@FenrirBoom I pressure cook a big bone with marrow with just water. The broth in the store has a lot of things added. You can boil on the stove, but it takes a long time.
@@Beekay2166 Meat (beef, chicken, liver, fish, bacon, sausage) with seasonings as desired, eggs, moderate cheese or no cheese. Make sure everything is 0 carbs and does not have artificial sweeteners that cause an insulin response (erythritol and sucralose are kinda okay, but all the others are bad for diabetics, especially maltodextrin that has almost twice the insulin response of sugar). Supplement with a B complex, potassium, magnesium glycine (taken before bed) and salt your foods moderately. Coffee, tea, club soda, water. You'll feel full fast and then stop eating. Eat within a 6-8 hour window per day, maybe try one meal a day. It's bare bones, but you drop a ton of weight and feel great. Lab work is great. Reverses diabetes eventually. I like seeing your content because you have the studies to back up what you advise us to eat. I need to have someone hold my hand through this crazy land of what is the best diet for humans.
@@rcristy He's right. So is he still trolling? We can only know the truth about what to eat on how it affects our individual bodies. Look at the people living in their nineties. Did they worry about carbs, sugars, oils? What to eat, when, how often? I doubt it. I'm just trying to stay away from proccesed foods, oils and things that negatively affect me personally.
Im leaning strongly towards a fruit-heavy diet with meat as needed. Since reintroducing fruit back into my diet my health and happiness has skyrocketed!
An important thing to remember is that Paul is very active every single day, if you're a mostly sedentary person I would take it very easy on the fruit and honey. Just my opinion.
Yes, also genetics here at play. Sugar does a lot of damage to the body in the form of glycation, oxidation and harming the mitochondria. There's much smarter people than him with proper qualifications not a degree in psychiatry.
I totally agree with needing carbs. Every time I stay low/no carb for extended periods of time I get really bad heart palpitations. I think the problem is heavily processed carbohydrates eaten in excess that are hurting people. God bless!
He does look older since he introduced fruits and honey though...and normal people don't surf 2 to 3 hours per day, some don't even need 150g of carbs...
@@CiprianFx59 it works for me as a mum, I have a fast metabolism though. I appreciate that he presents the most nutritional option that is sustainable and isn’t acting like it’s a cult
Thank you for your insight. Hubby and I have been struggling. Mostly me with no fruit. I feel exonerated into another avenue to health. Thank you thank you thank you.😊🎉❤
Maybe vegetables are bad if you cook them properly. Just take a look at traditional preparations of collard greens in the USA South, where it's cooks for hours to get it extremely tender. What's "bad" is if you eat a lot of **raw** green salads of kale/spinach, where oxalates and anti-nutrients remain present. Tried Paul's meat and fruit diet for the last year and it got me very lean, but also gave me bad skin (face breakouts) and poor bowel movements. Started to add back cruciferous vegetables (steamed until tender, tend sautéed in non seed oils) and already starting to make improvements.
I found that when I did pure carnivore I rarely had sugar cravings and it was easier to fight off. Now that I’m trying animal based, I feel a bit more cravings for sugar. I could eat an entire pound of blueberries and still want more.
What are you talking about? No one is addicted to pure sugar. They are addicted to junk foods which contain fats and carbs combined. There's a huge difference. You can run on pure sugar all day long and not have any problems in your diet
@@Studiovette 100%. Most don't though. But part of the reason is the chronic inflammation all over their body as a consquence of bad diet. Gives them pain when they move. Fix the diet, fix the body and movement shall follow.

Mis-steak is to leave out collagen! 😅 When you regularly pull your head and neck down to your drink/mobile/food, no matter how much exercise, your body will end up shrunk and muscle-bound. Have a go at using Alexander Technique for length
I find that when I eat bone broth, I get the same reaction (restless legs, sleep disturbance) as I get from msg. Research tells me that it's free glutamic acid that is the culprit. Also, glycine can turn to glutamate in some people. Very bad excitotoxic for some people.
Paul’s: 1. Not getting enough collagen (amino acid imbalance) 2. Not getting enough carbohydrates (lack of electrolytes) 3. Not eating organs (amino acid imbalance) Mine: 1. Combining collagen and dairy (Glycine displaces calcium, disrupting digestion) 2. Combining fruit and meat (Vitamin C enhances iron absorption, causing accelerated aging) 3. Eating too much liver and kidneys (Vitamin A overload)
@@unclegardenerso with #2 you are basically saying animal based diet accelerates aging because too much iron? Dont we need iron? So what foods do you eat instead?
@@dean7673 Iron overload is common, just don’t eat meat and fruit (especially vitamin C rich fruit) at the same time, eat fruit like 0.5-1h before the rest of the meal for better digestion
@@unclegardener that makes sense, but I don’t see how eating them separately would help because you are still consuming the same amount of Vitamin C and Iron. Paul has talked about using blood donations to reduce iron.
I truly don't know what to say. Mainly because of all your robust videos that you have out there. So many videos... But that's what it takes sometimes. Hopefully you don't mind I've been taking your RU-vid shortcodes and putting them on my direct me link I like to show it to you.
All this information is excellent advice !! Off topic , it is sure enjoyable that you set up with that gorgeous green outdoors behind you ! 🌿👏 beautiful world you live in. ,
Love that you eat raw organs instead of cooked! This is because organs can become tougher, have more of a mineral-y taste, and just become less delicious and rich. Additionally, when you don’t cook meat, you preserve a lot of the nutrients present like vitamin C and the b vitamin complex. Some of my favorite dishes for raw organ and muscle meat are foie gras (from healthy, not sick, animals, of course), steak tartare, carpaccio, sashimi, kibbeh (not the fried version), and tataki.
Bart Kay is obsessed with pushing a strict dogma of "my diet is the only correct diet" and ignores the fact that RESULTS are what actually matter. Paul tried Bart's diet for years and improved his health across the board when he finally moved away from it
@@junglecat7263 yup bart has serious orthorexia disorder putting it politely. Chaffey seems to be evolving some after having access to Dr Cywes recently too
Yep, they are sneaking in on every food they can with their stupid chemicals. It sucks. Only way, to be safe, is to grow your own stuff or buy fresh from local people you can talk to. But then lots of us won't have fruits for like 5-8 months a year. Paul made a very good decision to move to Costa Rica. Amazing country, amazing food quality.
Focus on fruits that have their own natural peel or skin which you can remove and not eat. Bananas, apples, mangoes, pears, oranges. Take the skin off before consuming and you’re not getting any “apeel”.
That's your evidence. I added fruits yesterday and I almost didn't sleep. Fever, bloated stomach, severe cramps, and today, thoracic pain, which is gas escaping from guts. My blood sugar is so high and no ketones (0.1). So of course your advices helped, but just to feel bad !
I would love to hear your thoughts on a Weston A Price/Nourishing Traditions diet! I have not heard any meat based Drs go into detail or hardly mention it. I am currently carnivore but plan to transition to WAP. Please make a video!
I have been watching your content since the beginning. Question. What are your thoughts on fruit, honey, and raw milk for epilepsy, is keto carnivore best or would epilepsy be improve by adding these carbs specifically for a child?
@@justine3769 I understand that part. But if it’s an epilepsy caused by metal toxicity for example. Is it worth eating wild blueberries for detoxification maybe cilantro and spirulina or is ketosis enough. I know he talks about fruits bettering hormones. So is it best to take medication and eat fruits or is it just best to stay in ketosis and avoid it all. Again specifically for a child who has a chance to outgrow epilepsy.
@@mataperro818Great questions. Carbs and processed foods are ubiquitous, so is it really the ketogenic part of the diet or is it removing inflammatory processed foods?
@@allenbrost9564 Right. That is my point exactly is it better to focus on everything that brings down inflammation like fruits for example. Or is keto enough? And is keto just treating the symptoms? Can fruit an herbs speed up the healing process?
Is lambs liver a good enough substitute for cows liver? Its very hard to find cows liver in store but lambs liver is easily found in most supermarkets in the UK. Maybe as a video topic you could do a tier list of all the organs from different animals you would consider.
The vitamin A content is tripled (3 times higher) with lamb liver, compared to beef liver. So you cannot eat as much per week with lamb liver. I tried, got headache for 4 days😅
Thanks for the valuable information. You said to eat raw liver. It will be the same to eat it cooked. I prepare and eat almost daily a liver pate that I love.
I’m ok with your use of the term ancient and hunter gatherer. What I don’t agree with is the consumption of fruit outside its growing season. I similarly point out to carnivores that there’s a lean meat season. Why do I say this…? Only now are bananas available now in the Philippines unless humans intervene. Our personal trees have just now seeing avocado, mango and banana… pineapple is another month away. In short.., I wish you’d start citing the seasonal bioavailability when you’re citing terms like ancient and hunter gatherer
Just because all humans didn't have access to fruit all year long doesn't mean it's bad for you to consume out of season. That logic isn't based on any solid evidence. Also, most don't discuss that ancient humans were eating fresh meat and getting glycogen and carbs in their diet, so it's most likely that they were not in ketosis most of the time... unless starving.
Paul these videos help lots. I am in need to gain weight but not lose my doctors say I need roughly 1500 calories a day how can I do that? And can you make a video on using this diet for weight gain
I strongly feel like you forgot mistake #1: getting too much linoleic acid, too much Omega 6. Eating too much fatty pork and chicken. I'm really surprised this wasn't mentioned in this video.
All 'day in a life' of carnivore/animal based videos are people who are home all day. What if you had a 9-5 job? What are some things I can eat at work without using the microwave. meal prep cold omellete, cured meat and raw cheese. Cant think of anything else. Any help appreciated thanks!
I would gladly order your supplement. Unfortunately, my country is not in the options. I knew after adding three products to my basket. I hope you consider delivering to the Middle East. Thank you
Do you believe in or give any merit to the blood type diet, Eat right 4 [for] your type [book], sounds sensible but dose our blood have that much control of our digestive system, just searching for answers. I respect how you’ve changed with experience and new research and seem true so thank you for your time and respect your opinion
I think excess Iron is another thing to look out for in terms of animal based Many will really see their skin/etc start to improve when eating less red meat in favor of seafood/turkey/etc
I don’t know how to make this bone broth? I do t have a pressure cooker or whatever this reverse osmosis water is… please make a video on how to make bone broth Paul!
Ok, I am a cyclist. What would You eat before a 2 hours Ride in the morning. For example: Wake up at 5am, Ride at 6am. Remember adding a minimum of 40grams of carbs per Hour of Training. Carbs have to be easy to Digest. Any suggestions? And do you know any endurance Athletes who eat that way?
Ruined my liver trying to do this much fruit. Be careful. Meat, water, salt is all I need. When you’re able to live in Costa Rica in the sun 24/7 then fruit is great.
Heart and Soil Supplements rip people off. They bottles are short and the customer service doesn’t help or care. Every bottle I bought was short. I’ve reached out Paul. No response.
You can also take too much of that stuff and get negative effects like I did. Turns out we really don't need organs, muscle meat is perfectly appropriate for our species
Paul's just milking his fanbase for money, carbohydrates at this level have absolutely no place in a healthy diet. Absolutely destroying your mitochondria & increasing oxidation and glycation in the body. Look into Paul Mason, he's a good starting point for a healthier diet. All the best
@@Zachhatesyoutube No, you do need organs, the most nutrient dense food on the whole planet. All ancestral communities considered muscle meat dog food. Liver and oyster are mandatory if you want to feel great. You don't need to buy supplements, just eat liver.
Just follow a ratio of muscle to organ meat. You don't need alot of organs. I have about 1 tablespoon of organ meat (swallowed down with water because I'm a baby about it) on the side with a meat meal. But not every day, I alternate with the bone broth. HTH☺️
Thank you so much for all he great info. Question -- when you say fruit juice does that include orange juice in a carton or are you only referring to juice that you squeeze yourself? In the past (not any longer because of getting better) drinking OJ from carton bought in store could bring glucose level up to 255 (but that was accompanied by cereals and other bad wheat seeds, as you've helped us to understand since they contain oxalate, and pastas.
I'm suspicious to hear that you *can't* get diabetes from eating sugar (when it's in fruit). On the other hand, fruit's less sugar-dense than white sugar, so it is probably practically impossible to achieve diabetes while consuming only fruit sugars. Most of the other stuff you say seems relatively straightforward, hopefully you explain your thoughts on diabetes more.
Type 2 diabetes is wild and going high sugar/carb actually is the best protocol and I came to this after years of keto, fasting, and carnivore. Although those diets seem to regulate blood sugar, they are making the fundamental problem much worse. Increased gluconeogensis from the liver and increased glucagon. It's bad. You can become similar to a type 1 diabetic when on low carb diets for long periods. Sugar doesn't cause it, it's much more nuanced
hey paul, i just got engaged and we were working on a registry and wanted to use non toxic cookware/utensils/storage, do you think you could make a video giving over recommendations or alternatives to mainstream items
Not sure I agree with the carb thing, which makes this video valuable for me. There's no point in only exposing yourself to ideas that you are already on board with.
I dont like fruit, I dont feel that I need them. (sometimes a 1-2 bananas is ok, but thats is) In terms of carbs I eat a teaspoon of honey and kefir, sour cream, sometimes a handful of peanut. And a potato once a month. I feel ok most of the times, unless I forget to drink. I think everyone needs to experiment to find out whats working and what not.
Interesting that Paul says that the fructose studies are done in animal model studies and should be ignored/discounted. Yet he continuously brings up studies that are favourable for his argument that use animal models to make his point (examples = artificial sweeteners are bad, the oxalate argument etc)
most people suffering from autoimmune disease and cancer have candida overgrowth. Sugar and dairy are no good in this case and would only feed the overgrowth.
@@allenbrost9564 agreed, the old myths about candida need to go. Candida over blooms as a symptom of imbalance. It exists in even the healthiest bodies and consumes excess sugars.
Food of the gods. Became a huge fan about 25 years ago, when it was suggested as a replacement for asthma meds. Still a daily staple for me to this day. No jitters, no acid, I can even sleep after having it.

I think it's because the high level of activity you do through Paul, most people cannot drink juiced fruits and not have the insane cravings for sugar come back. You know better than I do how the fruit matter very much mitigates the effect of fructose on the body, fruits were made to eat as is!
Paul is really wish you could interview dr. William Davis as he’s the one that kinda revolutionized the movement on the l-reuteri yogurt for your gut health. I listened to your podcast with Gorgi about endotoxins etc but surprised you guys never discussed about healthy gut microbes and their roles. I was wondering about your opinion on this
I'm not sure what's going on. I've been on the diet you suggest for almost 2 months, although I do feel better, and my inflammation is almost completely gone, I only have a couple hours of energy a day. I've adjusted my carbs from fruit because I'm not as active as you. I work in restaurants, so I'm moving at work for several hours almost constantly. I drink a lot of water, I salt my food well, and even use electrolytes on days I don't eat so much. I mostly eat ground beef because that's what I can afford. I eat a few ounces of heart daily, and sometimes liver. I also lift weights about 3 to 4 hours a week. I could use some more cardio in my routine, which I will add soon, but it's very hard with how tired I am. I sleep at least 7 hours a night, and wake up feeling pretty rested, but by noon I'm ready to just sit down. Not sure what to make of it, and of course, I can't get a doctor to run my blood work, and I can't afford the tests at this time.
Could it be that you’re not getting enough Fatty Meat? I know you said you only eat Ground Meat, maybe that could be it? Do you eat Lean Ground Beef, like 93/7 or 95/5? Maybe try going more fatty to 80/20 or even 85/15?? That could very well explain your energy dumps. If only you could try a Fatty Ribeye or Porterhouse Steak and see what your energy would be like coming from that Meal alone. I also would recommend Bananas, IMHO they are a Lifesaver in terms of Energy.
I am from croatia. In places where people eat the least plants and the most meat people are the tallest and strongest. And reverse is true. In plains where agriculture is the thing people are shorter and less developed. In montaneous areas where there is mostly cattle people are much bigger and stronger with thicker hair and better teeth.
I make a homemade bone broth cocoa with bone broth, organic cocoa, raw cream or goat's milk with maple syrup (I don't like honey). Sometimes I'll add electrolytes but I drink it every evening as my "dessert" or something sweet.
@ victory in Jesus, I would’ve never thought to add cocoa and cream to bone broth. Thank you for this tip! And God bless you too-I believe our savior is coming back soon! 🎉
@@justine3769 because real hot cocoa is a part of my culture so it's a good way to keep it animal based and honey taste funny so the better question is why not
I appreciate and enjoy your content! Sometimes I simply do not want to consume bone broth - just an aversion to it I guess? What can I do to create balance?
You can go to the butcher and get beef knuckle bones and beef shank and beef foot. All cuts of beef with a lot of tendons and joints. And then slow cook it from raw in a big pot for 3-4 hours. You’ll have lots of collagenous rich jelly broth
My diet is animal based . I tried with fruit and besides it being expensive and rots fast my triglycerides went up fast and fructose malabsorption messed with my gut. I now eat plain old white potatoes with my meat and my digestion is great. They are cheap and loaded with potassium (more than fruit). I boil up a whole bunch and just grab them out of fridge and eat with my meat. They also don't mess with my blood sugar like fruit either. Also $15.00 for a fifty pound bag is way better for my budget. I peel well and never eat if any green. They are low in oxalates when peeled and boiled.
