Thanks for the interesting test. I’m compelled to point out the danger of not holding onto the barrel while loading - I nearly lost my thumb when I was younger through this basic mistake.
Sadly it’s all about labour and energy costs - a Birmingham made Webley Springer would probably be four figures now- how would they sell? Sad but that’s how it is. The upper end AirArms TX200 are now over a grand.
I have a 45 year old .22 Webley Vulcan Springer (had it from new) Made in Birmingham & yes, the trigger adjustment grub screw actually does its job, whereas on the Turkish version, the screw is just for show & does Nothing.
I used to have a .22 webley exocet XS and my mate stood on it while we were all out camping. Of course he snapped the stock! My father was purple when i got home with my gun in two pieces 😂
It's all about Profit margins, Shareholders, National Insurance, Wages, Sick pay, Pension contributions etc. The likes of Webley, (along with some others) are struggling to cover that any more..( there was enough, fair paid work to go around 50 to 70 years ago)
@@rcontour Totally agree mate! They can keep their overpriced cheap produced rubbish. I own only quality springers, mostly HW's, older Diana's, FWB, Walther. Great rifles all of them. Cheers!
@@philipbooth9755 Right, they are even better now. No more leather piston seals, turnable 4 groove selecter with the open rear sight, better spring guides also less twang and vibrations, new superb modells with different stock variations to choose from, fine wooden qualty Minelli stocks and CNC machined with even lower tollerances. 👍😆😆😆 Thanks for mentioning Philip.....
I liked the video , but for heavens sake I cringed every time You loaded a pellet . Always Hold the Barrel or the cocking lever of any spring/gas ram rifle , sears & even bear traps have been known to fail .Safety First . Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well.
