For all families, friends, and relatives that were unable to make it to Taunton on the day. And for those that didn't make it home, we will always remember, and we will never forget.
Retired US Navy Hospital Corpsman who served many years as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman with our Marines. Noticed at the end of the Dress Blues platoon a US sailor in Dress Blues marching in the same spot that I marched in when I was on parade with our Marines. Jealous, would of loved to be him.
Royal Marines 'units' are arranged into 6 Companies of approx 100 personnel. In this video you saw the band followed by the 'Colour Party' and the Commanding Officer. Next came one of the Companies in 'Blues', consisting of Marines, Junior NCOs, Senior NCOs a Warrant Officer and Officers. The Officers were carrying swords. They were followed by the other Companies wearing combat dress. There were also several non Royal Marines who were attached to 40 and are wearing their own uniform.
Gonna get the application process started in a couple months, go to college, work on my fitness, and hopefully be one of the best soldiers this world has given birth to!
@rm1664crash That's my point, someone below said the SBS were Royal marines, I was mearly correcting them saying they go through special forces selection but SBS have to do more training.
Sorry was having an argument on another video so alittle bit worked up. The SAS & SBS (Royal Marines Commandos) are they best special forces in the world. The Royal Marines are the best Marines in the world, the UK armed forces are well respected by other countries goverments. The UK forces main role is peace keeping
@boybettaknowspecial hahah nice spot ;) however it's not a beige beret as they would not be allowed on the same squadron as these guys, nor would he be allowed to parade.
The ones in the dress uniform are officers or generally high ranked marines. The ones in camo are just the general grunts. Not that I'd ever call one a grunt to his face though. He'd probably punch me so hard that I'd technically of never existed.
im the one that should be saying sorry because of this stupid conversation, becau se ur right! i tought that u were saying that the royal marines are the best troops in overall im sorry again they are the best marine special forces
Just so everyone is clear, SAS & SBS are uksf and are the best in the world, they taught delta force & navy seals so ussf and uksf cannot be compared. Royal Marines are the best none special force fighting force in the world.
im not saying that their not good , because they are, im just saying that there's other troops ( especial forces ) that are better. im not american , im portuguese but still the delta force are one of the best like the royal marines, so chill out dude
@aww hell no the ones that are in black dress are the guard of honour their role in this parade is to guard the colour of the corps you might call it a flag the ones in the camo are just on parade and don't have a particuler role
Yeah, I know that ,I was jsut wondering about the uniforms since they looked so similar, but apparently the RM's uniforms are inspired by the USMC uniform. At least thats what TheShadowWOlf731 says.
