I can't remember which of the 2 shows was it on but I recall a guy had a small cube of some metal that he had put in his mouth and used some type brace (think it was like a mouthpiece) to capture a bullet fired from a pistol or a rifle. It's been so long that I'm not if I'm remembering correctly.

I love seeing commercial breaks from my hometown! I don't have too many. Though when this came out, I was almost exactly four months old (just one day off!)

I was a little over 3 months old when this aired. I don't know if my dad watched the Monday Night Football game, but as he's a massive Packers fan (he owns a share in the team), he probably did. Oh, and yes - all clowns must go. Preferably into an active volcano.

Holy cow, I actually remember that McDonald's Atari promotion. I was only 5 years old, but I was a huge fan of video games, and really wanted an Atari. I remember my mom took me to lunch, and I tried my hand with one of those scratch off games. I even remember that it was a Centipede-themed game card. I obviously did not win, though my family did finally get an Atari a little while later. And also, I think that is future "Brat Pack" star Ally Sheedy at 6:38. I know she did some Pizza Hut commercials in the early 80s.

I bet a lot of people were upset at Benson being postponed. I would have been. I was wonder if the Pac-Preview show was a subtitle way of getting parents to watch the emmys?

Benson's new season for 1982-83 didn't start until 10/22.

I've seen him before also. He's mainly a commercial actor, but I think I've seen him appear in some 80's series. Wish I knew which ones so I could identify him. The first guy in the Dial commercial is Stephen Shortridge- another "extra" type actor who was best known as Beau in "Welcome Back Kotter". He was one of the students in the back of the class who would get a rare line in an episode.

Okay- it took some serious digging, but the man's name is Michael McManus. He was in numerous TV series from the late 70's through the 90's. He was in a few movies- most notably as a neighbor named Ben Tuthill in "Poltergeist."
