Great tips! I can't wait to try the Photoshop technique. I gave up years ago with the old titler doing credit rolls because I couldn't get it to scroll without some sort of flicker or jitter regardless of how I rendered it. I use to switch over two Sony Vegas for that, then simply stopped doing credits altogether. I'm curious to see how stable this roll will look once it's rendered.

I just fanboyed out right there 😅, but I couldn't help myself, man. Thank you, pimpin! Thank You!

Nice tutorial as always. Could have exported the whole document as PNG from Photoshop with the background layer turned off from the eye icon in the layers panel. Then it will keep the document dimensions and no need to add a blank mask to the credits.

Great vid but I still cant find the answer to my question, How do you reverse the direction of the rolling credit? I want mine to start from top of screen and end on the bottom. Premiere Pro cc 2020 and the "reverse speed" box is not active. Yes, I've tried nesting it, still no ability to reverse...
@guryushika

Was trying to roll the text in the text box, but roll option is rolling the text box itself not the text…thank you for that so clever and simple idea with the png !!!

Suggestion: Instead of trying to do the credits in Photoshop, do them in InDesign. There's a lot more flexibility in manipulating text there. You can also use Illustrator, but InDesign is built more for text. Then just export to transparent PNG.

I tried following the third option and for some reason my text gets cut off. I tried stretching the text box, but it doesn't seem to work. Any advice?

Hello Tut. Is there a character limit for the text box layers? It seems so. I have a list of names (for a graduation) and I could only pull the text box so far down before it stopped. I gather that I must divide the list into separate text box layers. If anyone here has input, please share.

What if you want the credits to stop at the final line , say "copyright so and so" and freeze there? Is there an option for that? (Im talking about the "Roll" text option.
@tutvid
@tutvid 6 лет назад
You'll want to use the "Post Roll" option and figure out how many frames you'd like the graphic(s) to freeze on screen for right there at the end.

@dstack1014
@dstack1014 6 лет назад
glad i'm not the only one having that issue. even when rendered and with the frame blending i can't get a smooth crawl. i use to use sony vegas which was great at this. i've never been able to get premiere to do a smooth crawl.
@hakimkimmy
@hakimkimmy 6 лет назад
David Stack exactly. I created a 60 fps timeline in after effects, render and export, put it in my 24fps timeline in premier making sure that i conform it to 24 fps instead of 60fps. It sort of work. :/
@dstack1014
