Thank you for sharing ways to seal the Distressed inks. I just created a mixed media piece that was finished with the Distressed inks. I didn't want to ruin it by trying out different mediums I have.

Great tips! I love the Micro Glaze for envelopes even when I don't need it for the card, itself. Sometimes I like to stamp or address the envelope with a matching Distress ink or marker, but I worry that an envelope might get a few raindrops on it. The Micro Glaze ensures the envelope ink won't smear or bleed, and it's almost undetectable.

Love this type of video!! I also love your card videos, but this really helps me better understand products and their purpose. Another tool that baffle me is glitter glue. I don't really get it -- why would I want to use it when I can just use regular glue and glitter - a video on the uses for, and reasons for choosing glitter glue would be really helpful!! thanks so much - :)

I’m having trouble with multi medium matte moving my distress ink. I thought that wasn’t supposed to happen. I just started art journaling & I’ve ruined two pages now because it moves the ink. What is going on?

I tried the same with oxide ink, but even after putting a gesso translucent and dried it, the paste still pulled the color through. I used white chalk marker to cover them again to make them white

Thank you for this video! I have used distress glaze but I haven't had much luck stamping over it (like on a blended background) . Is there a trick to that?

I wouldn't stamp over it. If you absolutely have to apply micro glaze on your project, first stamp and then apply it

Or use staz'on ink to stamp, that should work but I haven't tried it

Thank you. I will have to do some experimenting! I was making cards for the nursing home residents to use and worried that if they had damp hands or something while looking through the cards the ink would smudge. :(

Multi medium is gel medium actually. I never used mod podge so can't tell about that.

I thought distress ink was an alcohol based ink. I also thought alcohol ink (what they use in sharpies) is always permanent. Am I wrong? What is the base of distress ink?

Distress ink is water based and reacts with water, it isn’t permanent and allows for tons of techniques and easy blending. Look at it as watercolor in a form of an ink pad. Alcohol ink is permanent, dries almost instantly and does not react with water. There are no alcohol based ink pads as the alcohol would dry thus alcohol inks comes only in a form of a marker or in bottles. Permanent ink pads are usually oil based like the archival ink pads by Ranger.

modelling paste, texture paste, embossing paste .... all similar products great for adding texture. some are thicker or have some grain on them, some resist paint... but they are pretty much the same and it depends on the brand. All great to apply over a stencil
