@@orckingi1208 not necessarily at that time, in cannon, clones go into a trance like state when Order 66 is activated, like Tup did. He shed tears, yes, but only after the fact during the days of the empire
He decided to sabotage the ship because he didn't want the clones to be able to blow up their escape pod or just follow it down to the planet below. Completely reasonable and not vindictive imo
As I pointed out in my comment (didn't see yours at first) his big errors were in not having his apprentice use Force Stasis before he got shot (that's a hell of a ability BTW, fight winner, especially if you have a teammate to carve up everyone while they're frozen) - okay maybe he couldn't use it consciously. But his other mistake was the classic Jedi one of only using a Lightsaber. The big ape could've carried a tripod mounted blaster and taken out the whole squad, or even just grab a portable force shield. Add in a blaster rifle (one handed) or a bunch of grenades or a grenade launcher and they would've got away scott free. Even a bunch of explosives would have been useful, lob them at the Clones, and they're useful for sabotaging further stuff on the way - keep the Clones busy and distracted so they don't notice the reactor is overloading. And leaving explosive booby traps is a great way to discourage pursuit.
@@casbot71 From what I could tell by the game, cal, at the time had no real control over Force Stasis and it was only really used out of emotion, hence it wasn't used more stratigically.
@@casbot71 yup sadly though jaro topal was a guardian not a sentinel, probably why a lot of sentinels survived order 66, they used way more weapons and techniques, and weren't afraid to use a blaster and bombs
I agree, I just wish that season 7 came out before Rebels and the Ahsoka book so that it would be unknown whether they’d survive or not. Still love the episode though!
Jaro's plan to blow up the ship was perfect. He almost escaped with his Padawan, killing all witnesses and making it look like they died in the explosion.
@@CoopMy Well I think Rahm Kota was a bit at the beginning of the clone Wars like : "So we are going to trust an army bred from a Bounty hunter that killed 10 Jedi ?" When order 66 came : "I warned them and they didn't listen..."
The easiest Jedi escapes of Order 66… All of the Recruiters that were out on assignment baby snatching. They would've cut and run, probably taking their assignment with them. In fact if organised they could've rebuilt the order, because they could find new Force sensitivities. The smart move would be to head to the Outer Rim way beyond the Empire, and start a low key training centre there. They also had the advantage that being experts at detecting Force sensitivities, they would also be skilled at hiding from Force detection. Certainly a better option than sulking in a swamp and hoping that a mediclorian star rookie crashes in your yard.
He sabotaged the reactor because he wanted to cover their escape and fake their deaths, and also so the clones wouldn’t go after them on the planet bellow.
The one Youngling the others bullied: I survived Order 66 because the other kids locked me in the bathroom. "What if he can't get out of there?" "Who cares. Look it's Master Skywalker."
@@goldencat208 Dear friend, please refrain from using "might/should/would/could of". That doesn't exist. The real term is "might/should/would/could have". People use "of" because the short form "should've" sounds a bit like should of, which is wrong. Thank you.
Phil Kab Thank you very much for that lesson (perhaps it will help me with my English at school). I will edit it now and try and remember to use it. Thank you so very much, again!
didn't disney order 69 him alongside legends and all that? (not saying their bs carries any significance or is valid in any way, just curious if he "officially" still exists)
Leo Feregrino Again what Hairline are we talking about, I mean he has a VERY thin layer of very light hair, wouldn’t you be able to see a pretty big scar through that?
Yeah, definitely. I guess it was lower down because the episode had not come out so for all he knew, ahsoka could have cowered in a corner till the clones left.
it took him about two weeks and he had to kill a full platoon plus one really really mean sob on an extremely dangerous planet. also unlike everyone else on this list, he was never refound. once he escaped he was gone
Hey, Alan! I have to say, your channel is one of the most technically informative sites I have seen. I tend to try to stay away from the more negative Star Wars RU-vidrs, so your positivity is right up my alley. I hope to build my channel off positivity and you're definitely an inspiration.
I think it was really impressive how mace windu intentionally jumped out of that window inorder to fake his death so that the empire wouldnt hunt for him.
fun fact in canon: after cody recieved order 66 he said something in the lines of "couldnt you give me these orders BEFORE i gave him the bloody lightsaber?"
You destroy the ship so you cant be followed cant get far in a escape pod, if they made it to ground an entire ship full of clones would be in pursuit. Smart move imo not vindictive
While I know that most Jedi were killed during 66 I wonder why don't we see more Jedi survivors with the Rebels later Obi-wan was looking after Luke so he's excused and Yoda felt like he failed and was ashamed. The Jedi at the time of the Galactic rebellion were perhaps the most experienced military commanders outside of the empire skills the Rebels very much needed.
You have to remember a lot of those surviving Jedi were either younglings or padawans at the time of Order 66. There were veeeeery few Jedi Knights and even fewer Masters who managed to survive the purge. For the masters, their power in the force made them much easier targets to find. Younglings and Padawans could much more easily blend in without their force sensitivity being detected.
IKR Why does this Alan guy pronounce shit so bad. He pronounces "Ashoka Tano" wrong. He says "O-Tah-Poo" for Utapau Instead of "Ooh-Tuh-Pow" Holy shit guy, learn the fucking names of the thing you're trying to make a video on
Ahsokas survival of order 66 is probably my favorite one and the best one. I mean she was surrounded by 501st clones and still evaded them while on a venator.
I think I’ll keep Shaaktis death in the force unleashed as head canon. Much more epic and I think develops her character a bit more. Plus it lines up well with the original animated clone wars.
As we are nearing order 66 in the last season of the clone wars I can't help but to feel anxious about seeing the Jedi Purge once again from another perspective.
I'm actually a little surprised this sort of thing never happened. He might not quite have been Rex, but he's one of the few I feel really deserved a second chance.
DURASTEEL?! My guy they use beskar not durasteel. Metals are on whole different leagues. In the Mandalorian pretty small ingots of beskar could be used as currency, similar to gold or silver.
randomasgray Mandalorian Iron is stupid strong but Cortosis is scary levels of durable. In Legends it is referenced that a Cortosis Credit Safe on Alderaan was found by Imperial Scout vessels after The Death Star destroyed the peaceful world...
The most difficult was plokoon because he was I a star fighter surrounded by his troops and has no hyperdrive and so if you get shot down. In a star fighter you basically die.
i love the lego story that obviously has nothing to do with extending the video to 10 minutes... dont worry I know what must be done, my favorite sw channel
smar-10 i would punch him in the face and take his channel and delete it. I honestly would. Get such ignorance away from us true Star wars lovers than can actually pronounce words
*HOW DARE does a channel on RU-vid can’t say fictional amount of words correctly due to them having a different accent and preference of saying things their way smh*
The Oofing bro it’s not an accent, there’s actual ways to pronounce things. Frankly it’s a little unprofessional if your channel is devoted to Star Wars content to mispronounce things as often as he does. A little bit of criticism doesn’t hurt, don’t get so mad lol.
@@pauljohnson2911 unprofessional? What is this? a business confress at Microsoft? God sometimes I'm ashamed to be a star wars fan bc of people like you. Hello 👋🏾 its fucking fiction get over it. If you understand the gist of what hes saying then who tf cares? Or just unsubscribe and follow other youtubers who know how to pronounce it.🙄
Darkwintre false. When Darth Vader killed Commander Fox his reasoning was because Fox’s men shot at him mistaking him for a Jedi. So... to quote Vader “Commander, how come you did not provide your troops with my description?”
I always start out thinking that Alan knows so much more than me with his particular pronunciations of people and places in SW then I hear him say Utapau...
