Don't be shy subscribe, like and hit the bell !!! The owner of this snow blower was kind enough to bring the needed parts for me to replace on this 7HP Briggs and Stratton snowblower.
lmao...Ducks are everywhere! Excellent and easy fix since owner had already purchased the needed parts. I like fixes like this. Cheers my Friend! Sean~
Oh Dear I am in trouble. We live in the city and are not supposed to have farm animals. Apparently we have a several flocks of ducks that live in the house and garage. Great job of fixing the snowblower.
I have the same ducks in my shop, Bruce. Sometimes they don't go away. Idea/suggestion>>bring your laptop out to the shop and look up on the internet for reference or list below in your comments. Thank you again for the great detailed videos.
Im actually suprised to see that style Noma with that bucket with a Briggs OHV. I thought that design stopped being made back before Tecumseh went under about 10 years before. Unless thats a replacement engine on that their chassis...
I have a yellow, one gallon Tecumseh gas tank for your John Deere (Ariens) snowblower. Would you like me to send it to you, so that you can take that Briggs fuel tank off and put the correct tank on? Whats the story behind why you have a Briggs tank on a Tecumseh? I know I mentioned this once before, but you really did not have much to say, its interesting to say the least. Did it require alteration to get it to fit on their or did it bolt right on. Please let me know, I am interested in the story of it. I have a 1971 Ariens, same bucket, your slightly newer JD Ariens has. Yours was built during the 924,000 generation. Mine is a 32 from the 10000 series generation. I also have a 24 and the rotary mower attachment for it. Nearly best snowblowers Ive used. Neck and neck with my 2002 snapper 8246.
Always a pleasure to watch you work my friend. One question though, shouldn't this friction disc be replaced because of the grooves or is it supposed to be that way on this model? Thanks
Oh man some of those Murray noma designs will break the trunnion frame if the drive cable was over adjusted. You gotta split it and weld it back or it just won't work right. I feel for ya brother.
Hi Bruce im in Florida but I have seen a lot of videos where the snow blowers are tilted in a " service position" to get under neath for drive unit work.
Wonder what made that cable snap at that point. Didn't look like there was any interference there. Just cheap I guess. About that duck... it sure was fowl!
Hi Bruce I have a Murray ultra 5hp that the auger “L” bracket broke. Ordered a new one and installed but can’t remember how to hook up the auger cable as what I did is not engaging to spin. Do you have a video to fix. Thanks

You commented on your new ratchet wrenches and it didn't sound like you like them. Is this true? I think mine are nice, maybe a bit long, but work great.
Ever since they switched from using a good solid steel rod to using those thin flimsy little cables there was alot fewer headaches with these machines. There's not much quality in equipment. It's made to break down.
Bruce Pender I had one a month ago... Broke my heart 3 years old and wasn't worth fixing. There are no parts only replacement transmissions. To the tune of $700 by the time you get one.
