You put this over 43-8? I'm a Jags fan but I'm just asking. That was the Super Bowl. And if so, it was a great game period. If we didn't win, then you all would have beaten Green Bay twice.

For me, it's not even close. 43-8 was the 5th time the Broncos had been blown out in the Super Bowl lol. So been there, done that. When the Jags beat us, we hadn't won a Super Bowl yet, and Elway was nearing the end. And we Clearly had a Super Bowl caliber team, as proven the next two seasons lol. Elway has also said the Jags loss was the worst of his career despite 3 bad Super Bowl losses.

Pedro Rodrigues very under rated. He got some of the best experience you could get. He got mentored by Brett Favre and Mike Holmgren. And when I watch Brunell, it reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers. The mobility he had and the ability to throw on the run. He was almost the prototype for guys like Aaron Rodgers.

Jay Thompson we were a brand new franchise, and y’all were picked to win it all. It was a huge upset. We have zero rings and I know that. Y’all have been to 8 Super Bowls and have gotten your ass beat in all except the 3 you won(obviously). 1989 against the 49ers still holds the record after 31 years of being the largest defeat in Super Bowl history at 45 points.

I recall Denver stopping Jacksonville on a key 4th quarter 3rd and short. Michael Dean Perry, strolled his fat ass off the field and Denver was called for 12 men on the field, giving Jacksonville an automatic first down. I dont recall if they scored after that or were able to milk the clock out. Either way, it killed Denvers momentum.

The baffling momentum shift of this game, Broncos up 12-0, Jaguars up 27-12, reminds me of the Eagles scoring the first TD on their opening drive against Tampa Bay in the 2003 NFC Title Game, having all the history, momentum and weather on their side, then watching the Bucs strangle their offense, 27-10. The Rams had the Packers down 7-0 in 1967, plus an interception on the next GB drive, but didn't capitalize and Lombardi's machine slowly got into gear, and ground them into dust, 28-7.

Even tho living in Colorado, being a Oiler at the time then Titans in 1999, I still cheered the home team Broncos and I was 5 at the time and I cry harder on this game than I did SuperBowl XXXIV when the Titans lost to the Rams, history has shown alot that you sit your players for a period of weeks cause they clinch early they fall early, 96 Broncos, 05 Colts are the big example of why you have to play every week cause if you got a month to rest you become Rusty more than Rested.

I Remember Why, The bronco's had to make a stop Late in the Game, A Bronco's Lineman was called for getting off the field late, for a Penalty, and it Killed the Bronco's from getting ELWAY the Ball one last time.

The Carolina Panthers beat the defending SB champion Dallas Cowboys, 26-17 in the NFC Divisional playoffs in 1996 too. Carolina, like Jacksonville, were in their 2nd year of play. It would've been cool if the Jags and Panthers played each other in SB 31.

If I recall correctly, the Broncos scored a TD in the last minute or two, but couldn't get the onside kick. It wasn't like they were edged at the finish line, being down 30-20 deep into the final quarter.

No they didn’t. They lost by two touchdowns. They might have beat the Pats, but Favre at his best was better than Elway. To bad Favre playing very well only came once or twice a year. And this packers team had Desmond Howard and Keith Jackson. With Favre at his best, Desmond Howard and Keith Jackson, the Pack would still have beat the Broncos. And don’t forget. The 97 Broncos only won cause of Favre fumbling the ball in their own territory. If that didn’t happen, Green Bay would have won back to back Super Bowls.

Go rewatch this game and the Refs gave the game to the Jags. Denver had an interception for a TD which would have gave them a 2 TD lead which the refs called incomplete. Instead the Jags scored on that drive. No way Denver loses that lead.
