I have a Ford F-350 a 2004 model with a 6.0 l diesel in it I am the second owner of it it has 458000 miles on it and the only thing that has been done to it has been 8 injectors and one turbo so far

Great Video, could have used a couple more close ups (single straight pipe rail) on the pressure valve (re:pencil push)....and definitely a BIG thank you for the video Monty.

Amsoil makes filters for this. They have 2 different ones but I buy the one made under license from raccor.

I just finished replacing all o-ring on all my injectors with alliant parts, with each bag/kit had the c-clip that goes on top of the injector. I tried for hours to get one out and just could not do it. Is there a tool that can get those little clips out? I ended up fishing out the o-ring and with great pain work the new one in past the clip and tapered piece. No issues so far, but there was no video on how to get those clips out. I have never replaced my oil rail nipple o-rings since 2006. According to diesel-tech-ron they never go bad. I did check them for any looseness, they where solid, no issues, good pressure. Thank you for your information and tips.

It shouldn't of been hours of fighting the c clip thats too bad it is abit tricky but if you have the proper picks its not terrible I did all 8 injectors in maybe 2 hours tops second the nipple cup seala fail often diesel Ron died years ago his videos are 10 years outdated back then maybe they never failed now they do

serbia991 Guess I've been lucky so far on the nipple cups. I have to remove all that mess every 3 or 4 years to do regular maintenance(new oil cooler, etc.), i always check for looseness, so far they have been solid, don't move. Every time when working on my 6.0's, I'm always singing praises for my 7.3, which gives me 99 percent less trouble!! Thanks to diesel-tech-ron, I'm able to keep my 6.0's running good and smooth, but when my 6.0's finally die, I'm done with powerstrokes! Not sure what will be available to replace them in 10 to 20 years, if I live that long!!

In case you are still interested there are several videos on rebuilding the 6.0 injectors, and at least two show how to get the c clip out. It looked brutal and risky, but they took a punch and hit the c clip down and towards the groove, in the middle of the clip. Took a couple three pretty solid whacks, but they deformed the clip and then dug it out with a pick. There were several methods I saw in the last couple weeks.

All OEM parts, so what's with the Dorman dummy plug?

Hi Kim! Thanks for reaching out! We apologize for the confusion! The OEM emphasis was supposed to be on the Racor products. Racor is one of the OEM's for the 6.0L, for filters, caps, etc. According to our mechanics, you shouldn't have to replace the plug unless you lose it or it accidentally gets trashed. Great vid, however it bums me out to see made in China on those valve cover gaskets.… it’s difficult to find made in USA anymore, bring the jobs back home 🇺🇸
