Matt a great piece of kit to invest in is a air compressor, cost around £100 English pounds and are a god send for us RC guys, just give your cars, trucks a good blast with compressed air after each day of use & keeps your RC collection looking like new still. infraction? dumborc is fricken amazing. it lacks end point adjustment i would recommend the radiolink rc4gs v2. awesome distance and fully programmable radio.

Hey, just curious, other than the spur gear did you have any upgraded gears in your drivetrain? I want to swap mine to 6s but not sure if my drivetrain could handle it

Hey dude, its completely stock, handles it fine, although I'd actually recommend 4s over 6s, 6s is alot more weight and if you don't plan on running a big pinion for those high speeds, then 4s will be better just my opinion dude, have fun 😀

I just threw in the same system on my slash 4x4 with a 54 spur and 17t pinon wondering whats a better gearing too go faster right now I tried it on 3s and it felt slower than the vxl on 3s

i haven't played around a lot with gearing however, id just start of small, try 19, then go to 21 or 22 etc.. but, be sure to keep checking your temperatures. the stock vxl uses a 13tooth so it will have more accelerating.

@@MatthewSimm yea I just tried the 21t pinon with the stock 54 spur on 3s and it felt like my vxl 3s on a 13t pinion not even close to the 19t pinion it comes with I need more juice. What gear setup where you running it seemed allot faster on 4s which is less juice but im guessing the 6s battery is heavier

What chassis is this? I don’t think this would fit in the regular slash 4x4 chassis because the motor, esc and servo are all in a row and stuff would need to be rearranged to fit.

I have one 4076 2200kv and i only run 4s change all the bearings and after 10, 15 min run the motor is very hot and is new 😫 run 18t pinion 54 spur

I'm putting in a Hobbywing Max 8 G2 with the 2500kv motor, 4s, in my Slash Ultimate. What is a good gear and spur gear ratio? Nothing insane, moderate will be fine. Thanks heaps :)

I now like to use an air compressor am a small brush, after every run u just give it a quick blow down and sonetime I use a bit of tyre shine on a cloth to make the plastics looks new again

Didn't have space to test the range to the max but got 300 yds without a problem, that was nice,my TQ had some issues, at 100' I'd be walking to reconnect not anymore...
