Aiyuk needs to stay he's absolutely pertinent to the development of Brock especially as they have a great deep ball connection already. Juan has earned his money certainly after the Super Bowl I don't wanna see Deebo go but it might have to be the case
@@TW-hb2cr I love Cowing and he’s a great blocker for his size and he brings a speed element to threaten defenses deep as well as YAC ability with enough targets he could be 1000 yard wr in this offense.
He's A Taylor Gabriel Weapon For Kyle, He Loves His Toys Even Though He Doesn't Use Them All To Their Full Capacity. Hopefully He's Grown Up.. Fingers Crossed 🤞🏽
All I heard is that one of them is being moved. If they do not resign BA this offseason, they will have him and Deebos teaming for a new deal next year. They won’t want pay both the amount they would request, so one is being dealt this offseason. If not, they risk losing one for nothing.
@@DaddyWolffeI'm not sure since he's already been paid so little. I think he'll probably want as much as possible and let his agent handle the contract stuff.
I'd bet they trade Deebo post June 1 for a 3rd and 4th round pick. Then use some of that savings to sign Juaun Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk to multiyear deals. They'll use a combo of Pearsall, Cowing, Conley or Trent Taylor to replace Deebo's touches.
Uh ... IF Samuel was traded AFTER June 1st, the salary cap savings THIS YEAR would be $22 million ... which is rollable to 2025. Obviously that helps with the Purdy extension situation and/or makes it possible to sign a free agent like S Justin Simmons. Further, Samuel would likely bring a 2025 round 1-2 pick in trade ... allowing moving up in the first round for an OT.
I wonder if you could do a Watson type deal where the first year was 1 million and then all the money kicked in after that, all guaranteed. That should give 2 years to go all in with salary cap gymnastics.
Pearsall is a very good WR! I’ve watched him for 3yrs at Florida and he improved every year and has consistently been one of if not the hardest working player on the team! Showed up early everyday and stayed late everyday! Literally stayed after practice every day and would catch extra jugs passes to work on his hands!! The man is going to be a solid NFL WR!!
You can afford all of 'em now but IF Pearsall and/or Cowings develop well maybe we move Deebo after June 1st and get to the next phase of this offense's evolution. I found the draft fairly interesting and it could signal a philosophical change to make the offense more wide open and trust Brock more (good thing)! It seemed like we were doing this at the beginning of this regime but things got derailed because Jimmy G was so limited and unwilling to improve as a QB (see Pettis pick in '18). Brock can actually read and process defenses (and willing to throw to areas of the field that Jimmy wouldn't. Let's get it
all contracts should have a base level of play and then everything else is performance based....So many players are somehow great the year before their contract is due, then they sign for a ton of cash and production falls off. Deebo is a great example.
I think they'll try and trade him after June 1. If they trade him before that it won't really help them much with the cap this year (dead cap $21.8M and save $6.8M), after 6/1 it makes a big difference- DC $6.7M this year and $15.5 next year with a 2024 savings of $22M. I won't be surprised to see Deebo go after June 1.
The 49ers have wrs on the team they like and also like wr in the draft and on all 31 other teams too but want to keep them on the team this year, but if someone comes and offers the farm they are willing to trade one off them. They also have a very experienced waterboy and if the price is right will move off him too= word salad (schefter)
I’m convinced the 49ers are planning on letting BA walk at the end of this season so he’ll play his best due to being a contract year. He’s a top 5 WR by far, but as a pure wide receiver that can block, that skill set isn’t super rare. I think WR is the new RB and their devaluation is happening now. DS is a Swiss Army Knife that only the 49ers know how to use properly, making him more valuable for the Niners than for any other team. Heading into this season I expected the 49ers to trade DS to fleece another team for great picks where he won’t be a good fit for them. That didn’t happen, so had to reevaluate. Obviously just an armchair fan on the outside trying to look into one way mirrors.
The 'more weapons the better' is a false belief. The 49ers, under Walsh never had three 'great' WRs, a great TE and a great RB and a great FB. It did have a frantastic OFFENSIVE LINE, GREAT SECONDARY, very good d-line, above-average linebackers and a great QB. But Walsh knew how to build a team. Even when Montana was hurt and guys like Matt Cavanaugh and Jeff Kemp were running the 49ers, they still won. Shanahan is no Walsh and Lynch is Matt Millen -- drafts very badly, doesn't build team from the lines-out and relies on FAs to hide his mistakes in team building.
I would trade deebo he is a good play but ever since he got his money he tends to be hurt more easily. Of course he plays hard but with all the hits we gets his career can be short .
Not to mention Danny grey has been a bust so far. so All this is just fluffy, nothin serious. Its not like this is the first time there is bumping heads for a contract. every super star bumps heads during this time .
I know content is content but damn lol Adam keeps proving he doesn’t know shit about what’s going on and knows as much as a guy walking down the street.
Who in the organization is talking to this 🤡? Niners are extremely tight lipped on what they are thinking. Debo is not on the table in 2024 . Maybe next year when his dead cap hit isn’t so large. If anyone is going it’s BA but what godfather offer is coming out of the woodworks now that the draft has come and gone . Maybe John and Kyle are thinking their WR room is extremely top heavy and they want to replace their WR4 and WR5 slots with greater talent that they can use more and with better production then they get from their #4 and #5 guys. Now if Debo or one of the pieces goes down, maybe the system won’t crash like it did on that 3 game slide. No offense to Conley and Bell but greater talent would have been able to step up in that situation. Pearsol is a guy like that and so is cowing. Lots of position groups are going to be battling hard to make the 53 man roster this year . Better get your popcorn ready!!!
@@kenw2225 it's better in the long run and deebo might be gone after next year I just hope Brock don't ask for to much so he can keep this team together
Aiyuk or Deebo? I think that the times should not worry San Fco, both are under contract and even to commit them to a longer period of time. I am not one of those who supports a player who demands a contract as if he were a top 5 player and he really is not. They criticize Deebo for his little production in the Superbol, haha, and Aiyuc had a lot? In that case, criticize Shanahan for not including them in more plays or Purdy for the poor executions he had. Deebo is influential, the other is opaque in character, and at BEST they don't even talk about JENNINGS to whom they offer a miserable contract in relation to the other 2 players and this boy if he is a true 49ers. Look at him, in the little that they use him (like the firefighters) he always delivers, he also blocks excellently and if you hurry me he could serve as a tight end, he has all the characteristics to be Kittle's heir. If Purdy had anticipated the entry of the one he knew was the player capable of putting pressure on him, Jennings was alone and we would have won and Jennings would have been the most valuable player.
