I think it was a good idea to bring the dad along on the trip at the end, makes it more familiar for her when she wakes up every day. Her face when she met her daughter though, she's basically saying 'She's perfect' - that should be a great way to spend her childhood though

But I think Henry knew his relationship with her is going to be a tough uphill battle, but he does it anyways because he loves her and wants her to still move forward with a family who loves her even if it's only for a few hours a day.
the thing about adam sandler is...he has a childhood friend, that never stopped talking to him even when everyone else ran from him as he was a struggling comedian for years and yet his best friend financially helped him through it all, and from the first movie adam starred in to the current day, he makes sure he puts him on as a consultant so no matter what, his friend will get a share of the profits of every movie....(i know hes african american cause his manager showed a childhood photo of them together and the 50 first dates world premeire with their families together in 2004) i think adam is hated because hes not a typical douchebag, and actually takes care of everyone who had his back since he started out...he has no scandals so , sadly hes hated...it says something about our culture where we have a guy in hollywood who isnt a self absorbed prick , is fan friendly and is hated for making movies so he help out his best friend and his family
I was feeling terriably sick one night and on the absolute verge of puking. My boyfriend came home from a long shift at work, saw me on the couch suffering and offered to carry me to the bedroom as I wasn't feeling well. I declined becuase I wanted to stay on the puy just in case I got sick overnight. What happened next confirmed to me that he was the one I would one day marry. He dissapeared into the other room for a moment and then came back with a number of blankets. Without asking, he made a palet on the floor next to me so that he could take care of me throughout the night and keep me company. When I thanked him for how sweet he had been later, he had no idea what I was talking about. He never even blinked. 😍

Or waking up in the middle of the night with weird cravings? Total nightmare. If she want kids hopefully they went the surrogate mother way or whatever it is where someone else carries the baby or something. Otherwise what a nightmare. Dad would have to sleep in same room as her during whole pregnancy otherwise. Only way I can see her being even remotely calm about any of that.
I always said this 🤣🤣🤣 imaging if this was real.....the whole 9months would of been trippy!!!!! And then what if she was in labour for like 72 hours!!! Madness but adorable they somehow made it work obviously, that's probably why daddy came along to help her feel safe if she had a bad day of dealing with it, re assuring her probably have pictures and videos of their days together. I was 16 when I met my boyfriend. My mom didn't allow boys to sleep over, but I really wanted to fall asleep with him. So he used to come over to my house and wait for me to fall asleep in his arms. Once I was asleep, he'd sneak out so I wouldn't wake up and head home. It didn't matter how late it got or if he had to wake up early the next day, he still refused to leave until I fell asleep. After a while, I started to pretend being asleep just so he wouldn't get home too late. 8 years later and we're still together. Wouldn't trade him for the world.
My husband holds my hand through seizures and carries me to my wheelchair every time I can't get out of bed or need help getting into my chair. He teaches my sons the meaning of what a man is. Been married 21 years this March.

The most thoughtful thing anyone has done for me. She was a friend, not even a super close friend. I would occasionally mention this book I used to love when I was a kid. I couldn't remember the name but I remembered the story and mostly that it had really vivid illustrations. She found it. She figured out the name, found a copy, and gave it to me for (I think) Christmas. It's the most thoughtful, special thing anyone has ever done for me or given to me.
When I was 22, one of my friends died in a car crash. I was devastated but had recently moved back to the area after 5 years away and had lost touch with all of my old friends and felt like I had no one to reach out to. After driving around kinda aimlessly I ended up at my high school best friends house - she happened to be outside with her fiancé. I had literally NOT SEEN HER in 5 years. She took one look at my face, turned to her fiancé and said “hey, can you reschedule the wedding dress fitting for me? I can’t make it this afternoon.” She held me while I cried all afternoon.
God puts the right people in thebright places when you need them. I remember I was broke, 30 miles away from home and my car battery died. It needed a new alternator. I was able to pull into autozone and charge my battery for free. I figured, I would get the battery charged than drive as far as possible and whennit died, I was going to get a tow thru my Geico roadside assistance. I ran into a man at autozone that was going the same direction I was and he had a battery charger. He followed me home, we pulled over half way to recharge than proceeded the rest of the way. I NEVER expected that kind of kindness from a stranger.
My husband saved my life. I was suicidal when we met and he saved me. He had found my note before he was supposed to and got me into a hospital. Initially, I wasn't happy with him cause I wanted to die but now that I am through those dark times I am forever grateful.

My boyfriend and I were only dating for about a month when my mom got really sick unexpectedly and we had to put her on hospice, I stayed with her everyday never left, he sat there with me and my family and comforted not just me but all of us. That's when I knew he truly loved me. I would of never made it through without him.

Well we talked every day for months and he left his job and drove over 800 miles to start a relationship. We are now happily married with kids. It was the most romantic grand gesture of my life.
I dont really like romcoms because most are cringe and often tries so hard to induce that gooey butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling but only superficially. I remember appreciating this one though because the idea of trying to have someone (who will SURELY forget you the next day) fall in love with you everyday for the rest of your/her life is really romantic. And Sandler's character persevered when most would've taken her condition and the dad's threat as excuses to give up--and they were valid reasons too! but it shows how someone so in love wouldn't be defeated. It may not be realistic (at least to the average couple), but still, that notion of true love is very admirable. Also, the long-haired friend with the bad eye was a ridiculously hilarious character.
My husband is legally blind and we met on Match. It was instant love and we saved each other. We treat each other with such respect and we also love to joke around a lot. He came up with my RU-vid name. 😉 We are going on 8 years married and feel like we have been together forever.

Something like this happened to my wife after a brain infection. She would reset after she fell asleep and freak out when she woke up in the hospital. This made the movie have more meaning after that experience. I always describe that experience as our "50 first dates". We're also from where this movie was filmed. Whenever I tell people the story, it feels surreal. Whenever I tell my wife the story, she falls in love over again.
BTW, in case nobody else saw this: The pineapple is a symbol for Lucy's memory. The pineapple goes flying in the accident, representing her losing her memory. Dad gets a pineapple without her, representing Dad making sure Lucy doesn't remember the accident. Later, when Lucy and Henry are at the beach, there are a few pineapples on the ground, representing Lucy's memory slowly staying intact with the help of the tape.
There was this one time I walked up to a guy to ask him why only his middle fingernail was painted pink, his reply "it got you to walk up an talk to me" I was like 😳🤔🤭🥰 it worked 🤷🏽♀️😅😅😅

Not me, but my parents. They were married in 1962 before couples started doing Unity Candles during their wedding service. For their 30th anniversary, Dad made a Unity Candle set up for them to light. It was so sweet and Mom was so touched. They almost made it to 58 years - Dad passed away this year in August just 5 days before their anniversary.
I love this movie and it sucks that there are people out there who act like it would be a great horror movie because of how creepy Henry(Sandler) is for flirting with Lucy(Barrymore) everyday. Wow, people today are crazy. Imagine thinking a guy liking a girl enough to put in effort every single day to date her, finding a way to let her at least attempt to live a life past the same day over and over again, and when she breaks up with him, he leaves and thinking "wow that's creepy." Seriously. The movie is about loving someone who cannot remember you love them much the same as Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, and their families often deal with. Some places actually used the movie method Henry used in the movie, and got mostly positive results. It's no cure for diseases and other things that affect memory, but it helps the patients feel better. Is the world so soft now, that someone going out of their way to try to help someone they fell in love with is now seen as creepy and bad?
The most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me was when I was having a really bad depressive episode one weekend and I had a number of chores that needed to be done that day, but I just couldn't physically get myself up to do them. My best friend went out and bought all the things I needed and even took $40 out of her bank so I could have cash for the laundry (I lived in an apt) and delivered it to my door without me asking. She just texted me to look outside and there it was. I straight up cried, it was so kind and thoughtful and no one had ever gone out of their way like that for me. It really helped bring me back out of that episode and I was able to tackle my list and get back on track.
it was recently, i have hypoklemia (low potassium) i was born with it, if it gets low enough my organs will slowly fail and ill pass out and its fatal if my potassium level isnt elevated, so i was my friend's house and i remember going down the stairs and then i remember i was flat on my stomach breathing hard and couldnt move all i can remember is her crying and her son snapping his fingers to get me up and his grandma nudging me to see if i was ok..... she called my doctor and we found out i passed out from my low potassium and hit my head so i had a concussion, and she said i did a "death rattle" (her husband died of diabetic shock who was a childhood friend) and despite it triggered that event to her she still came out with her son and her mom-in-law to make sure i was breathing and her son carried me upstairs later on that day she paid for my potassium medications that were very expensive and walked in snow with her son to get me bananas, yogurt, brocoli (i vaguely mentioned they were my favorite veggie) and orange juice (very good things for getting potassium) and she even with her bad ankles walked up to the room i was sleeping in and brought up my medications and tropicana calcium orange juice (my favorite orange juice and i mentioned that to her maybe years prior) still tear up just thinking about how sweet that was of her, her son and her mom-in-law her son still calls me "uncle:

He was hitting on me over social media (Not a creep. I knew him from back when we were teenagers) and I thought he was just playing with me, but he traveled to the state I lived in (obviously from a different state), showed up at my job with flowers and told me he wanted to be with me. Still together 4 years later.
I used to live in Kailua Hawaii where this was filmed on the island Oahu and had my sailboat in Waikiki. Not only is this movie funny as heck, I also get to look at all the places I have been! I am so glad you liked this movie I thought the notebook was a D minus LOL
My uncle took me and my brother to see it to try to cheer is up a little after our grandfather passed away. Needless to say, the ending hit us HARD. As good as it is, it's a tough one to watch for that reason.
after spending 7 yrs trying to become a teacher, my ex bought me a 'professional' purse the year I started. She put any and everything in it that would make me smile & keep me prepared. All the way down to tissues with positive notes on them & my favorite candies. It was my favorite color and made me feel so safe. We broke up, but are amazing friends. That kind of thoughtfulnees is unconditional love.
Recently, a good friend sent me one of those paintings where they condense ur fav movie down into a long strip of vertical colors from the movie scenes, they're like $100. She sent it for no reason except that I'm chronically ill and she wanted to cheer me up.
One thing to know that in the Notebook. Ally wrote the book and asks Noah to read it to her. There's a delated scene that shows when she started to lose her memories, and so she writes the book. But yeah, this is basically similar to that.
When I started losing my sight a few years ago and couldn't drive anymore, my husband drove me to and from work every day so I didn't have to lose all of my independence.
Having spent almost seven years of my 21 year military career on the Island, this movie holds a special place in my heart for rom coms. Doesn't hurt that it's a fairly solid film as well.
My husband made my favorite food and 2nd favorite cake for Mother's Day (it's my first Mother's Day). He had it ready for me when I got off of work. My husband is always thinking of our son and I, we really are lucky to have him. He's super committed to be a great husband and father, I'm lucky he always wanted to be a loving spouse. I strive to be better for him.

If I see someone I’m interested in, I ask if they’re any good at word games, and whatever their answer, I proceed to describe the word game, then I set the stakes-loser owes the winner a drink, or $5-10 bucks, something like that-and I ask if they’ll take the bet. If they don’t, I admit it’s a hustle anyway and I offer to tell them the trick, but only if they’ll let me know if it works for them when they try it on a friend or family member, and I give them my number so they can get back to me. It they take the bet, I win and I offer to change the stakes, asking for their number instead. Sometimes I get a date, sometimes I make a new friend, sometimes I win a drink or some extra cash. Even if nothing comes of it, it’s fun.

I have a group of girls I went to college with. In 2019 my mom got super sick so I quit my job and moved back home to help her. I had posted a picture on Snape answering a question and within minutes I had about 20 calls and messages asking if I needed help or if they needed to come into town. We all live in 3 different states now. Easily the kindest thing ever. They didn't even hesitate to make sure I was okay and that my mom was okay. Everything worked out fine.
I really loved his Dramatic Role (but with comic elements for sure) in the movie "Punch,, Drunk, Love" you should see ... one of my favorites of his as well.. :)

I absolutely love The Wedding Singer and it's soundtrack!!! This movie also has a great soundtrack! It's also one of my favorite movies. When I first got it on dvd when it came out, I had the flu and put it on the tv. It played for 6 days on a loop in varying languages...I wasn't too sick to stop it. I just didn't want to stop watching it.
Fun fact I actually met Rob Schneider at comedy catch in Tennessee. He was doing stand up comedy and he was absolutely hilarious. Even got a picture with him.
My boyfriend at the time (we’ve gotten married since) and I were in a car accident. I broke my knee and tore my acl. He damaged his eye and forehead pretty badly from the airbag and gotten stitches. For months after he took care of me. He helped me to the bathroom,helped me shower, brought me every meal in bed. He acted like I was unable to move on my own lol. I knew I was going to marry him from that moment. We’ve been together almost 8 years now.

My thoughtful story is; My partner paid for my cats surgery. We were dating for about 3months and he knew I was in school, I would have needed a loan to pay for it. He paid the full bill and wouldn't let me pay him back. I have a very compassionate partner. I also give him a lot of credit for me being sober for over 4 years. He supported me through it all.
I LOVE this movie. Adam Sandler is not my favorite but he's such a talented that makes me enjoy almost everything he's in. Plus, his chemistry with Drew Barrymore is off the charts!
I think this is one of my most fav movies ever... i can always rewatch it... and it made me really want to move to hawaii... and I've been living in Maui for 7 years now.

I hadn’t actually really thought about what you said about Adam Sandler being there for his friends by putting them in his movies all the time but you’re definitely right because by doing that he’s ensuring that they get paychecks. Four of his movies that I love every time I watch them are the Wedding Singer, Mr. Deeds, Big Daddy, and this one.
I think the most thoughtful thing anyone's done for me was around 7 - 8 years ago. I had just been dumped, and worked in the same place as my then ex. I didn't handle that breakup well. My neighbours would hear me crying through the wall, my sister told e=me that i was a shell of a person. I would just lay in the dark in silence for days. The last day i could bring myself to work, i had finished and just found myself aimlessly walking, on the brink of another breakdown. Someone that was a friend of a friend, that i had spoken to only 2x (Hi, bye kind of things) saw me. She told me i wasn't going to be alone, and brought me to a nearby bar for food and drinks. She just sat there with me and literally spent her last $ on trying to make me feel a little better (she was a very broke student). Looking back, that was such a sweet thing to do for someone she really didn't know. And honestly - i REALLY couldn't be alone that night. That relationship was very toxic and abusive, and i had become dependent on that person. When we broke up, I didn't know how to function, because my whole world revolved around him. The breakup was a good thing in the end. I've lived and learned since, and am in the healthiest relationship I could have dreamed of.

I know I’m late to this but I’ve been binge watching your videos and love your commentary! Now I would like to brag because I know I’m blessed to have a good man. My boyfriend has been with me for almost 5 years. He helped me take care of my mom when she has multiple strokes back in Nov. 2019. He was there when my dad caught Covid leading to his heart attack and open heart surgery. Groceries, driving, doctor’s appointments, the works. He cooks *chef’s kiss* He helps me take care of my Memom who’s 93 with dementia. And most of all he stood by me when I was in my darkest place and didn’t want to be on this earth. Been my rock, kept me smiling and let’s me lean on him when I need to catch my breath from treading water. Was there as I learned to love myself again. Been a rough few years but we’ve been a team.
Most thoughtful thing: I met a man on Facebook. He dropped his entire life and moved to TN to be with me because I was in management and I was career focused. A few months after he moved here, I was in a couple car accidents wher I was hit both times and the second left me unable to return to work. This was a month before the big covid outbreak. This man found a a job working from home where they only care about job performance and not minutes at the screen which they explained would allow him time to assist me throughout the day. He recieved higher pay, better insurance. He still wanted to marry me when I was broken and he did. He got us a beautiful 1st floor apartment. He takes care of me, our home and our puppy all why working and planning his next promotion so we can purchase a house. My husband started with a huge gesture of love and care and the 23rd was our 2 year anniversary and he hasn't stopped yet. He even cheers me on as I write my book...he is what I wanted and needed. I love that man.
I had meet this guy and told him that I was afraid of getting close cuz people always leave me so the first day he was at my place he left some of his things and when I texted him telling him that he left these things he said “ i know, I did it on purpose so you now I’ll be back” I cried so much and we are still together about to get our own place
My favourite part of th e movie is sje doesnt get a miraculous cure at the end. He has to do that for the rest of his life, and it will never get better, but he doesn't care because he only cares about givung her the best quality of life possible.
The most thoughtful thing? I can't choose one.. My husband is amazing. I have some mental health problems and after 50yrs of life some physical ones also...He is with me through it all. We've been married 28yrs and together 2yrs before that and sometimes it still seems like the first day. Hope you find your other half soon. You deserve it.
