In this video of the 6.5 turbo diesel crank no start, we will see how easy it is to jump the glow plug relay and start the truck at any time we want.
Diesel engines need the glow plugs to be nice and hot so the engine would be able to start.

THANNKKKK YOOOOUUUUU. I just bought an 1998 6.5 sierra 3500 from the auction for $1600. It wouldn't start and I had to get a tow truck to bring it home. After looking at his video and 2 batteries later my new truck is running. Thanks

Hey man, thanks alot for video. I havent driven the van for about a week now, i tested your trick and IT worked 🙂 But the glow lamp is showing when i turn the key, is there maybe problem with the glow plug or the relay? Greetings from NorwAy 👍

glow plugs on these will burn out at 20 seconds, even 15. I would recommend 12 seconds max.

Well I will have to check that out because I just bought a Chevy Silverado a 1992 model 6.5 diesel ran like a champ all the way home 2 and 1/2 hours pulled in the driveway and the damn thing would not start! Couldn't believe it but I noticed the glow plug light was not coming on but I went back out and it turned over about 10 times and started up

New glow plug relay, new lift pump, new fuel line front to back, plenty of fuel , new glow plugs , new injectors, 2nd new injector pump this year they screwed the rebuild up at pensacola , installed new crank position sensor , i get lots of smoke and it will not fire up ! Junk 6.5 s i literally put 3200 in new parts not including install and mine still wont start !

Thank you for the video. 1993 Chevy 6.5 will start when cold but after going 7 miles or more it won't start. I have to wait 4 hours for it to cool down. I put new glow plugs and electronic cap on 5,000 miles ago. any suggestions would be appreciated. The glow plug relay lights up when cold but not when motor hot. Should I buy a new glow plug relay? Small town no mechanic knows. Thank you.

Glow plug light on dash is dependent on temperature. Cold ‘on’, warm/ hot ‘off’.

You can still energize the glow plug relay without the key being on.

Sounds like you need too adjust your IP pump timing. Very easy job but you need special wrenches too do it. 1mm is 2 degrees of advise meant.

Plugged cat. More than one or two glow plugs are bad.plugged fuel filter, Air in the line rust holes in the fuel line

@@slim4042 I have a 93 6.5 that starts when it is cold but after driving and I shut the engine off it won't restart for 4 hours when the engine is cold. Could that be a plugged Cat or glow plugs even with only 5,000 miles on them? Thank you.

@@Karfix Mine is the same worm idle. 20.8 psi idle. When i say worm its 185F. Its only driven 260.000km I hope its no harm it also increese when i rev. And drive But i have read that 20 psi is normal at idle. I use 15w-40. When i start cold its 60 psi

Hey buddy I have a question there somebody I know selling a 1999 gmc 3500 dually with 6.5L with 95,000 for 8,000 cash should I go for it or get a Ford F-350 dually 2006 and which one will be easier to fix if anything goes wrong

Well I just bought one it's a 93 dually pickup Silverado 6.5 diesel I paid 6500 for it. It runs great drives great but when I pulled in the driveway and shut it off it would not start again but I did get a started these trucks are high no matter what the hell they are I've looked at a lot of junk for more than what they are worth
