I was about to spend $350 for a class awhile back. Watching your videos has provided me with so much information and courage to take the time to learn myself and perfect my craft. I know patience is key and over time I will have mastered all types of braiding styles. Thank you 💕
See this is how you are bless. Not being selfish to hold a God given talent and blessing another with that knowledge. May you continue to share. So my edges are not very full. I am working on regrowing them. Would love a video on tips for those of us braiding with a thinner nape or frontal hair line.
Thank you for your video. Just started learning how to cornrow and add hair. I find the second method works best for me. But will learning different technique be helpful?
I swear your channel, is a lifesaver I've been trying..to get my hair braided business started & running up I'm teaching myself new ways to learn how to braded Again.
I just ordered a mannequin off amazon! I can't wait to start practicing. I really want to cornrow my own natural hair and your explanations are so good. Thank you!
Just ran across this video by accident - I loved it!! Simple and easy; did know there were 4 ways to braid; some videos are long and drawn out, 🤦🏽♀️, this one was just right
Thank you for this refresher! I used to do these cornrows all the time but when the feed-in methods hit the scene I totally forgot about the basics and continued to box braid Only😫 Now I can add a little flavor to my protective styles. You’re a true blessing❤️ Thank you🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for the step by step process on how to do braids. I did my own box braids for the first time without rubber bands and it came out FANTASTIC! AND ITS ALL THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR EASY STEPS. I WILL ALWAYS FALLOW YOU PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO THE STEP BY STEP VIDEOS.
That’s so amazing ❤️ I sell Raw hair to ladies everyday , and they always ask me to recommend a good stylist , I would share your videos to my customers!
OMG 😱!!!! You are a lifesaver. The weather is getting warmer here in Georgia and I dreaded DIY box braids. I wanted to do something quick and changeable. Your tutorial is the best. I can't wait to get started. ☺️👍🏾
New subscriber on DECK...... I'm a braider but I don't know how to add hair so I'm actually using my real hair and just practicing just one section only .... I'm doing all the examples on myself 🤝
Thank you for making these videos! I'm going to learn how to cornrow if it kills me 😁. I just want two cornrow braids, that's it! I try all the time and it comes out a hot mess🤷🏾♀️
Hi after you divided the feedin into thirds, which piece of hair did you connect 1st the smaller piece or the bigger one? That's the one thing I have trouble grasping.
Great teaching! Can you please tell me which manican you purchased exactly? The one we have doesn't allow for clean parts so I want to get the exact one you are using since it allows for clean parts. I opened up your amazon Braid Class link and I see 4 different manicans (1 of which we already have). Thanks in advance for your help! :)
I'm a former cosmetologist wanting to get back in the trade. I'm preparing to take the state board to reinstate my license. I took a break to be in the Navy. It's been years ago but as long as I'm breathing I have time to learn new skills. I remember back in the 80s when I was in cosmetology school I started practicing braiding on my mannequin until the instructor told me to stop because "there's no money in braiding " and because I wanted to pass I did what I was told. I was in a mostly white community and the school was mostly white. I really didn't learn anything but white hair and styles. It was assumed because I am white that I should focus only on my own type of hair care. I have always felt cheated. I understand that hair is hair. There are different textures even among people of the same racial and ethnic backgrounds. No two heads are the same. There are common traits that groups of people share, but everyone is an individual. I want to learn about hair textures other than my own. I want to be able to provide a service to anyone who sits in my chair. I am culturally aware that I won't know everything but I should know the basics. Braids are beautiful when done right. I'm good at using my hands. I can crochet, knit, embroider, macrame, and even tie friendship bracelets. I have a lot of dexterity in my fingers so I'm sure I can learn braiding if I put my mind to it. I'm curious about hair products like lotions, oils, gels, and conditioners that are used in braiding. The technical stuff will come with practice. I kno that different products are out there and all have different results. I have natural curly hair and sometimes buy African American products for my hair to keep my curls soft and shiny. I usually use light oils and leave in conditioner. What types of products work best for braiding? What advice would you give a white stylist who is sincerely interested in providing basic services for African American clients. I know that realistically I probably won't have the opportunity to provide a lot of black or textured hair services. I do believe that I have the obligation to at least know about basic hair care for other hair textures. All cosmetologist should be educated enough to care for any client asking for a service. It's more than black and white. There are other hair textures in different groups of people.
for eczema, I always used only Aveeno baby head-to-toe body wash & shampoo (blue cap), the original Irish spring soap bars (not the liquid, it was too strong), and the Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion or Cetaphil's lotion.
Hi Vandy!!! I had ordered this mannequin head from your link awhile ago and I omg u love it!! It helps so much I was just using it and I was waiting for just this video! Thank you💖💖
Hello. Love your videos. I have a question for women with wavy, fine hair (type 3 to 3A hair type) to feed in pre-looped crochet braids, about 1.5 cm in thickness. Would it be best to use the third row of your technique for that specific type of hair?
Im use to seeing the last method i dont no there was other methods .i can do the last method. but i cant do it cos i dont no how much hair to add and when to stop adding hair.it becomes one big headache
I have a question. I know that cornrows and box braids are a part of black culture. Am I being racist or insensitive for wanting this hairstyle if I am not black? Please be truthful I need to know because I have always admired braids but I do not want to cause any problems. Is it ok?
Thank you for the tutorial. I moved to Tampa Florida and have been practicing on a mannequin is anyone available to be my first human head. Box braids, knotless braids and twists. Thank you 😊
