33 Year Old Vintage Honda ATV Quad Gets a Restoration Pt.1 This all original 1986 Honda TRX 70 has not run in more than a decade. Even it's tires are all original! It has sat covered in the corner of the shed and forgotten about for years... Until now! This classic machine deserves a proper restoration so it can continue to live on and provide many more years of fun and excitement!
In this episode we remove it from it's resting place in the shed and get it into the workshop so we can see what it needs after being in storage for so many years. The gas tank is a little rusty but I think we might have a fix for that!

It's worth the fix , don't forget to put some grease in those sealed wheel bearings also I would put some lead substitute and octane boost in the fuel just for fun , those tank repair kits work real good .old couches have that good dense foam for the seat
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 5 лет назад
WOW! All excellent advise and I never even gave a couch cushion a thought! Great idea! Thank you! I might see if I can try to patch that little corner of the seat together...I really like the couch cushion idea!
@tanksoldier9770
@tanksoldier9770 5 лет назад
Hay Brandon that foam is the real heavy cushions in the old couches ,I was the first one to use a 3 wheeler for irrigation in our valley years back ,I found out the hard way that the water is hard on the bearings , every irrigation takes me about 5 miles of travel I lost one on the front bearings and for a quick fix I used a chunk of thick bacon rind ( no kidding ) it held up for the 5 mile irrigation but not much more , I use the lead substitute in all of my small engines and old tractors well all of my old stuff . keep up the good work !!

Just picked one up yesterday all original parked in barn for years, mine has the same exact tag assembled 9/85.. I paid $125! Completed this video tonight, unfortunately my gas tank had a hole in it so I ordered the plastic replacement, two front tires have small cracks so hoping the tubes I ordered work. Rear tires hold air just like yours. I plan to polish and paint while I wait on parts. Great video
