All those nyduses from Rogue everywhere, multi-prong aggression, it was crazy.
Player names in title spoiled the semis for me - would it be possible to delay the separate final vod upload for more than a couple of hours or have the video title initially not have names?
You should avoid homepages on yt if you don't want to be spoiled and specifically lookup matches you want to see. No chance they'll make the change you're asking for
@@vick7848 yeah I'm aware it's not going to happen but this is a bad viewing experience - I have notifications on so that I can catch livestreams and I got a spoiler from that; opening up my subscriptions feed brings up a spoiler; if I click on the channel this video is the most recent upload an unavoidable; searching GSLis gonna bring this up too, only searching GSL semi final might work - spoilers in the title just just a bad time and this took away all the tension of watching the semis
@@rogerpyli yes, 'only searching gsl semi finals' would work. Now you know. Not be a dick about it but people that complain they got spoiled should take more responsibility instead of asking others to change to suit their wants
GSL forever! But serious question: would have bunkers made any sense? It's counter intuitive because you Maru needs to stop rogue from taking the map, but he already had as much mining as he could. Tightening up the defenses, super turtle style? I'm obviously not pro at all
