RT Joop story - I was working in an office with approx. 10 women, a guy walked past wearing Joop. A woman literally jumped out of her chair and tackled this guy, "omg what are you wearing?!!!!" He thought maybe it was a bad thing. Quite the contrary. The next 15 minutes was spent with a number of women sniffing his shirt, fawning all over him and complimenting the scent. Never saw anything like it before or since.
people on youtube are nicer.. you tell a story, we believe. On twitter, people would say, yes, I was the chair, I saw it, etc, etc.. hahaha i believe this could have happened for sure.. women like sweet fragrances.. and who knows when was this
What kind of 80's show is this? I'm just waiting for you to say that Knight Rider sucks too 😁 The secret of Joop Homme is controlling the sprayer. Half a squirt on each wrist so you get small whiffs or a pocket of air escapes your shirt with a chest spray. This stuff is magical if you apply it the right way.
I'm a simple man. When I see an old school 80s intro with badass music! I click like and I hit subscribe! Loved this video! and those glasses were epic! the real Sonny Crockett!
I love this perfume it smells so sweet and smells so good, in the eighties it was the bomb and it still is, this perfume even my boyfriend favorite and he loves it keep up the good work Joop💋
Joop is probably my top complement getter, period. Chicks dig it! I do have a collection (30 or so) but dang, the reaction I get using this stuff in 2019 kills it. Might wanna think about getting a bottle.
I remember seeing this on a dresser once in my youth....an older brother of a friend of mine owned it. So I sneakily approached and gave it a sniff. Shortly after I returned home and splashed on English Leather. Ok, maybe it wasn't English Leather, but it was definitely something Alpha. Some things never change. Today, I am wearing Lagerfield Classic. The dry down is incredible. Keep the greatness coming.
I come back and rewatch this video every once in a while simply for your presentation haha The scent is too as you said “apocalyptic” for me as well. It is great, but too much.
I have a vintage bottle with the flower on the bottle. Its more sandlewood, cinamonn, with some blackcherry in the background. Not as sickly sweet as the new stuff.
These 80's videos are my favorite. Very entertaining review. I actually have Joop, but I did give away my banana republic classic to my brother cause I didn't like it. What gets me is that you like Kouros, but don't like this fragrance.
Man..remember the Joop..brings back alot of memories.I was stationed in Germany when this sucker came out.A German chick I was seeing had a sm.sample "whats it called?" I asked."You"she kept sayin. The pink juice along with that unusual scent. There was nothing like it at the time. What can I say..I was alot younger and I digged it.Not so much now..I still have a bottle or 2 layin around. When I came back to the states it was still not released here yet.I thought I was the shit.lol.Now its everywhere..TJ Maxx cant give it away.
Hahaha, that's a cool story though. That's one thing that gets lost sometimes, when some of these old school ones came out they were crazy innovative even if they don't seem like it now.
Great video btw, Although i truly love this fragrance. I have never found it so hard to wear a fragrance! I’m always on my tippy toes with this one because you never want to offend anyone. I do wear it here and there but i just want to be more safe then sorry if you know what i mean. Lol.. I may just go for Mont Blanc individual. Maybe it will be a much safer choice! I never owned it but i think it would be best to try it out!
This fragrance originally turned me off to fragrances back in the early 90s...I used to refer to it as "Poop" but this was because a close friend probably sprayed 10 to 15 times and it literally choked you out. Haven't smelled it since then but maybe with 1 to 2 sprays and settling for an hour it would be tolerable
This is quite popular in the UK, especially amongst teenagers and young men trying to pull on a night out lol. I picked this up this year just to give it a go in a 30 ml bottle don't think I can handle no more than that. My woman loves it and I get mad compliments with it. Love to wear at nights/carnivals/parks. The drydown is amazing but that opening is harsh.
Depends on temperature, weather conditions, whether I'll be indoors or outdoors, what type of setting, etc. Usually between 4 and 6 overall. Couple in each elbow nook and maybe one to the chest and adams apple or behind the ears.
Mine is clear not that dark pink but smell exactly the same weird. it’s smells awful the first 30 minutes then 15-20 minutes it smell smooth and sweet you judged it too quick Dude missing out.
Like I said, we all like different things and that's one of the good things about fragrance. Lots of different views! I prefer Individuel if we're talking scents in the same vein, but I completely get where this one is a classic.
W or u could ask why did Creed recreate the same frag n charge us 7times the asking price haha?? I do however like that Santal n Individual are clear juice n won't stain fabric like that 80z syrup!
Lol...Santal and Individual are both great juices. They both share some similarities of Joop. But more smooth and refine. Joop was great for the 80s power house time. But now you could gas a room wearing it. Ha ha!
Disagree with your review sorry. i get loads of compliments with this and great in autumn and winter. Everyone loves this scent. its only the fragrance snobs who hates this cough cough!
Definitely not a fragrance snob, I wear anything if I like it and that includes mega cheap stuff. If you wear and get compliments that's fantastic, keep on wearing it. To say that everyone loves any scent isn't being completely honest though, this one is divisive and has as many haters as it does lovers. Either way, thanks for commenting and thanks for watching as well.
you know what this reminds me of is cherry slush but the old school style were they make it fresh with the by ass ice cube and then cherry syrup on top..
You know that's a good way to describe it, especially the opening. To be fair, I don't dislike this as much as I initially did. When I very first smelled this it just overwhelmed me with that initial blast.
