My parents had two Ford Explorer Sports (non Sport Trac, 2-dr version) and these things are solid. Build cheaply, full of rattles, but solid. Always have had a weird soft spot for any Ford Ranger-based vehicle.

Bill is a way better reviewer than Doug DeMuro by a moonshot. Glad that he starts the videos with his daily diatribes and then goes into the specifics in great detail with the vehicle along with in my opinion the most important part of the interior, where to store your guns and bags of coke.
@@lobsterwhisperer7932 Demuro doesn't seem to know enough about the predecessors to the cars he's reviewing. He isn't able to make sense of what he's showing the viewer because he is unaware of where the car stands in the evolution of its showcased technology.

Love Bill's commentary, up to & including his vehicle reviews! Had two of these Sportracs, they were versatile & reliable. IMO, the last iterations of it kinda fell short.Wish Ford would bring it back in a retro kind of way as they're doing with the Bronco. Bill keep it to pull that Grady White back & forth!!👍
I hated trucks until the day I was without a car my father in law sold me one of these for 2000. Best investment I ever made was a family car for us for years

Ive gone off roading in my 2001 ford explorer sport 6.0 4x4. and my car did the laurel lakes trail in mammoth lakes california... shes still running today!
Yes sir. I've had my Betsy Who is the exact color and make as yours for 1 year. She had 211,000 miles on her I had to buy a transmission, and 02 sensor, thermostat and general maintenance. Now she has 230, 000 AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER SHE'S NEVER MISSED 1 DAY TO START EVEN WITH A WEAK FUEL PUMP WHEN IT WAS 20°BELOW ZERO WIND-CHILL SHE STARTED. I USED SEA FOAM IN HER GAS TANK LIKE TWICE A MONTH AND I LOVE HER 4 WHEEL DRIVE, 6 WINDOWS ANDI LOVE IT. I'LL NEVER SELL HER. I'M THE 2ND OWNER.
I literally just bought an 03 ford explorer sport Trac 4x4 XLT and got a good deal on it too, it's in good condition considering just needs cleaned up a bit and a few things fixed up but I love the truck honestly
My work truck,slash hunting camp rig.Have a 2001 here in Nova Scotia, works decent. Great for our granddaughter, ie 4 doors. Happy Florida Friday, blessings amen.
My dad had a 2003 sport trac xIt and it was pretty nice! I thought the rear radio controls were cool but they never worked because he put a nice touch screen radio in it
These kind of cars are rare where I live in Europe, I saw it in live and it looks huge compared to other cars, SUVs and even real off-roaders. But it was newer model.
16:00 yeah definitely tinted, looks like the spray type. they masked off the reverse light. i'm normally not a fan of the look but on that truck with its dark theme, it kind of works.

Don’t laugh at the Ford keypad. You can lock the doors with the keys in it and still get in. Perfect for when you go fishing or just running in the Post Office. I use it all the time, once you’ve had one you’ll understand.
My Betsy is rolling around 250,000 miles and she's still beautiful. Of course I did have to get a transmission with 130,000 but she's with it. If the body stays by I'll replace her motor and keep original
My grandpa has one that I will soon be inheriting and I think its around a 2001 or 2002 and he barely drives it and maintains the hell out of it. I think is only has around 85k miles on it and its probably one of the smoother cars I've been in.
Bill, I like your videos, including the bird watch updates and everything else that takes 6 minutes to talk about for the car review(s) starts. Don't mind this Ford truck, it's fine, but I don't think in any way, shape or form that it will ever be a collectable. Just my opinion. Keep the videos coming, they're entertaining.
