In this series of episodes we will take apart and carefully restore a Polyphon Portable Gramophone. Model:K190 Serial number: 6331. We assume that it is manufactured 1929 as there is a "29" stamped on the inside, which also matches the name of the motor.
In Part 2 - Spring Motor Service we disassemble, clean and repair the Polydor 29 Spring Motor.
This gramophone, beside with other restored vintage objects will be sold at restored.se. You can sign up for a newsletter at restored.se or by sending an e-mail to info@restored.se

Hey, the guy's Swedish I think? How useful would a Swedish commentary have been for you? Slow the pics down, or press pause, and it's all fairly self-explanatory, just take your time. These motors are all pretty similar and aren't complicated. It's lithium grease I reckon? I've done a few over the years, let me know if you need a hand. Cheers g

@@yettsoman4364 Thank you. Mine had the needle screw missing, so I made another from brass thumbscrew and a BA machine screw. Sounds good, but runs very slow. Will give Li grease a go.
