Nice review, I have the pedestal edition gen 3 and I agree with everything you said. I have the V and an ATS and the qui is a compromise. The volume is frustrating for sure, but I just use the steering wheel. I went to the V experience out in Nevada fall '20 and they told us never use race mode on the street, the shocks are too stiff and they said it's very easy to bend a wheel, usually they said it's on the inside where the rim is not directly supported. I love race mode but I don't want to replace wheels so I go into vehicle settings set the steering to Sport or Race, the suspension to sport and the exhaust to the most aggressive and just lock them in. Really like this car, it's so powerful that you really have to pick where you stomp on it, you can get well past 100 before you know it.

I’d suggest better tires, not necessarily bigger. My v3 is making 830whp and I dead hook with my toyo R888rs in the same tire size at a 20 roll on a warm day.
The first guy I've ever seen that counts the exhaust on this vehicle as a dislike. I'm sure you can do something aftermarket to get it where you would like it.
I have the 2018 CTS V and I've seen a few good reviews on this vehicle the best mode is sport mode race isn't needed for everyday driving the Q system is troubling for some people but i just use the steering wheel and play off my playlist. But i will agree for 100k a car should have a better infotainment system. My suggestion smaller pulley better pistons and exhaust upgrades. 750 whp and some sport cup 2 tires
The Gen III is a beast. It's truly a Jekyll and Hyde car. The only one that would concern me is the tires. I had traction issues with my Hellcat and bought some 315s to solve it. The CTS-V and GSF are on my shortlist. Have you had any mechanical/electrical problems?
The only issue I have had in the last 2 years is one time due to a brake recall the dealer never properly reinstalled the caliper which cause it to fall off one time while driving. The only other issue was a clicking from the front right tire which was the brake pad causing it. These two issues were pretty minor given how long I have had the car and how much I have pushed it.

I have two CTS-V's. He never put the trans in race mode, which opens the exhaust at 3,500 RPM. As for the radio volume, there is also adjustment on the steering wheel. Most people don't know what a CTS-V is. There are plenty of Mustangs in my area that got the surprise of their life. It's more of a sleeper, thus you don't need a loud exhaust. Let the speedo do the talking. 2019 was the last year of production. There are still some out there with low miles. People buy them realizing that it's too much car.
i'm not hitting revlimiter then shifting. I am shifting about 500 rpms before hand the car hit's rev limiter and then delays shifts. Maybe you should learn to think
After living with the car for almost 2 years now I wish most of the things on the list could be changed. Yes some of the things on the list are very small, which reflects that this car is really amazing and doesn’t have many flaws aside from what is pointed out.
I own the smaller brother to the CTS-V I'm enjoying it. There's no vehicle out there that doesn't have it's short comings. Hope you are enjoying your CTS-V it's an awesome machine
