Welcome to the Young Meditator's Club! It's great to have you here. In this guided meditation, we'll go over how to relax the body, breath, and mind to allow us to calm the mind and gently release stress so that we may feel deep relief. This type of meditation is called yoga nidra, which is "yogic sleep." Try your best to stay still like a statue while lying down on your back, but don't fall asleep, okay? Great! :)
This meditation is great for teenagers, but it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Yoga nidra is perfect to help you relax, let go of stress, and make normal sleep deeper and more restful. Simply follow along as best as you can, and your body and mind will do the rest. See if you can do this whole meditation without falling asleep, though. You will be a superstar if you do. ;)
By the way, the meditation in this video is based on the Integrative Amrit (I AM) Method of Yoga Nidra, developed by Gurudev Amrit Desai of The Amrit Institute, which focuses on the energy body, and as such, it is possible to go into deep states of meditation in a relatively short amount of time compared to other types of meditation.
