Maybe I should've gotten those brakes! Im just comparing the m340 to the m3 because a lot of people consider upgrading to the M3 from this car like myself. I might end up doing that since this car is awesome but just misses on a few things
1. Ur saying it has body roll but you upgraded the springs? Why not buy the right suspension setup to mitigate that? FYI, the "bouncy" is because you changed only the springs, not the dampers as well. I did this to my old WRX and it made the car worse. That was back when I knew far less about suspension setup, prior to starting racing. 2. its ok its a street car don't need such insane steering feeling. good enough for what it is. I drove a G20 it's sufficient. 3. For Aero + Cooling when needed, German moment. 4. Just upgrade pads, piston count probably isnt the issue. You say you "skidded because you pressed the brakes so hard". That means they're working well enough to make you skid lmao, meaning the power is there. This counters your argument. 5. I believe it
True, I should've gotten some coilers but they are just so expensive! I have upgraded power stop ceramic pads on which defiantly help with the brake dust, but still don't stop as well as other cars ive driven. Maybe the pads made the stopping distance worse?
@@GearsAndGains1 usually the limiting factor in a max braking scenario is the tires. If you’re “skidding” you’re breaking traction of tires meaning the brakes are too powerful for the tires in that moment. Some pads have more “initial bite” and also are just grippier pads (like tires) so less brake pressure (from the pedal) is needed to apply the same amount of braking torque to the wheel. Re: coilovers. Yeah, any car can be made to handle decently well provided they have the right setup. Maybe you just don’t like the stock setup that’s fine. But changing only the spring and leaving shock that was specced for the OEM spring usually isn’t good.
True, I've upgraded my pads but the whole break system is harder to upgrade because the brakes are electronically assisted. Maybe there's a rotor upgrade I can do!
