Hi Sophie, I have stumbled across your channel at a struggling time at my career and spending habit. I started a hard job which requires me to work 50 hours plus. In turn, I turned to luxury bags or jewelries to make myself feel better… This viscous cycle has made me upset and sad in general. Last month marks one year anniversary at my job and I think I’m further away from financial independence I always wanted, or just simple happiness because I felt trapped. I admire and am inspired by your low spend target, slow living and minimalism. From today I will change my mindset and follow this life style. Want to say thank you for all your videos and show up in my life at this moment.

Portugal looks so beautiful and relaxing! You make an excellent point about enjoying physical activity and being consistent with it. That's where a lot of us create unnecessary stress for ourselves...pushing ourselves to do workouts and activities we dread. Glad to see you again Sophie! I'm proud to call myself an "old school" too~ making to-do lists, jotting down some notes or even doodling is always a pen/pencil and paper to me because I like them tangible and I think the intentions of writing something down are more authentic. Being inactive on FB for 6 months has been a great change in my life because I feel more peaceful and present. Simplified ways of living is such a luxury nowadays unlike 25 years ago. I stumbled on one of your videos last week. Your energy called out to me. I usually don't watch these kinds of videos, honestly. But apparently, the universe knew that I needed you. This year has been the worst of my life. I'm calling it the year of suck. So many bad things have happened. I've lost 5 loved ones this summer, in less than 2 months. I lost my home, my car, got mixed up in some legal issues of my son's & then in July, I fell at work & fractured my hip. These are just a few issues I've dealt with. To say I have become seriously depressed, is an understatement. I have not been very kind to my body or my mind. I know I need to change some things. It's just been so hard. I'm stuck at home all day, alone. I simply had given up. Until I started watching your videos. Not all of them apply, of course, but a few have been so helpful & needed. I thank you for sharing with the world. I look forward to more of your healing energy in the future.

Hi - I am an accountant and I found out that you can simplify your finances by setting one date to pay all your bills. This means calling your supplier or provider to change the due dates of your subscriptions so everything will be within the same week you plan to pay all your bills. It works for me so well. Now, I don't stressed out about due dates.

A password manager has been so incredibly helpful in simplifying my online life. I can generate long and unique passwords that I don't have to remember, and can sync between all my devices. I have passwords for hundreds of websites and programs, I can't possibly imagine keeping track of this in a notebook.

im the same as u and do the mixed methods approach of old school writing down on pen and paper, and using digital notes and calendars. it works great and i think technology should fit into how we work and live, instead of us just changing our lives for it. your scenery is amazing as always in the video, and you are truly an inspiration!

Yes. Only the bed and a low foot bench (at the foot of the bed) Yes. for the clothes I have and LOVe the few in intentionally selected (love the wood hangers that is the only hangers that I too use) Yes. I do all of those thins you have mentioned in your vlog. Thx for sharing...:)

LOVE your channel, girl! This was so peaceful, enjoyable and inspiring to watch! I’ve been to Portugal as I worked on a cruise ship years ago and, we were in Lisbon as well as the island of Madeira every week or so, over the course of 2 months while sailing to Grand Canary Islands!
