Welcome to the Grand Pa Roger Federer school, where he gave 5 next gen players a tennis lesson!
Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Francis Tiafoe...
Players nearly have his age had no answer to the Swiss maestro's genius, and his brutal attacking display.
What would happen if Carlos Alcaraz, or Jannik Sinner played Roger?
Thank you, Roger for everything you've done for tennis.

@slam5
@slam5 Месяц назад
@@alexanderwinzer2602 his 20 gs was against a lot tougher opponents that dojo won with. he transitioned the transition of technology. think about it, he was winning against agassi and sampras. and he beat all the gen after them. tennis technology was different back then. he adopted to a change in surface that was advantageous to his game. he beat the next gen consistently. and he was still beating the current gen when his body finally gave in. if that is not amazing, I don't know what is.

All that debate about most number slams or what not... The amount of skill that is needed to play this kind of tennis has only been achieved by one person ever. Where Novak and Rafa try to play the most solid tennis and watch their opponents make unforced errors, Federer goes out to actively create winners to finish rallies, some taking multiple steps to set up. Sure he doesn't get bonus points for doing it the hard way, but it sure is a lot more entertaining and respected.

@luigimanzelli3786
@luigimanzelli3786 Месяц назад
to be fair consistency has always been the key for top players, it just isn't anymore. Even players that were not winning slams were consistend in the 2000s. Players like Berdych and Ferrer for example, were in top 10 for many many years without fumbling, even Tsonga who was a bit less consistent, was still playing well for the majority of the year. Honestly dunno what the problem is for players if this decade. They probably just have too many useless things inside their head.

@@Milan1988Z i don't think you remember tennis very well.... those player might have lost sometimes, sure, but they still retained their spot in the rankings consistently for many years, thing that doesn't happen anymore these days. clear examples include Tsitsipas, Berrettini, Aliassime. The top 10 is always changing, in the 2000s the top 10 was always pretty much the same.

In first 3 years of the 2020s (2021-2023) there were 14 different players. So even in that regard things are more stable now. Players like Medvedev, Rublev, Zverev are very consistently in top places. (not to mention Djokovic, Alcaraz and now SInner) Players dropping in or out of top 10 due to injuries or bad form has always happened, that's normal in tennis.

Also destroys Zverev on that indoor grass court in Halla to win it for the 95h time. People don't realize how by tennis slowing down ALL the surfaces and the balls it reality fucked Federer. They wanted to make it more competitive and it worked. It wasn't until they slowed it down that Djokovich and Nadal got any foothold outside of Nadal on clay. Djokovic at an older age beat Alcaraz and Sinner back to back for the the ATP Finals title for a record 7th win. Sinner would chew up and spit out 2017 Goffin for breakfast. And of course talking about Zverev, he beat Federer 4-3 in the head to head including beating Federer at Halle, Shanghai, ATP Finals... fed is not tennis he is running shoes and watch sales ..Fed was weak mentally with his spoiled up bringing... had no fight at all the armchair tennis fans got sold by the marketing..Djoki had to fight for every inch with his up- bringing is why is Djoki's mental strength is unmatched...Fed was so weak he lost to Djoki 3 times in a row at wimbledon finals on his Supposed BEST SURFACE and had the whole crowd on his side too!!! Fedsqaush was Weak mentally, weak backhand he is a sell out to marketing .Djoki stood his ground on beliefs not A SELLOUT like fed..
