How fit are you? Let's find out!
The 3-minute step test timer (Also known as the YMCA, Canadian or Harvard step test) is a sub-maximal fitness test assessing cardiorespiratory endurance. It is a great alternative to the maximal effort beep test and measures how quickly or slowly your heart rate rises in response for 3 minutes of exercise - the lower your heart rate at the end of the test, the fitter you are!
This 3-minute step test timer video is designed for you to follow along at home. It includes:
★ 3 minute timer with 'up, up, down, down" guidance
Instructions:
1. Follow along and complete the 3 minutes using a 30cm (12 inch) box or step
2. After the test, immediately measure your heart rate for 1 minute
3. Finally, find out what your score means at stronglinksfit...

Useless in practice because advertisement stops the count at end of three mins so it cannot be fully completed unless you have other timers running for timing the final minute of heartrate check.
