this movie truly begs the question "are the straights okay?"

I honestly thought this movie was so disrespectful to women at the fact that it is supposed to represent what women want. No, we don’t want Stockholm syndrome.

I just pretend that Laura met Mossimo online in a BDSM chat room and they planned this out a year in advance as part of an elaborate fantasy/excuse for Laura to leave her loser boyfriend and everything is cool and consensual and fresh. It was the only way I could get through the movie.

It's been a while since we've had a film that shows the sexy side of human trafficking 😅😂😂😂 you are golden

I wanna see a remake of this film that entirely subverts everything. She tricks him into thinking that she's actually falling in love with him, and at the end she brutally murders him, giving this sick kidnapping abuser the fate he deserves. A painful Death. And to add too the tension, she has to lie, steal, hide, run and sneak around to aid her escape, all whilst trying to avoid going into cardiac arrest due to her "Weak Heart". Boom! I fixed the film!

As a trafficking survivor, movies like this not only make me incredibly mad, but also just makes me feel really hopeless 😒 I don't know if most people are just totally unaware how common trafficking is or what, but it's a major issue and it hurts people find trauma to be a sexy plot device. At least we get a funny video from you out of it though, I do really enjoy them and it's nice to see movies like this ragged on.

hello, as a polish woman i would like to give some input. we dont find it sexy or a turn on when horrible, traumatising things happen to us but our oppressive, patriarchal government think we love being abused and that we lOoOooooove having no rights. this movie may have been made for women, but its definitely a fantasy of a man.

Of all the upsetting things in this movie, the choice to have Massimo use "baby girl" as his term of endearment is the most upsetting. SIR, YOU SPEAK ITALIAN, ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD.

Literally the only reason this movie is loved by so many is because of the "hot" actor playing Massimo, if Massimo was old, fat or ugly we'd be getting just another thriller/horror movie. Some fun facts: - Laura's is the author's (Blanka Lipinska) self-insert in the books (as well as in the movie), the whole hair change happens so Laura would look just like her. Blanka was even in the movie, the woman that gets married & Laura goes to her wedding. - In the books Massimo hates tattoos & says they're only for convicts (Laura adores them when it comes to her men), they clearly tried to win over the female audience even more by casting an actor covered in tattoos. - Laura faints probably over 20 times just in the first book, all because Blanka didn't have an idea how else to end scenes & teleport her heroine places, Laura's weak heart doesn't really bring anything to the story. - The books are even worse than the movie, the most boring mafia romance to ever exist. Not to mention how many times Blanka tries to pass r*pe as romantic, consensual s*x. - The actor that played Massimo also wrote & sang the songs from the soundtrack. :D Loved your video on the movie! The real horror is they plan on making 2 more movies. :x

The scene that disturbed me the most was the scene on the plane where the stewardess was giving him oral. It was really aggressive and she had tears in her eyes, and it was supposed to be portrayed as sexy. But everything about it was violent. And that’s when I knew this movie would be garbage.

As a polish person i'm really REALLY sorry about that this... this thing even exist. In Poland we also dislike this movie/book and we don't want to be associated with it. There are a waaaaay better polish books and movies! Also author of "365 dni" is very problematic and we don't clam her.

God why do heterosexuals have weird romance stories

Would have even liked if instead she fell for a body guard who is trying to help her escape, while also keeping them both alive since Massimo' family has such deep roots wherever they are.

I kind of want to see a parody of these types of romance films in which the kidnapper keeps trying to prove how bad he is while the girl is still treating this as a romantic fantasy because she's watched one too many of these movies. She keeps flirting with the kidnapper, who is weirded out that his serious kidnapping isn't being taken seriously.

The only reason this movie did not cause a huge controversy is because he’s hot. Put fucking idk john malkovich as Massimo and everyone would be pissed. This has probably been said before, but if Massimo was unattractive, this would be a horror movie/Criminal Minds episode. Also, I want to add a warning to anyone who wants to watch this movie for the 'so bad it's good' factor: if you have been through any sort of abusive relationship, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! I know the term 'triggering' has been thrown around a lot and lost its meaning, but there's really not a better way to describe it. Stick to the RU-vid reviews and then watch The Room or Troll 2 (the 1980s movie, not the recent one that's actually about trolls). You'll have a much better time.

This movie shows exactly what happens when you move a fantasy situation into the real world. Keep your ‘kidnapped by a hot criminal’ fanfics fantasies in your head people cos when you put it on the big screen it really highlights how yucky the whole thing is.

I have passed on so many of these 365 Days reviews because after I saw one (weeks ago) I was like “Okay, I don’t think anyone can really tell me anything new about it.” BUT YOU- you have proven to me that you have such great insight into movie making that I knew a 45 minute video from you is going to bring more to the table!!!! :) so glad I subbed!

I remember when 356 Days was just an innocent love song in Victorious. This movie low-key ruined the title lmao.

The haircut thing initially made me think they were going to go an ACTUAL interesting direction with this, aka, when Massimo sees that she changed her appearance, any and all “nice guy” facade is totally dropped because suddenly, he’s forced to recognize her as an individual person with her own complex inner life and own agency. He’s obsessed with this very particular vision of a woman from his cracked out deathbed hallucinations and suddenly she doesn’t look like that vision anymore and the illusion is totally shattered. And for Laura, anything she might have latched on to as a sign he genuinely loved her is suddenly exposed for all it ever was- a dangerous obsession with a fantasy that he projected onto her because of how she looks. Nothing more, nothing less. I think that would have been a powerful and sobering moment, ESPECIALLY if the red flags were more subtle from the beginning. What if he had been NOTHING but gentle, respectful, and charming from the start? What if he passed off the kidnapping thing as something his family forced him to do for [insert bullshit reason] but he’s really on HER side, he’s going to make the best of this bad situation for her, he’s going to be her champion throughout this? So she’s skeptical at first, but like so many of us have been, she’s eventually worn down and drawn in by the love bombing and the sweet, genuine guy he’s flawlessly pretending to be. Then in the haircut moment, when he reveals his violent and controlling and self-serving nature, she’d be heartbroken and overwhelmed and confused (ya know, like actual abuse victims are in real life?), and the portraits he had done of this “vision woman” could be revealed for the first time in this shocking moment that introduces a horror element, and we as the audience can actually be invested in the whole thing because just like Laura, despite the initial uneasiness, we were kind of taken in by this guy? That would have been a powerful illustration of how people get sucked into patterns of abuse, especially for someone who had never experienced it. It could have shed light on the plight of victims stuck in domestic violence situations and helped foster empathy for victims who have great difficulty leaving. The final act of Laura finally trying to escape the complex would have been an excellent metaphor for trying to escape abusive relationships in the real world. But no. Instead we got “ok but what if sex slavery was hot and glamorous” 😑

Generally when Laura changed her haircut it's because after that, she was similar to the author of book and the whole story, and all that idea was her own fantasy, she (author) openly said that for her every women have fantasies about being rap*ed in some way :|

As a Polish person I have to say: 1. this book and movie are the worst thing that could have happened to our literature and cinematography. The author wrote a totally bullshit Grey ripoff and in all of her interviews she claims that her work is not harmful and even empowering (bleh). Luckily, many people in Poland saw how bad it was and hated the author (she and her works became a meme basically) 2. The only history we have with Italians dates back to either the XVI century, when Bona Sforza was married to the king of Poland... then Polish soldiers joined the Italian military after Poland has been occupied and stopped existing in 1795. So... there’s nothing special about Polish-Italian history except some veeeery old history and maybe pope John Paul II
