That's good to hear. I would be more concerned over the long term material quality. The more you rub something over the plastics, the higher chance of scratching or micro-abrasions.

We do the same thing. We keep a micro fiber cloth in the center counsel and give it the occasional wipe. Works great.

@@CarsMadeSimple I’ve been concerned about that, too. Especially since it’s a shiny surface. I’ve wiped it when the car is turned off and the surface is pretty hard - I expected it to be softer. I don’t like the fingerprints, so I’ve been swiping it every other day, and it literally takes two seconds because there really isn’t dirt on it - just natural oils. And I don’t have to apply any unusual pressure. I’m using the cloths made for eyeglasses. I’m trying to head off any damage at the pass. You might be able to tell that this is the first new car I’ve ever bought for myself!! I picked out just what I wanted, so I’m being hyper-particular!!

I mean it's not likely your neighbors will have the same tech....so when they get in their car...they will probably jack up my door!

I feel it heavy and slow my wife bought it for me i hope its hybrid for more accelaration? Is there a sport drive mode or something?

@@bloodmerchant4960 There is a sport drive mode in all Tucson's. The Hybrid and Plug In Hybrid should feel noticeably quicker accelerating because they have substantially more power.

Well that will be a good way to test out the vehicle for a period of time albeit not the best circumstances. The Tucson technically does have a turbo offering but it is paired to the Hybrid powertrain. The 2.5T inside of the Tucson would make for a quick machine!

Congrats! Most of the time you are fairly safe buying a first model year vehicle that is the highest trim. Sometimes new features are introduced but often times the changes are a few of the upper trims features trickle down to the lower trims.

The biggest benefits of the Tucson like you mentioned will be a few additional features along with the longer warranty. I would definitely check out the Tucson in person and take one for a drive if you can. I don't know where you are located but we currently have three Tucson Limited's available on the lot including the one seen in this video! 😁

So far I've seen them eight times... and counting... Music for the Masses Tour in 1988, World Violation Tour in 1990, Devotional Tour in 1993, Singles Tour in 1998, Touring the Angel tour in 2005, Tour of the Universe in 2009, Delta Machine Tour in 2013, and Global Spirit Tour in 2015.

I would guess the start/stop would be for gas models. We haven't had any 2023 Hybrids arrive yet but I could see it being for the gas models only.

I might be biased but I would go for the Tucson (Hybrid). I would say the radio infotainment is better than recent Toyota's I have been inside.

@@CarsMadeSimple thank you for the response! I'm just not looking for a hybrid at the moment. There are folk on various forums that don't think Hyundais have the best engine or that it will require a lot of maintenance in the long term. and there are others that say that their more recent cars starting in 2019 have come a long way and that those fears are overblown.. is that true? I guess that is my main concern, whereas Toyotas seem to be super reliable since it seems to be the car of choice for the Taliban in the middle east. lol

Yes, they shut off with the engine and will not turn back on unless you turn them back on yourself upon next startup.

I don't see any mention of Matrix LED headlights here in the US on the Sportage. The Tucson (like the Sportage) has LED Reflector Headlights or LED Projector headlights depending on the trim.

@@CarsMadeSimple Sportage has matrix leds starting with the penultimate version in europe. Led reflectors are the worse. Led projectors are better than the reflectors and worse than the matrix. Mazda cx5 and c30 also have matrix leds

@@snflas Yes, that makes sense. Our headlight laws have been very behind for many years so that is why we have very few Matrix LED's equipped vehicles. They just passed updates regulations earlier this year to allow for Matrix LED headlights but still have to finalize things. I would say maybe in the next 1-2 years we will start seeing models that have Matrix LED's overseas to be sold here with them as well on a larger scale.

The Tucson Hybrid Blue might be a good option if you are interested in the new Tucson. It retains the 8" screen with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay. It also offers the 1.6T engine paired with an electric motor for high total output vs the regular Tucson.

@@CarsMadeSimple Not into Hybrids at this time. Waiting for proper fully electric vehicles to become practical. I see the hybrid as a stepping stone that I want to jump over. :) I may move up to the Santa Fe with the 2.5 turbo and the wet dual clutch trans.

It looks like MPG did decrease 1 across the board for 2023. AWD - 23 City, 28 Highway, 25 Combined.

All Hyundai's with push button start have had immobilizers from the beginning. Only some vehicles with key start did not have an immobilizer through the 2021MY. Hyundai has been installing immobilizers on all vehicles from 2022 and onwards.

The extended warranty is what the dealer sold you, not Hyundai.

I don't know why a dealership would tell you the battery is not under warranty. Canada's rules might be different but if it was purchased new then I would surely believe Hyundai Canada offers a warranty on the electric components.

Battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km the dealer put you together.

Lol I’m paying $715 a month on 7.3 interest rate. It was brand new off the lot with no miles and my Credit wasn’t the best

There is no difference between a 2022 and 2023 Tucson Limited. Both have wired Android Auto and Apple Carplay only.
