Ouch, I hope it’s nowhere near that long.

That’s a long wait time, considering that for gas models you don’t need to wait as much (much less wait time for gas models vs hybrid models)

I switched my 14 month old Prime order to a straight hybrid in late March. Supposed to receive in 2 weeks.

Told today the wait here is 2 to 3 years. If I decide to get one I’ll just buy from a private seller that doesn’t want their order. About 10k more but given the price on a ordered one will rise by several thousand over the next 2 or 3 years that you will have to pay, the 10k is more likely to be about 5k. Not much of a premium to get one immediately.

For me, deal breaker they won't give you real leather option

I don’t understand it, Toyota now offers 13 ways to have your RAV4 without including the prime, I can’t see a financial argument for not offering even manual height adjustment on any of them

@@CrookedMustache yea only models w the powered seat allow you to adjust the height.

@@jxmar_ so basically the limited, limited hybrid and xse prime only, for the camry it’s on all trim levels weather you have the manual passenger seat on base models or the power passenger seat on top of the line models

Your car was delivered with only one key fob?

@@CrookedMustache yes only one. They initially told me I’d get the second on in a month or so. NOT the truth.

really? so now toyota is giving you just 1 key? and a year later the other key?

I reached out the owner, He tells me it was purchased at Ross. I tried looking online and found something that appears to be quite similar but I can't guarantee its the same amzn.to/3Yhcy7v

Thank you Roel P, a manual in the current RAV4? Now I’m trying to imagine having the revvy 2.0 liter with the manual here in the states, it’ll never happen but that sounds like a cool combo

@johnamartin7158 hey John are we talking about the drivers seat or the passenger seat. It’s the passenger seat that Toyota seems to mount rather high considering it lacks any height adjustability despite the drivers seat having even the 8 way option

@@CrookedMustache Hi ! My driver seat on the RAV4 Hybrid. But yes you’re right nothing on my passers front seat. The Limited Hybrid in NZ has power seat adjustment on both sides. Limited has more tech and yes the 2 tone RAV4 Hybrid Hybrid costs more. Go figure. I’m 176 cm and getting in and out of drivers seat even with power adjustments require a little contortion. Yea and it doesn’t look like it right? It’s 12 inches longer overall with a wheel base that almost 6 inches longer. That adds up to a fraction more leg room front and back for the Camry. But total interior volume and cargo volume goes to the Rav4.

I think when it comes to front driver and passenger head room the Camary is bigger “. But when it comes to overall cargo space and rear seat space the rav is a lot bigger “ I have the 2022 rav 4 xle. I am 6’1 and I have plenty of space when I am driving on a daily basis. But when it comes to car camping, or fitting a bike in the rear seat/ trunk, the rav is not big enough. Now I really want to get the 4 runner

This one is just the XLE; note the 17in wheels; if you're walking on a dealer lot, look for the larger 19 in wheels, The XLE premium and the Limited share the same 19 in wheels. The easiest way to tell them apart (especially from the front) is the grill. Black on the XLE Premium and Dark grey on the Limited From the side, color-matched door handles on the XLE Premium and chrome on the limited

Are you kidding?? I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring in January. I could have bought a Tesla but I still prefer an ICE car for a few reasons: 1) Lack of EV charging infrastructure. We have an excellent EV charging infrastructure here in the town where I live. But what if I want to drive from South Florida where I live to TX or CO? I’d hate to be stuck in the middle-of-nowhere Midwest plains with no charge. 2) Replacement batteries are incredibly expensive. 3) Batteries have a tendency to explode and set your car (and possibly your house) on fire. I’ve seen news stories where this happened. 4) Teslas are NOT actually eco-friendly. Have you looked into the metals and minerals needed for EVs and what mining them does to the earth?? Permanent damage. 5) Battery disposal is even worse for the environment. 6) Cost of Teslas. They’ve been significantly more expensive than ICE cars until recently. Your average Joe can’t afford a $60K EV just to virtue signal to the neighborhood. I can get a reliable, long-lasting, energy (gas) efficient Honda for a fraction of the price that’s more environmentally friendly and significantly less expensive. Honda Civics range from $22K-$31K. EVs are still niche, not ready for mass-market prime time. If you want to spend big bucks to be EV guinea pigs, be my guest. I’m not going to be an EV guinea pig. Please ask me again in 10 years…

Rav4 is better.

The stereo on the rav4 is much better

@@drjprice agreed the jbl stereo on the rav4 isnt so good. But the stock stereos the rav4 sounds slightly better and is louder
