Anatomy sure is interesting. Most people would assume that bodybuilders with bulky legs are really strong. But when you ask them to do side lying leg raises or standing straight leg raises, you'll notice their weaknesses. Either lack of strength from ignoring these muscles, lack of mobility, or both and a whole hoist of issues. You folks with slim athletic legs are really strong not just on squats and lunges, which are typical leg exercises, but also hip movements. We need to work more than just squats and lunges, regardless wether we dance or not. You two are very dedicated and train every muscle without ignoring any. You two have proved many people wrong. Thank you for sharing.....can you tell me why some Barre exercises when you lift yr leg they say point yr knee towards the ceiling so you have a hip rotational?

In ballet exercises we are working in turnout so the hip externally rotated. The knee will follow the line of the hip.
