WARNING! Warframe spoilers ahead for "The War Within" quest line.
Fellow Tenno! It is time for yet another lore dump in Warframe. This time, I'm looking at "The War Within." As a new player, I'm sharing honest thoughts and some commentary on the storyline. It's not going to be my normal video full of silly and emotional reactions, but I'll tell you what hit and what missed with me.

genuinely war within is my favourite quest. to me it is the first quest where you feel like the main character and that this is your story. keep up the grind tenno

1:06 aren't their tooltips at the top of the screen for each section telling you this as you reach each section in the quest? I wouldn't blame you if you missed it though. Glad to hear you like Ordis, there is actually a hidden backstory for him you can find if you scan every cephalon fragment throughout the star chart (or watch it on youtube). Its actually pretty intense and explains a little of what a cephalon actually is.

I knew how to void sling. I thought I was supposed to jump to each individual rock pile and dodge the worm thing. You can skip over several rock piles to get to the stairs.

Glad you're enjoying the journey these quests get to put us through! I dig the format you're going for here, and you lay down your thoughts on everything very eloquently. War Within is more of a cool transitory middle point between the better reveals and emotional punches of the other big main story quests. The whole thing with the kuva that it establishes is a subtle but very central (and horrifying) thing about the Orokin's history with the Void and the spooky stuff you saw in Chains of Harrow, though. You'll see more about that soon enough. Looking forward to the Sacrifice vid! The story reveals in that one are some of my favorites.

I can't wait for you to play New War, Duviri, and a couple other special places. I'm an old, old hand, been playing since 2013, and it's been a rollercoaster. But the recent quests and content have been excellent. I'm interested on your grind experience for the mech, mine was horrific but Rebecca said they improved it in the latest update. I still can't wait to see your reaction to Space Mom doing stuff. Have you done the Harrow quest yet? Have you found the lore fragments about Ordis? He's a legit badass.

I did do Chains of Harrow. Not my favorite. Sadly, someone in Discord brought a friend in when I did that quest and they ruined it for me. Not only did they spoil it but they also got angry with me for not doing exactly what they wanted me to do. I ended up "kindly" telling them to piss off from the Discord, but it was too late to salvage the quest. I'm starting on the mech grind now. Haven't even touched the New War yet. I did do the prelude, though.

@@HeyItsJali I'm sorry that happened to you, I always try to be careful with new players because some of those reveals are just so jaw-dropping. Like when I finally read the Ordis lore I sat and stared at my screen for a good few minutes with my mouth hanging open. I get the most enjoyment from exploring a game on my own and teasing out its secrets blind. I glad you're enjoying the game, and I love seeing your experiences. It replayed the game from the beginning, and it hit almost as hard the second time around, even though I knew what was coming.

@@HeyItsJali Oof, good thing you told that person to scram, but rough to hear that the damage is done... hope they didn't spoil way too much. To be fair, I also didn't like Chains of Harrow all that much either. It came off like it was trying a bit too hard to spook me, when later quests aren't quite so in-your-face about it and spooked me *_far_* more with their reveals and the implications they establish.

@@Maverick2736They spoiled that quest and nothing else. At one point, the other people in Discord started talking very loudly over him to shut him up. I appreciated them doing that. 😂

@@Dread-GazeboI am scanning all the Cephalon stuff I find. I want to know more about Ordis. I also did Octavia's Anthem and that left me with even more questions about Cephalon.
