As I said at the end of the video, I’m holding a 12-hour Charity livestream this Tuesday from Noon to Midnight MST! All proceeds both from donations and ads will go to Care for Gaza, a reputable organization that provides valuable aid (food, clothes, etc) to Palestinians being bombed. They post about where donations go on their Twitter account, @/CareForGaza.
Hell yeah, I don't typically watch streams but I'll definitely swing by this for a bit and leave it playing in the bg when I'm done actively listening!
clodsire is a goofy guy and i used it on my gen 9 team but god damn. i hate this thing. so much stall and you never know whether it's water absorb or unaware. that one bull team with like blissey and hydrapple and clodsire and dozo and i forgot the other 3 but that team? screw that team. screw you if you use that team. and you know what? your clodsire. yeah, that annoying punk. i see you. i see you with your unaware ability. this is what you get! what you get for running stall, and for being too lazy to make your own team! eat this araquanid liquidation you *pitiful worm*!
@@wonderfulrose477 Anything Goes and Almost Any Ability are two very different tiers. Anything Goes is just normal 6v6 with the minimal possible banlist the Smogon community is willing to consider "playable". It is otherwise identical to cartridge play and is arguably the format that most closely resembles cartridge play. Almost Any Ability is the midpoint between Balanced Hackmons and standard play where mons are allowed to have most abilities, but still have to use their normal movepools. This format is not feasible through normal play without hacking.
Pokémon showdowns hackmon formats, little cup, and calculators are the best part. I haven't played on showdown in a couple of years. Gholdengo and Good as Gold both seem nutters in any hackmon format.
@@BlitzkriegOmegaso the thing abt hidden power is basically maths for uni majors and a slight incorrect on IVs gives you a bad HP. I do miss it as well but you gotta admit most of the competitive players didn’t even know how HP worked.
Top 5 Biggest Assholes in Pokemon: 5. Giovanni 4. Volo 3. Lusamine 2. Ghetsis 1. Paras in Legends Arceus Honorable Mention: that NPC in DPPt that trades you a Haunter for a Haunter but it’s holding an everstone
I need to add, since I’m emotionally invested in this, that that trainer doesn’t trade haunter for haunter. It trades haunter for medicham. You can’t even get them back with an everstone on future play throughs
Imagine my sadness when 2 of my favorite Pokémon ever are the first ones you see on a slideshow about Pokemons biggest assholes But with that said, fuck Gliscor
As much as I like Lilligant, its Hissuian form is basically just a direct upgrade. Given that standard Lilligant was already worth running with Torkoal, adding in the Hissuian form was bound to cause issues.
Another thing to note is that Torkoal + Lilligant standard are both special attackers, making it much more forgiving to wall them with special walls, but Lilligant-H threatens that Close Combat to the face.
@@o-poppoo5117 sleep isn't banned in smogon doubles formats but smogon's doubles formats are weird as heck anyway. sure, i hate urshifu as much as the next guy, but seriously? annihilape? basculegion? both of these mons aren't even that good in doubles anyway. if you want to chunk someone with beat up strats, use terrakion. and you can't turn basculegion into one punch man because you've got two pokemon staring you down at any moment. basculegion can't outspeed and instakill both enemies at once. i prefer to play vgc. vital spirit annihilape was too goated with the sauce for smogon
Man, just kingambit, you can just have him left and reverse sweep for no other reason that you were dominated all along but your tera type was not what the oponent guessed. peak competitive pokemon
Hustle Liligant is the most frustrating to use. With the 75% sleep powder and the 80% on wll your attacking moves and the absurd power after a victory dance theres full potential to destroy an entire team but you'll end up having a crucial miss and be dead having accomplished nothing. Even wide lens doesnt change much
Not even a mention for the GOAT of being an asshole, PLA Paras, I was a Paras enjoyer until I played PLA, why did they make him ready to throw hands whenever you're in a 20km radius to him
I love Gliscor and Hisuian Lilligant I understand the irritation from playing against them though Lol. Gliscor is problem on mono heavy boots teams but I think that's more of a stall problem. 😅😂
Dengo actually *can* get statused, by secondary effects (example: thunderbolt's para chance), it's the ONLY weakness it has besides being relatively slower than other mons. Garga is the guy who is completely immune to statuses.
Need a followup with anti-meta pokemon since they sort of fall into this category by removing the opponents options, 3 of them are already on this list (being psychic terrain indeedee, no protect urshifu, and no support gholdengo), but iron tail farigiraf and neutralyzing gas weezing deserves a mention too.
@@ElectricWindGirlFriend offthought, unaware mons and arena trap/magnet pull/shadow tag could maybe fall into this list too, though the trapping abilities might be a little too strong to fall into this section (could get it's own clip).
Love to pair Charizard with H.Lilligant because both great sun users. Either use sash for survival or wide lenses to boost sleep powder to over 80 accuracy.
gliscor will wall your team entirely if you lose a mon or two because eq + hazards + toxic + toxic orb blocks status and knock off + high def and stall presence
I really did try to keep up with GameFreak's insane powercreep as of late, but the fact Urshifu having an ABILITY THAT IGNORES PROTECT completely flying under my radar with me somehow not knowing about that until now just really goes to show how ridiculous it's become. How could I miss that (I don't use protect very often, so thats probably why)
I feel like Indeedee, while its dex entry says it feeds of gratitude, it can also feed off of pain. As for a Pokémon I consider evil, it would be Walrein. It always cheats its way into ending your Battle Frontier run early.
I should've mentioned it in the video, but Hisuian Lilligant is mainly annoying in doubles because it can get the Chlorophyll boost turn 1 with Torkoal.
Shoutouts to Gen 1 Slowbro. It's always fun having to drop whatever you're doing to hit something as hard and fast as you can, unless you like automatically losing, right?
Game Freak: Your concerns about Gholdengo have reached us. We decided to put an end to the frustration regarding Gholdengo by giving it a much deserved evolution!
The more I see how broken certain Pokémon became the more I miss Aggron, my absolute favourite Pokémon of all time. Tera would make it an amazing UU if not OU cleaner with the likes of Body Press Tera Fighting (180 base Defense stat for reference) Head Smash + Rock Head Tera Ghost/Tera Fairy or even as a Trick a room abuser. Yeah it becomes a Tera hog and might have some overlap with Kingambit but who cares when you have a potential Pokémon that could bring some much needed immediate power to Gen 9 OU
And then there's Great Tusk. Not only does it have good typing, it has amazing stats, can perform multiple roles simultaneously without drawback other than being limited to 4 moves, has access to almost every type coverage imaginable. It also has free stat boosts from its ability in sunlight, can buff itself if you fit it into the movepool and is so strong that it's basically a mandatory "you must counter this Pokemon" for every team..." yet not strong enough for ubers.
I think they should introduce nore movies or abilities to hit through Protect, Urshifu's just busted regardless. Protect's strong as hell and could use more counterplay
Also outside of open team sheets, there is not way to tell which Urshifu form the opponent has until they bring it out. Why did GF make them completely identical?
not as viable today but Togekiss used to be one of the biggest assholes ever using T-Wave to para and then flich locking you with air slash it was such a gross strat back in the day
People really underestimate how stupidly hard H-litigant hits with solar blade even without hustle or a boosting item, it can cause a lot of mind games. Not to mention it has a signature move that’s just physical quiver dance it barely even needs.
