5 reasons I'm selling the civic
these reasons may not be deal breakers for others in the world but for me they were. I purchased my Honda because I wanted reliability and long lasting ownership. But never knowing when a big expense like replacing the AC system is going to hit me, makes me worried. with so many issues under 70k miles. I decided to sell for a great offer!

Sweet! Usually the first few years are the problem years! By the 5th year they have all the issues down.

That sucks. I have the 2016 EX-L 1.5 Turbo I bought brand new and haven't had a single problem. It's still very fun to drive and I drive it pretty hard sometimes!

Always have problems with my A/C and the dealership fixed it for free the first time.... come back again to this summer I have another A/C problem. Also, having that cupping issue that you're having lol. Can't wait to get rid of my 2018 Honda Civic!

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. And yes I agree. I got rid of mine before the ac went out again!

Wow... I soured on Honda with my 2007 Civic. Same little things like this that annoyed me....

Yes! They are very good cars but they are not as reliable as people make them out to be. Many issues with head gaskets and ac systems.

@@HandsOnDismantler The newer Civics should be better, since I believe they're made in Japan. I've dealt with all the issues you've been having as well with my 2017 Sport Hatch. It's a real bummer =(

I got that A/C problem and at dealer charge me 1 400.00 for the compressor and even with "new" compressor it blows cool air not cold.

It wasn’t under warranty? Most independent shops would charge around 1200 in my area so that’s not unreasonable for a dealer to charge that much. BUT!!!!! this needs to be a recall

Are you doing payments on or you own it? I got a civic 2018 lx & if my a/c fails I might just sell it, just wondering if I can if I’m doing payments 🤔🤔

You can always sell your car regardless if you own it or are still making payments. If you still have a loan on the vehicle there are a few more steps in order to fulfill the loan your car has before you can sell it. (Ex. If you owe $15,000, and you sell it for $16000. You would only get $1000. Your bank would take the 15.
