Honda TRX70 Rebuild Pt.2 Gas tank Restoration. In this episode i attempt to reuse the original honda metal gas tank that is covered in rust scale. I'm trying out a product designed to dissolve rust. The results were amazing! If you have a gas tank that is rusty inside, check out this process on how to remove rust from inside your gas tank.
While the rust in the gas tank is dissolving we continue to take apart the rest of the ATV. Then we test out some metal polish to see if we can brighten up all the original rusty chrome.

Year old video! And I’m watching it now. Tearing apart my trx70. 1986 right now as well. Had mice living in my fuel tank. I’m pretty sure it’s shot. 😩. Rebuilding it for my son. Just ordered a new carburetor and plastic fuel Tank today!!

Thanks for this, I’ve use Apple cider vinegar before. It worked well but dealing with “flashover “ can be tricky and it sinks up the garage. Going through my ‘83 ATC 110 now, your vid was helpful. 👍

I've tried vinegar on cleaning up some rusty bolts and was very happy with the results. I havent tried it in a gas tank though. One day when my grandson is bigger and out grows this. i'm hoping to get him a 110 also. These Hondas are pretty much bullet proof! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Apple cider vinegar in a bucket using it as a electrolysis base works wonders .

Dear oh dear Brendon. Using bags to keep your removed nuts & bolts in so you don't lose them? Definitely not in the Electricians' Code Book. When working on mechanical gear, nuts & bolts should be all collectively stored in a bucket, preferably with a hole in it. This is to ensure that on reassembly there will always be a spare nut or bolt.................... 😂😂😂😂 Top job mate. Don't know how I missed this vid, but all caught up now, btw, nice job on the seat. Cheers!! 🇦🇺 🍺🍺

I always look forward to your comments buddy because you make me chuckle. Back in the day that was how I used to tear stuff down...throw everything into one giant coffee can. It's makes reassembly very interesting and usually yields a few spare nuts and bolts afterwards :) Cheers buddy! 🍻

In your first episode, you asked where to buy parts. www.HONDAATC70.com is your best bet. eBay is always a very useful source. Also join us Honda guys in some Facebook groups if you haven’t already: ATC 70 HONDA TRIKES AND PARTS & Honda Hoarders

Thanks man! I appreciate the links. I'll be starting back up on that real soon so it will come in handy! It's been crazy busy so I had to put that project on the back burner but we will be back in full swing soon. Thanks again buddy!
