Not looking for sympathy lol but I appreciate it. I especially wanted to encourage you to continue that as long as you can with your kid. Id give anything to have had that with my dad
This man has helped get my basic down, and when I went to the first boxing class they moved me to the intermediates immediately. I'm really glad I took the time to watch these first only took a cpl weeks at home.
I got put in an adult class cuz of my anger issues and I watched his video s along with training and after a few weeks once they got me all sorted out I got put in an advanced class which I figure is a combo of both his vids and training. Love this dude u will see results 🌯🌯🌯
I like this guy. Pj has awesome energy and very warm aura to him. Great trainer. His was the first video I did at home and I instantly subbed. Keep it up PJ. You're making a difference
Boxed for years, I will watch anyone talk about boxing and have seen all sorts on youtube. This is one of the most streamlined videos in terms content, perfectly done

I think for the Challenge Combo would be better as 1-2-2-3-2-1-2-3-4-3-2-1-2-3-2 because the 5 is very likely to get countered it is good with enough practice tho very helpful video much appreciated 🙏🏾
I considered 1st combination as just a most common combinations..!!!! EVEN a NON-BOXER..a normal human being use it and says it just Right punch followed by left punch...😅 Well...jokes aside...It was a great video. Well Explained and demonstrated combos.
My mans no disrespect. But when you throw that 3, point your lead foot toe down to the floor. The natural torque from that action will shorten your hook and give it snap an same time hide ya chin in ya shoulder.Right now your throwing it like an arm punch and leaving your chamber open for counter right hands.Perfect way to practice it is get a broom stick or any long stick.Place it on your shoulders and drape your arms over it.And just pivot side to side alternating front toe engagement. It gives the natural alignment for a hook.Your 1 or the jab.Lift your rear heel and push OFF when snapping the jab. That gives speed and mobility allowing you naturally to stay engaged on your toes.Even in your basic stance always keep that rear heel off the floor! Love your effort in teaching the sweetness i lived my whole life. From 132 to 147 i was blessed to learn an fight from some of of the greatest friends a man could know.Ray Mercer,Al Coles, Sean Brown,My good friend Bryan Brannon,Late great Pernell Whittaker, Terrance Heat Cauthen,Mike Covington to name a few.Salute N.J. Keep grinding my guy!!!
Nice fundamentals. Unfortunately for me my weakness is throwing from hips and foot work. I notice you had great hip movement but didnt move your feet while combos. Is that normal for you?
Awesome job!!! Love the “keeping it simple” method. So many videos out there showing multiple 5 and 6 punch combos. Just too much for the average Joe. Pun intended
All schoolboys should be taught to box with boxing a compulsory but hopefully enjoyable subject from say ten through 18. This would be a great starting point.
Hey coach. I don't have any equipment at home, so lately ive been using a back full of book and a tactical vest filled with a bunch of stuff when I do my exercices. Do you think using them while shadow boxing would be an effective way to train muscles and make punches faster and stronger?
Shadow boxing would be better for trying out combos and seeing its weaknesses, especially infront of a mirror, but if you wanna train your power try out breaking it will give you a goal for power that you can aim for, maybe something like a cooking board or some sturdy wood or alternatively you can punch your walls until your fists dont hurt and your confident in punching walls
Try doiNg different types of pushups, helps with explosive power bro 👌, try using water bottles in your hands while shadow boxing and then move onto water or milk jugs and eventually try to get some 5 or at least 10 pound hand weights or weight hand straps 👌
Just tried these combos and damn near flipped my heavy bag rack. Solid stuff. I’m training to be a switch boxer (I’m ambidextrous) so I’ll use your combos and flip em for south paw. They’re solid fundamentals no BS exactly what I was looking for. Any advice for throwing uppercuts into a heavy bag? It’s the only punch that strains my wrist.
I think I read somewhere that you have to stand close to the bag and aim it like you would a low blow, try it lightly and see if it that’s, I don’t want to be that guy that gives you bad advice
Great stuff except you forgot the 6 rear uppercut . . That should be drilled frist before learning the 5 lead uppercut , just as the lead hook 3 is learnt before focusing on the 4 rear hand hook 3 6 . 3 6 3 3632 combo are beautiful get out of jail free cards :) The rear uppercut is a beast
Just a criticism, it looks like you are training people to use boxing as cardio boxing but to be actual fighters. As such you should be clear about that lest people walk away thinking it is real boxing they can use to defend themselves. The fear of course is that it goves boxing a bad reputation for being ineffective as self defense.
