Boy was Manning amazing. Yes Brady rightfully is crowned as the best ever. But Mannings ability to see the game unfold in front of him and pick apart defenses was beautiful.

The Colts ended up getting home-field advantage in the AFC championship game that season because of this win. Very reminiscent of 49ers/Cowboys in 1994

WHAT AN ERA. I knew at the time it was special but to hear John Madden color commentate and watch Brady v Manny just makes it so nostalgic.

In hindsight this game decided home field for the AFC Championship game. This was stretch where we had this game, 2006 AFC champioship game. The year after that we had SB 41.5 where both teams were undefeated.

Miss this kind of football. There wasn’t a flag on every other hit. No PI on every other missed throw. And it didn’t get better than the quarterback wars of the Brady-Manning 2000s.

Looking back it’s crazy to think we watched the best and arguably the second best qbs battle it out every year for more than a decade. We had Jordan vs LeBron every year, sometimes twice a year. 80s, 90s, early 2000's football was just absolutely glorious, it's sad how the NFL is just becoming flag football now year by year and just becoming dull at this point

That was Bradys worst year statistically since his rookie year as a starter but with that backfield you can see why his passing stats were down eventhough his PR wasnt that good either. He then had his best season the year after. It was like transitioning from 2019-2020. Ironically his last season with the Bucs mirrors his 2019 season with the Pats but his 2yrs inbetween were statistically some of his best. I was really hoping he would come back and I think he would have for the right team(s) and won another SB on that team. Just imagine if the Jets just had a decent QB.
