Good explanation Sir, I think it is different levels to this. If the 2 parties can't come to an common agreement, then I would make Ayiuk play on his 5th yr option or trade him for a higher 1st rd and maybe a 4th rd pick as well. We need to draft OL for sure!
I applaud your optimism, David. Imo, anybody that is able and willing to accept what you have to say on this subject already has. The vast majority of the people you are talking about and to have repeatedly refused to look at facts and listen to reason. They have made the decision to push their own narratives and takes on a situation that can be rationally explained by looking at the data.
Spring time is the best time of the year in California. The green is still there around the state. It hasn't turned golden color yet. Temperatures are very good over much of the state. Something about getting out of the winter cold and into spring temperatures makes it feel so special to get out.
If Shanahan would focus on someone...anyone...other that McCaffrey (nothing whatsoever against CMC) I think Aiyuk would have numbers that would justify top 5 WR money. As good as the current 49er team is, it is in rebuilding mode because of salary cap issues and age of key players, which is why 49er fans need to come to grips with having to lose Aiyuk and possibly even Samuels. This is the draft to do it. And in when in rebuilding mode and having a deep draft, the way to do it is by trading down with both the Aiyuk and Samuels late number one picks, to give the 49ers two additional twos and threes, giving them the following picks 1,2,2,2,3,3,3,4,4,4,5,6,6,7. And based upon team needs and the talent in this draft, I would choose the following by position. 1. DT/Edge 2. LB/Edge 2. WR 2. OT 3. WR 3. C 3. TE 4. CB 4. WR 4. DT/EDGE 5. S 6. QB 6. RB 7 LB.

There is a lot of phony money in the NFL,Still of the opinion if the 49ers get offered a high first round pick for BA they should take it, and draft Marvin Harrison Jr or one of the top 2 OT. 49ers are getting very expensive and they do keep pushing money down the road which is not always a. good idea.
I’d be astounded if SF got offered a pick high enough (top 4 or 5) to draft Harrison Jr. If so, sure, listen to what they have to say. But aside from that, BA isn’t getting traded. He’ll be extended, and should.

Agreed. However, the issue the 49ers are facing right now, is the price of drafting successfully, and establishing a winning culture. The team is a perennial success, and players like that culture. Similar issue to the 49ers of the 80's. Had to cut bait with Lott, Craig, and Haley, due to a glut of talent

Niners seems to make use of practice squad /53 to put vets to fill injuries. Niners been lucky. But still had 2 SB losses to the same team. Both tinkered with rosters n schemes. What's can be fixed or changed. DC is new. Many new players on defense. Less changes on offense. Can any rookie crack the 53? Kyle seems to favor vets. Niners need to play backups more, keep starters fresh. Give backups experience n use their potential, find out if their potential is worth developing. Chiefs trade up to pick a speedy WR, the counter to that was not a better O-line or D-line or a cover CB. It was a slot WR? Worse? traded pick to the Chiefs, which they used to upgrade their OT. WtF? They might be playong the Chiefs again, Niners help them? Hope, this draft works out. Niners were luck with Brock. But the Trey trade up / draft will stand as the worse decision. Franchise tag if needed, once Deebo is gone after this season, if he sucks and BA does well this season then decide to sign BA to a new contract, until then no point giving BA a new contract UNTIL AFTER THIS SEASON.
I don't get butthurt either way. If we lose Aiyuk, then we get a lot back for him. And if he stays then that's even better. I ain't tripping either way. Yes I would love to keep him, but not at the cost of the rest of the team. Also, Amon-Ra St. Brown is not as good as Aiyuk, not even close.
Is BA really better than AJ Brown? Debatable, like I said best not to sign him to a new contract until after this season to see how well both him and Deebo perform this coming season would be the best move for the 9ers as a team.

My original point wasnt about apy at all. it was about the difference between a 4 year compensation of 120 mil vs a compensation of 4 years at about 105 mil. And that amount should Not stop you from signing a star player. One question to clear things up for me. If he completes his 4 yr contract will he be compensated right around 120 million or right around 105 million?. Not counting any restructuring because that can change the perceived time line.
