Signs I have found when a guy wants a relationship: - He will take you out all the time (not just to his place) - He will make time for you - He will introduce you to all of his closest friends (and even better - family) - He will show you off in public - He will eventually bring the subject up with you! (although it could be a while but it will happen)

Omygosh...he practically purposed within 3 months....it was adorable. He was so committed. The other day I said, well I am not sure what to do with my lil dog she's so old and moving to Canada will be a long trip. Maybe I find her a new Mama." He said, " No way, she's a part of our little family she's coming too." He melted my heart by saying this. It really showed how he accepted what is close to me and loves what I love. He is truly committed. Hello Canada and new love life.

I agree with all of these points except immediacy. I’m in the healthiest relationship of my life and a BIG part of the reason why is because it has grown slooowly, with intention, with maturity. A lot of times I think immediacy leads to a runway to the bedroom, but if you both are in it for the long term, then you have time to get to know each other and go into it thoughtfully without getting too swept up in emotion/infatuation (yet retaining all the butterflies and goosebumps). ;) So I think maintaining some independence, not oversharing (on social media), and not doing anything too soon is healthy. Matt, I love your videos! You seem like a real sweetheart, too!

Chelsa Brinkman I agree that immediacy is not always a safe element to the development of a longterm relationship. Narcissistic love interests can use immediacy to trap a victim into an abusive relationship. Therefore, we ought to learn to spot the signs of an emotionally diseased individual.

I think those are true-- though, unfortunately, they are also used by super controlling guys who try to rush you down the aisle before you realize how problematic and insane they are. I met one recently, and despite the fact that he was super attractive and successful, I thought it was a red flag how much "immediacy" he put on our relationship, and I bailed. My spidey senses told me that he was going to end up being a controlling and jealous type. Its definitely a balance!

When he wants to make you laugh all the time and starts doing a lot of things for you - like pumping gas to your car, going with you to buy a car and getting super intense with the negotiations, buying you meals and not wanting you to pay, talking about how he can do manly things (he can change his own tires lol), going the extra mile to pleasure you in bed and being a gentleman

I can finally say that I have found a man like that. The way he’s shown me he wants to commit is he has talked to his family about me and they know who I am before having even met me. He was in a long-term relationship that ended badly a couple of years ago, so I know that being this committed to me is a big deal.

New Worldorder I think it’s happening to me. He’s so proud to show me in front of everyone (parents, friends). He wants to spend New Years with me and it started 3 weeks ago. Now he’s ghosting me. Wtf. He also told me to go to my country to visit my parents and Wants to buy tickets to Alice in chains concert that’s on March, a day after my bday. He wants me to go to his flat warming party where only his men friends are going to attend. And also wants to go camping with me during the summer. But after this weekend getaway where we talked about all these things, and on the way home, not earlier, he started avoiding me. Like slowering the intensity of the texting... the only initiation I had was sending him a joke through FB that we talked about all weekend. And he answered with a laugh and a very cold answer. I mean, not like I’ve been chasing him or suffocating him with messages and phone calls. Since it’s too early maybe I have to wait for one more date and then discuss it or is it better if I set my grounds now and call him to ask him if this is how’s gonna be? Dunno

@@bigsistahtips That invitation to a party with only men in a private space is suspicious and very, very creepy...don't do that b/c you just met him and you don't know him. He could be ghosting you after he fed you ''all the things you want to hear'' to make you chase him now, chase that ''perfect dream'' and make you do things you don't want to do, you wouldn't normally do...like in an apartment full of men...don't mean to be super paranoid or creep you out, but as you've realised his behaviour is suspicious and better safe than sorry.

Voicu Violeta nah, it was a barbecue and his father was invited too. I’m still on a weird situation. I went and there we were only him, his father and me. Nobody showed up. And he told me is the 2nd time it happened. He throws a barbecue and nobody shows up. I tried to talk to him about it but he was too proud saying that he was getting used to it and that he didn’t care. But he was cool with me, though. Now we’re spending Christmas and New Years together at his family’s beach house, but still this cold treatment during the week... my male friends tell me that he’s now too embarrassed and that I should wait for the trip to sort things out. My girl friends say that I shouldn’t say anything and enjoy the trip, but I like him and I want to know if we’re gonna move forward or not. So I’ll see during this long trip how everything flows...

This is very accurate. My man also starts with the hypothetical questions, like "if we had kids, how would you handle xyz". "If we were married would you want this, that n the other." At first these questions freaked me out then I realized he is trying to see if my values mesh with his expectations for a future mate... and they do.

I love your videos, Mat. It's so great to get a perspective from a conscious, real, fun man. When I met Mark, he showed he was really in to me by finishing work early, so that he could spend more time with me at the weekend, cancelling a concert he was going to with one of his favourite artists, for the same reason and recounting a conversation he had had with a male friend of his where he was telling him that he's just met an amazing woman etc and that if he didn't feel really lit up by the girl he was considering committing to, then he shouldn't bother. Left me in no doubt how he felt about me :)

This is great. The guy I’m dating did all the things in this video and he told me he has thought about his life with me in it. He also has, multiple times, talked about asking me to marry him, in a way that is playful and sweet. It feels like he is gauging where I am at. He also opened up about never feeling this way about anyone and said that he doesn’t think he was ever really in love in the past. He thinks he was just infactactuated.

Great insight and advice Matt. The other 2 things that i experienced from a guy looking to commit is 1- First he introduces you in a group outing as his girlfriend or best freind to his closest guy friends. When he does this he is looking for reassurance from his Buddies that his woman is amazing as he feels she is. When he has marriage thoughts on the brain you get introduced to his immediate family. Brothers, sisters, parents etc. are his emotional sanctuary and he values if they will accept you into the family as well.

I like your videos and how you explain things for all of us (women) to understand. I like this guy and I think I’m falling for him yet I’m unsure if he wants a commitment or not. Yet when I’m with him I feel like I’ve known him all my life. I feel sparks and love that we give to one another without using words. Idk if what I feel he can feel it too or not

I have a feeling this only applies to mentally healthy men; the only men who have gone down this path with me were narcissistic and/or just did not want to be alone no matter who they ended up with. Still waiting for the "one" who will be easy and make it known he's totally into me for all the right reasons :-(

Matt, thank you for your videos! A sign of a man who wants to commit is a man who puts me first on his priorities. I am bothered by unwanted attractions that have caused business failure or trying to cause business failure for both he and I. Exclusivity is my only way to his future so neither one of us gets hurt. We will always need other friendships but love exceeds my expectations. I wish he would bring his business here or marry me and bring me to his home for us to work or wherever he travels to for work because dating is too complicated for me to go anywhere with my broken toe.

ALL of that was there, Matt, but now a couple of weeks ago, he said he needed space and then that he needed time and ultimately he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. It all started just like you said, but it changed suddenly. I am SO sad!

Awe.. thanks matt.. thank you.. this means alot to me.. I do notice and have noticed that he's for 1. Patience with me. 2. He's very fine with me. very patient and thouro.. and I love that about him he's meaningful.. and he's sensitive.. hes kind and loving heartful.. He's one who's very generous at heart and whos very sweet.. He's one who a wonderful teacher and one with a kind spirit.. I love him for who he is, but how do I know if I'm being right with him about being committed.. how do I show him the secret act of "commitment" when our communication needs to just get better?

My man is going through healing from divorce and so he’s often off and on... Sometimes he’s so exciting to be with and sometimes he’s just no here.. I just hope he comes around soon... l love him Matt..

All of them, Matt... all of them. We have known each other since a friend said you have to meet my friend. , in mid-Feb of this year. We hang out every weekend, I have met his parents and sister. He wants to meet my family. I am, oddly enough, not quite ready for the exclusive part yet, and he is ok with it. For now...lol. I want to say thank you, because before I started watching your RU-vid channel, I did not have the confidence to believe I could find someone like him. Thank you for what you are providing!!

Started talking to someone and on the first date we were talking and I was mentioning my Sisters 21st Birthday plans and an annual trip I take with some friends and cousins and he was bringing himself in and saying he’d love to join. I didn’t know what to say but I kind of liked it.
