07:38 what I was going to say is the rules of biology still apply to me... not the rules of some random influencer on social media...
@cesarjavierbarbosa2acidgre276
Onions isn't tooooo high in carb. Assuming it's in moderation.
@cesarjavierbarbosa2acidgre276
Eat fruits and potatoes if you wish. It doesn't matter anymore. Keto or not, I urge you not to eat grains (any grains) ever again!!! (I'm pretty sure is something you wouldn't eat anyway, but you can do your own rule, just not grains, just a reminder on why no one should eat like I did) My blood sugar and A1C is a mess. I'm rotting into pieces cause I been addicted to them and couldn't quit. Am 23 and developed wrinkles at a accelerating rate. Carbs itself isn't the problem, it's something in grains and that something harmed me slowly but surely.

Congratulations! It also helped my pre-diabetes immensely. It came back once I had to be on prednisone for 18 months though, but food heals. Now that I'm off prednisone, I know how to eat to heal from it disrupting my hormones. Prednisone did save my life though, not saying to not take your medications. The benefits definitely outweighed the risks at the time. Now it's time to heal from the treatment.

You and Dr. Ken both look even healthier now than you did 4 or 5 years ago. It's so evident to anyone who watches some old videos and now current ones. Clearly you're both eating what is a PHD and healthy diet for you personally. I'm still working to rebuild my health and find just the right foods for my body. I have reversed type 2 diabetes, lowered my blood pressure and resolved a lot of my anxiety and depression in the last 11 months. I'm about to turn 57 and am healthier now than I have ever been. I still have weight to lose but am not focused on that. I eat mostly carnivore and as you say try to eat intuitively - eat when I'm hungry and don't focus on tracking anymore. At least 4-5 days a week I eat OMAD simply because that works best for me at work. I stay hydrated while at work (very physical job) but avoid eating because I'm not actually hungry. However food and snacks are everywhere and I would eat just to eat even if I had my foods with me. I'm down 145 lbs from my heaviest and could stand to lose another 45 or more - just wherever my body lands will be fine. I'm grateful for Dr. Bikman's book Why We Get Sick which led me to this way of life again. I had done Atkins in the past and lost quite a bit of weight BUT believed the lies that it was not healthy. Dr. Bikman helped me see the truth and then I found my way to Dr. Ken and you. I appreciate you both standing up for the truth even when facing outright attacks from others at times. I have encouraged other family and friends to follow you both so they can learn to reclaim their own health. I've lost 4 close family members to complications of diabetes and I didn't want to be next. As I now tell everyone, 'Type 2 Diabetes isn't in your genes; it's in your pantry." You can take control and have a better quality of life. I'm off 5 prescription meds and feel amazing. Thank you Neisha! Keep up the inspiration and education.

Why bother? No one lives forever. Who wants to live to be 100 and since reaching 70 lose your mind and revert to a baby's mind pooping your diapers for the next 30 years? It happened to my granddad. That's not living, that's the definition of a living hell. It would be better to enjoy life and stroke out at a younger age before you end up as an elderly person pooping your diapers.

@@patjohnson742 I watched my father spend the last 13 years of his life disabled after multiple strokes and took care of him the last 7 years. I believe if he’d been diagnosed as type 2 diabetic earlier and had a proper diet he might have avoided being completely disabled. His own mom lived to be 94 and only needed help the last few years of her life. My dad lived to 93 but the quality of his latter years was so different. We don’t know the number of our years but we can make changes to give ourselves the opportunity for better quality years. Not only will it affect your life but also your family who have to care for you. My mom died much younger than dad and I believe being his caregiver negatively affected her health as I experienced the same when I took over his care. So you take care of your health for you and your family. ❤️

I'm sold on Keto! Been doing it for 13 months or so. My blood glucose is no longer in diabetic range and I no longer need BP meds. All my blood markers are back in "normal" range. A low-carb/fasting lifestyle saved my life as far as I'm concerned. My humble advice to anyone contemplating the Keto lifestyle would be: Following a diet regime that eliminates from, or at the very least, limits empty carbs in one's diet, does oneself and their family a huge service. Keep up the good work. Let's not leave our loved ones before we have to🙂

It's been a slow process but plan to eat this way the rest of my life. If I splurge once in a while...oh well. Get back on track. I am never hungry and do not feel deprived. Little to no fruit and little vegetables. It's the best way to eat for me, and I'm not thinking about food all the time. Neisha, I'm almost in the same place as you. I went keto in Sept 2018, so this Sept will be 5 years for me. Went carnivore in Dec 2021, so just over a year now. I even remember when Ken first said he was going to try this new carnivore 'fad' diet! I was diagnosed in 1998 with T2D - not a surprise, it's all through my family. When I first started keto, I bought a 1L bottle of Bulletproof MCT Oil, and would load up my coffee with that, butter and heavy cream. Even bought a bullet blender to mix it. I started taking 10 or 11 different supplements (Vit. D K, B12, E, ALA, CoQ10, Omega 3 oil, etc.). As my health improved, I started cutting back on all my meds, starting with insulin. I started recording all of my meals, BG ketones, BP, Lipid results etc. using Cronometer. I also started fasting (or more correctly Time Restricted eating). Also started making my own yoghurt and fermented veg. Within a year, I'd dropped the BP coffee. I started to cut back on the vitamins when my blood results showed no deficiencies. Then I went carnivore, and stopped doing the fermented veg. I also stopped taking my BG and ketones. The diet is about proper food choices, not chasing ketosis. After a food sensitivity test determine I was sensitive to lactose & casein, I stopped making the yoghurt, and cut back on dairy. After being carnivore for a year, I know what I need to eat, so I stopped recording my food. Finally, I've stopped going for blood work. I didn't need to worry about it when I was 20, and at 69, if I'm eating a PHD, I don't need to worry about it now. Life's a LOT simpler now. I eat 'breakfast' I get hungry, usually around 3PM and dinner around 5:30 PM. But it's not chiseled in stone. We usually have a special brekkie on Sunday morning: I do a killer Eggs Benny (min is on a salmon cake instead of an English muffin). We also go out for lunch every Wed,. where I get a rare steak sandwich WITHOUT the bread and fries. And if I happen to be hungry in the morning (very rare), I eat something. The fridge is always stocked with burger patties, bacon, boiled eggs, salmon, deli meat and cheese I haven't seen my doctor for two years now.

Isn't great to realize how far you've healed and scary to think where you could be had you not jumped in?? Love the honesty, integrity and rolling with the babies just wanting to be with Momma 💜 Beckett wanting to do your hair 💙 oh my heart.

I'm doing BBBE right now, it's mostly to lose my belly, arthritic pain, low energy, acne, slight acid problems, slight sleep issues. I'm 54 and menopausal, and things are changing. I did Carnivore for about 6 months before covid, with amazing physical results, and I'm looking forward to see how I can heal myself with( or without) food!

Congratulations on your beautiful healthy baby! I haven't watched y'alls channels in a while because I just couldn't get on board with carnivore but I'm drinking the koolaid now and ready to shift to carnivore :) Anyhoo - I just wanted to say that I've been keto for several years. I'm 68, do lots of hard labor in my garden and house renovations. In summer especially, I just couldn't keep up electrolytes so I started LMNT 3 months ago and add to my drinks daily. Sometimes I have heart palpitations and LMNT cures it! If I feel achey in the morning LMNT cures it! I buy the unflavored so I can add it to any drink during the day (coffee, tea, water). Highly recommend!

MashaAllah, you have been given such a wonderful family!! Oh, and I love the content too. I think newbies can learn a lot from vets like you who have gone through it all and came out the other side knowing what works for YOU. We humans get dogmatic about so many things without the experience or knowledge to back it up. TDLR: Listen to and learn from your body, people! Ain’t nobody else in there to tell you what to do. 🤓

I’m so glad to hear these things that you NO longer do. Everything you listed are things that bother me. I have been fasting 18-20 hours a day. It’s making me not want to EAT at all. Then I actually get sick. No more- I’m going to eat when I feel the need. I stay tired and have not lost one ounce in almost 4 months and still have 50 lbs to lose. Rules are out for me! Keto bullies don’t bother me either. You be you and I’ll be ME.I like to see your quick meals that you eat while holding a baby! 🤣😂🤣😂

I totally agree with you on keto. It works in so many ways. Also, not enough people listen to what their body is telling them. We are each different based upon health, work, exercise. These all are variables that make each one of us approach the way we do keto just a little bit differently. Great kids and love your smile.

@@Apricot90 Look for a plastic surgeon experienced with breast implant illness (which can make autoimmune issues worse). They can do transplants and lifts. I went to Dr. Victor Urzola in Escazu, Costa Rica. Yes, as an American, still came out about even as I would getting the surgery at home, even with lodging and the plane tickets. He was wonderfully knowledgeable and the hospitals in San Jose and Escazu are just as nice as the ones in the US.

Neisha, I am on day 37 of a 40 day fast. This is the fourth time I've done this. It is for religious reasons, not for diet, though I have lost 30 lbs. since I started. The first few days, my body was cleansing from everything in my system. Usually on day seven I have gotten sick to my stomach, complete with vomiting. Since I started on Keto 5 years ago, there wasn't anything in my body to eliminate like that. I sailed through the seventh day with flying colors. After the 20th day, I feel like I could do it forever, and I despise food and the control it has over me. I'm now three days before my completion. I still feel great. My ketones have been 7.5 to 7.8, and twice in the last week my meter has registered HI, which I think means it was over 8.0. My sugar on my CGM has been 5.3, which blows alarms at me when I'm sleeping, so I force stop the app until morning. I plan on going carnivore following the fast. I appreciate everything I've learned from Dr. Berry, and am going this route due to his influence. Thanks for everything you two do for the Keto and Carnivore community.
