i am an overweight 13 year old and I really want to lose weight so i have a better life in the future. i also have prom in 2 almost three years and I only have prom once so i want to lose weight so finding a dress is easier. I have been watching your videos and taking notes and your channel is so helpful so I have subscribed😃. I am also moving house soon and it is like ten metres away from a gym and pool. I will try run a mile every day then go swimming and also do zumba in the evening with mum. I want to stick to this and your channel is helping me alot so thank u EDIT FROM 2020 Hello everyone 👋 So yes it's me and I logged back into this account yesterday , I won't lie I didn't do alot of what I said however I did go to the pool and ate healthy and I lost 50 pounds and now am at a healthy weight For the people saying I was too young please know I was not overweight but obese,my weight was affecting my health and losing weight was essential however I didn't do a fad diet simply ate better portions and more of the right thing because weight loss takes time . By doing it slowly it allowed me to still have the unhealthy food and not have to say no to going out with friends but losing weight was one of the best things that happened to me And no I didn't get to go to prom however I found a beautiful dress, I now have an encouraging ,gorgeous boyfriend and a much healthier body and mind x
Dont give up! Trust me, you'll regret it in the future, I wish I'd go back in time and start dieting at a younger age, you're still sooo young and you're body's still developing, so do it now!
Blaz3k Dieting at a younger age? You're not supposed to diet in the first place. A diet is something temporary and not eating enough can stunt the growth of a child. It's permanent lifestyle changes that are important and not to mention sustainable. Food is not the enemy.
Hi Johanna, I just want to say thank you!im 14 years old I've been sick for 2 years with a debilitating chronic illness which has sometimes left me unable to walk, because of this I have put on over 20 kilos in this time, 4 weeks ago I've started doing one of your videos everyday and I've lost 7 kilos and gained lots of muscles! I can feel my body getting stronger!
@@MaCome4631 you can drink herbs and spices as infused water. Soak them for 6 hours and drink it. Or you can just boil them. I regularly boil ginger, star anise, turmeric, cinnamon, sappan wood, or anything I can found at the market near my home.
add puffed rice cakes with organic jaggery 2 the treat section. it has very few calories and a lot of iron and fills you up easily they can be easily made at home and stored in airtight containers 4 longer duration
A chemical is any substance consisting of matter. This includes any liquid, solid, or gas. A chemical is any pure substance (an element) or any mixture (a solution, compound, or gas). Chemicals occur naturally and can be made artificially.
Forget about counting chemicals unless you are on a Keto diet of 20-50g Carbs per day. That requires supplements and is dangerous for your health! Avoid being in Ketosis and the food you eat will already contain the Macro’s of Fat, Protein & Carbs; the Macro Minerals; and, the Trace Minerals your body needs. Simply eating 300 less Calories a day reduces your Triglycerides by ~20%. I currently lose ~3 lbs. a week on a lower Calorie diet with a target of 70g Carb per Day.
if ur looking for a low calorie meal my favourite is a vegetable stir fry but instead of using egg noodles or rice or whatever i use zucchini noodles. you can have a good sized portion for around 150-200 calories depending on the toppings and sauces you use :))
I agree with everything you said except the broth 😖 and I would not stay away from good fats I would just try not to OD on them- avocado is SO good for you and helps you stay fuller longer!
One of the main things I do to indulge and yet still moderate eating snacks and treats is to split a serving. So I never really eat a serving size of chips, pastries, cookies, ice cream, etc. I always split it with one other person or more. So if you want to eat a cookie, just break it in half and share it. You still get to indulge but won’t be eating the whole calorie content. When going to Costco, and they have those 16oz cup filled with soft serve/ ice cream/ non fat yogurt, I can’t eat the whole thing myself and will split it with my mom and dad.
I am new to your channel but I love the wealth of knowledge you have about healthy eating. I always learn something new watching your videos. Thanks so much for the information, and keep up the good work!
Whenever you do give in and partake in some high calorie foods, I've found that it's best to just nibble on them. That way you can stretch out the eating experience without taking in very much. Also closing your eyes at times and will magnify the taste sensation.
Great advice, thank you. I make soup for winter lunches with celery, carrot, pumpkin and whatever other veg is around. Lots of herbs and spices. I also juice veg and fruit to start the day, with a little avocado or banana blended in to fill up for longer.
I love crunchy snacks but crips (chips) would make me fat of course. I substituted them for seaweed roasted in sesame oil. One sheet only counts for 6 calories. It's delicious and you can buy it many Asian shops. Also, I squeeze lemon over sweet potatoes and roast them. They turn into a yummy snack.
This is the 1st video of yours which I come through... Points which made me Subscribe ur channel at that same moment were your Way of Speaking.. Better Coverage of All types of foods... Brilliant presentation... :-) a Big Thumb's Up for u Ma'am.. (Y)

You are very friendly and approachable RU-vid blogger without too much ADs. Keep it going! Cheers! Love you. xoxo from Australia.
Thank you. Your videos are really helpful & useful. The informative 'ingredients' you include are very helpful. I love the way you deliver the facts too. Even the 'common sense' aspects have more impact and serve as great reminders. Thanks again 👄

Im someone who volume eats as a way of focusing while working on my computer after i stopped smoking and I've developed this strange habit of eating spiced cauliflower from a big bowl like chips If u tend to absent mindedly eat when ur focusing on other things and don't really care what it is, try making what seems like strange swaps because it can really help you
hi ... joanna .... whenever i open youtube, at first i use to check "joanna soh official"... then only i move on to other video... like me there is more one those who like u.... :-) thanks for you.... i really likes you and your videos.....
Thank you for this video ! I like the fact that you deliver straight away the information , it changes from most RU-vidrs who need to promote their great-grandma's coffee shop or whatever beforehand
I think it was more about making the other foods more interesting, whilst also being low in calories and high in nutrients. I think they are essential to a healthy diet for someone like me that hates eating bland food.
Hi Joanna, thank you for this video!! 😊 I have a question about cinnamon though... I have 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder with my oats almost daily but I've heard that some types of cinnamon such as Cassia cinnamon can be dangerous. I've heard that Ceylon cinnamon is the better version so I tried looking for Ceylon cinnamon but in the shops, cinnamon powder in packets don't specify which kind of cinnamon it is, it just says 'cinnamon' on the packet. So do you think it would be better if I stop having the powdered cinnamon which doesn't have the type specified? Or are both types of cinnamon ok to have? I really hope you see this! If you do, please respond :) It would be realllly helpful!!
There so many options in India. I lived in India for 6 1/2 years. It was hard, but I made it work. So many fruits and vegetables that are available to mix and match and make so many nice recipes. Its all about proper carb, protein and fat intake. Besides that, go exercise too. Doesn't matter if people stare, I did it and didn't give a crap. Maybe she should make one specifically for Indians in India since you seem lost in the topic lol...
That is a very good explanation about how to eat properly and consume the right type of food I love watching your videos I gain a larger knowledge and only thing I have to do is pay attention and eat properly and keep on doing or I doing but increase a lot of things what you said don't consume too much fat product thank you very much I love watching your videos over and over and over on you one's day-by-day or True out the day And try to minimize the bed foods or try to get rid of it as much as possible Thank you very much
When I was anorexic, I used to count calories. Then I managed to get out of that sick routine and gained weight again. After 4 years, I am finally able to lose weight enjoying my healthy diet and without freaking out after a cheat meal. I dont count calories only because I remember most of them, so I approximately consume the right amount of calories. Sometimes I don't even count them, especially when it comes to free foods.
I love to eat! and i learned that the healthier it is the more you can of it without gaining as much weight so i just decided to eat salads and healthy stuff so that i can eat a lot and feel full
I know it was a really popular snack or dessert during colonial times with early settlers who had contact with native Americans, who more or less invented it. :)
