I decided while I was working on the diff in my 350z, it was a good time to go ahead and get new axles. I read online that the 370z axles where a direct bolt in (if you swap the wheel bearings), plus they were bigger and brand new with a lifetime warranty. This is a very straight forward swap that you can do with basic tools in your garage. Watch after the how to for a comparison of the axles and wheel bearings.

Would the axle stub to the axle flange cause any problems in the future because of the difference in thickness. Im about to install a used diff but the stubs are thinner than my old previous one.

Can I just do one side on automatic diff ? I have to save up for the other side another time ,,my right wheel bearing is shot right now so I just to have to focus on dat Side

You could technically yes. I would do both at once but thats my recommendation.

What was the 6 bolts for the axel torque spec??

Factory spec is 63-79 so I just did 70

Autozone Gold Axles. I used them for the lifetime warranty and exchange.

Is this something i should take to a mechanic 😭 my kit just came in today and i want to do it but i dont want to get stuck in my driveway without axles in my car. Is the main difficulty here just whether the bolts are seized or not?

Getting everything loose will be the hardest part, especially the wheel bearings.

@@Mylifeinthepits sorry, more noob questions incoming - the amazon link is for 40mm bolts, but it's recommend to go down to a 35mm to avoid potential clearance issues, correct? Also, do the axle nuts that come with the Z1 kit match these bolts?

As far as I know. I've never heard of anybody having fitment issues like that.

Thanks for the info man. Is the 370z axle longer than the 350z? I have a 350z diff in my s14 and both axles require some compression of the axle to fit. If the 370z axle is longer, then It might not work for my setup

Same length as far as I know. I didnt have to compress anything

Interestingly enough I'm currently doing the 350/370 diff conversion on my S14. Unfortunately, the axles I got (from a G37) are too long. The protrude past the hub bore but this video gave me hope that I might be able to make this all work with 370 axles.

@@streamlineperformancevideo1926if you are chucking 370z axles you need to buy Nissan skyline GTR rear hubs since the 370z hub won’t bolt onto s14 knuckles

No issues so far. I know a few guys in Formula Drift used to run these axles in 240s with LS swaps. That's how I found out about them.

It should on the rear axles. If it uses the same axles as a 350z it should.

I wonder if those assholes gave you any vibration after that because I did the same thing and I had bad vibrations took out the axles change him back to stock vibration was gone after that

I havent driven it wide open yet, still waiting to take it to my tuner, but I've driven it around the neighborhood with no issues.
