In this episode I remove the accessory bracket for the alternator and A/C compressor.
Also the timing cover with a discussion on what I couldn't find on the internet about the single cam timing cover.
I also remove the timing gear and unload the scissor gear.

Where did you set the damper? On pin and then pin the crank from the driver side? And after that does it line up how it appears on your video. I’m talking about the idler gear the points an arrow down towards the oil Pan??

I did an episode that shows how I did everything. the arrows pointing down have to do with oiling for the idle gear. other than that, it's all about wedging the cam and pinning the crank. look for the episode entitled "Setting Engine Base Timing"

@@TerraFirmaX ok. I saw that video. I’m just swapping out my cam because it has a nic from low oil. I couldn’t get on quickserve and didn’t wanna continue. I ran into your videos and was helpful but I need to time the engine so I can remove the Cam. I’m assuming I put it in Pin and then pin the engine then open gear cover and see if idler gear is pointing down. If it is remove like you showed and then reinstall like you showed in the video your referring to??

That depends on what you are doing. Short answer is No. If you are doing an inframe it doesn’t matter.

you do not have to remove the alternator and bracket, you should have removed the cam timing sensor the bolt was out of it anyways its very easy to break, the viberation damper is removed with two people using a bolt head as a fulcrum with long bars one moves then the other and walk it off, works best if you take a torch to the center area and burn the rust out, let it cool before you pry on it. also you should have inserted the crank pin and cam wedge before removing the cam gear
