Had an issue with mine where i removed the water drain plug to drain a little water that had accumulated in the pump. Reinstalled took off down the road. Didn’t make it 1 mile before the engine started running rough. Immediately turned around didn’t even make it back home. Towed it back. Turned out to be the drain plug o ring. It was totally worn out and was allowing the pump to suck air. Replaced it and crunk right up.
I can't believe someone would go through the work to change the fuel pickup foot without cleaning out the tank. If it was a shop prior, that's just negligence. Since the fuel pump is cooled by diesel fuel, it probably didn't take long for the pump to overheat running dry. The truck may have a CJB in the future if the relay was overtasked.
Hey Karen, I don’t work by myself. There’s other people in the shop and he was pushing the truck backwards to make room for something else. Stupid comments like this is what makes me want to turn comments off which in turn only ruins it for the people who have an actual question or contributing comment vs someone like yourself who needs self gratification by patting them self on the back because you think your the chock block king. 👍
