Rumination is really common after these kinds of crazy-making relationships end. It's totally normal and I feel you. I've been there. I'm here to tell you that it does get better with time. You just have to give yourself grace. This terrain is tricky to navigate, but once you start to figure it out, it gets easier going forward.

I look at it as a sort of the healing process BUt also part of my future defense . It may have happened once but once I escape it’ll never happen again cause I’m out at the first flag even if the man can literally walk on water and heal the sick.

Always an emergency of “ she needs money.” I scrolled through all of our messages and every single one was hey how are you then can I borrow money.” She’s known me for 7 years, knows I can’t drive cause of my health. I’ve asked many times hey can you give me a ride ( ahead of time,) and that I will pay for a full tank of gas.” Nothing ever. But she runs out of a box of cigarettes it’s can I have $30.” She knows my boundaries on that, I explained short and sweet last year. Doesn’t matter. Told her bye and blocked her finally.

He would always be willing to listen to how i felt. We'd have discussions about it, and i mistook his willingness to listen to mean he actually cared. However, as time progressed, it was always the same conversations, the same issues. There was no real resolution or compromise. My feelings were heard and summarily dismissed. I was expected to adjust my feelings and reactions, while allowing him to continue doing as he pleased, as he didn't see an issue with his hurtful behavior.

One thing to bear in mind is that neuro divergent people can use Stories about themselves to relate to the story you tell. This is very different from always making the conversation about them, but easy to confuse for it.

One day I want to meet the good people. People that contact me want something from me, it's never just hey let's hang. It's hey wanna go to xx (at that point it sounds good) and then it's, because I need to go get something there (being used for my car). When I need something, crickets.

@@francesoakford241Thank you. I stopped people pleasing a while ago. It leaves me alone and pretty much lonely. My guardian Angels seem to busy like my emotionally distant parents were. I hope I'm in a changing phase since I was the scapegoat. I'm much better now than how I used to be.

My “friend” said the reason she’s not texting me or conversing is because she’s depressed and anxious. I have the same issues but it doesn’t affect my friendships. I met this person at work. I had benefits because I was full time and she wasn’t. I bought her lunch on numerous occasions and told her not to worry about paying me back. I bought her two pairs of running shoes. I brought her extra food that I had from the previous nights dinner. I gave her migraines meds every month because she couldn’t afford them. And now she rarely txts me. I was in the hospital a while back and she knew this. Do you think she could even txt me to see if I am okay. I really think she’s using me. What do you think?

Gut instinct is not everything. It can be wrong as well. Sometimes, you need basic human support during hardships. Having a friend is a basic necessity in life. Sure, a person might be needy at times, but it does not necessarily mean he is using you as such. To return a favour, one must be capable enough of doing so, especially in those times. Always remember that. Before jumping to conclusions, maybe one should try to assess the person and his situation first?

Thing is if hes good looking she doesn't care. Until it becomes her problem, then hes a narc...no you knew the whole time, you used him too because if he wasn't good looking you would have ran from the start.
