I'd love to have been able to do a uni course like this but there wasn't anything like it years ago ( old person here). I'm a sugar flower artist so that will have to do. lol. Enjoy every minute of uni and thank you for brightening up my day.
Love it! I'm away from my family at the moment, so when you're with your family it makes me feel a little less homesick I guess? Does that makes sense?
The nutmeg/Megan joke really got me 😂😂 also funny when you do a Yorkshire accent because I’m from Yorkshire and I do a southern accent when I am messing about 😂
I'm also a third year, stressing out about the dissertation, totally over it but at the same time, don't want it to ever end lol I also died at your library bit, so funny!

Hi I have some questions regarding baking school.. At what age are you required to enter a baking school? Do you have to do your Alevels /gsces to enter a baking school?

I was literally convinced I had failed my interviews (to the point where I just left straight after and didn't go back to the common room or anything, because I was like "there's no point in me getting to know any of these people or allowing myself to fall in love with the university any more, I'm not getting in). However, I've now just completed my first term at Cambridge (studying German and Arabic)! Something you will often find is when you feel like the interview went badly, it means the interviewer is very impressed with you and thinks you've been dealing well with their questions, and wants to keep pushing until you can't answer anymore. In other words, if the interview feels too easy and like it's run too smoothly, something's gone wrong! It's out of your hands now, just enjoy your christmas, and whatever happens happens. Remember as well that the interviewers are very good at spotting people that are right for the university (actually the interviews are meant to simulate tutorials, or supervisions in cambridge's case), and chances are, if you don't get a place, you would have been miserable at oxford, and you will have dodged a bullet! In other words, try not to stress; whatever happens, you have every opportunity to reach your full potential. This was a long message haha, especially from a total stranger on the internet ;) however I hope it helps put you at ease xx
Also I’m confused, in Australia there’s so such thing as baking school in uni, you would classify that as a trade, baking is not something you go to university to. If you don’t get a bachelor or a masters out of your degree, then it’s not uni.
