I will work out the kinks. Aka battery tie down, shorten battery wires, and lengthen motor wires, and also figure out the best pinion for the truck. Like and SUBSCRIBE!!!
Seem to be handling that extra power well? Nice lil run with the slash. The slash was my very first rc car. That was back in 2012 I sold it since then and just got back in to the hobby this year. The closest thing I have to the slash is my v3 3s senton. Thanks for sharing with us😊
Hey Josh I’d look into dual lock Velcro for the esc mounting tape and then measure up the TRAXXAS maxx 4s Xtreme racing battery strap as that’s what folk will use to fit a larger lipo d run 6s I’m just not sure if it’ll fit your slash😎 or even look at using it to secure your lipos the same way you would the esc if you follow I really do hope this helps or you’ve already sorted something out
Probably, the rustler 4x4 is the same as a slash 4x4 LCG chassis which has the receiver up front so that should allow more room for the ESC and everything should fit even better than in mine. If you do this you have to get the center Diff upgrade and get the spiral geared rear Diff and the front one if you can afford it but definitely get the spiral cut rear Diff and also get some belted tires 👍
I’d either gear it down if it’s on a higher than stock gearing or I’d get a new motor. I recommend a HobbyStar Motor. Those HobbyStars are very powerful and super reliable! Measure the width of the motor in MM and the length of the motor in MM and it goes width/length. So for example a size close to your motor would be a 4076. 40 meaning a 40mm width and 76 meaning a 76mm length. Go to eBay and find the HobbyStar motor you want from the seller RCJuice and buy from them.
Also make sure to get a lower KV motor than you have currently if you want to keep running the same gearing. For example Arrma has a 2050kv motor for their 6s cars and that’s what I have in my Slash 4x4.
The ERevo 2.0 motor is a 4275 and the closest thing to it is a 4076 motor. I’d try this 4076 motor if you can spare the extra 1mm in length. Just get a little lower KV than you currently have. I’d try this 1700kv 4076 motor because you can gear it up if you want and you’ll have more torque regardless. www.ebay.com/itm/HobbyStar-4076-Brushless-Sensorless-Motor-1700KV-1-8-RC-Monster-Truck-Truggy-/181853326189?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 This motor is a direct drop in if you have the 6.5mm bullet connectors that come stock on the ERevo 2.0 6s ESC. This 4076 1700kv can handle 6s so don’t worry. I hope all this helps you. If you need any more help I am here and you can just reply. SUBSCRIBE!!!
Seems like you could go up a few teeth on the pinion. A motor that powerful in a vehicle much smaller and lighter than it was meant to handle will have it running ice cold all day. Throw a 25t in there and get those backlfips going!
@@joshsrcs If you can touch it for 10 seconds you're fine. Might wanna get a temp gun on it, it'll be more accurate, but it's not gonna fry until it's too hot to touch for even a few seconds. Most motors should stay under 160 F
Yes, the Arrma motor has a 5mm shaft so I had to buy a 5mm bore pinion. I recommend buying a Robinson Racing pinion because they are very strong. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!!!
Look slow I run stock with 3 s forget what gear but it ran faster right now am building a lcg billet chassis for drag going run 2200kv with MMX with 4s with 32/26 and guess going be 55-65 mph already order J Concept 0240 illusion scalper speed run body
Cool. It’s faster than it looks in the video now. The tires were not up to it. Doesn’t handle too well off-road anyways especially when it’s wet. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!!!
