I bet they're in favor of gender affirming care when it comes to children who are born intersex. The standard practice for years was to perform surgery and hormone therapy on intersex kids, often without their consent or their knowledge, just to force them to conform with this so-called binary system they want to force us all into. There's a surprising number of intersex adults who express remorse or frustration that they were denied their medical autonomy and choice in the matter, and yet no one is out there demonizing the parents and doctors who did that to them... they just attack the parents, doctors, and transgender youth who are doing things the correct way with informed consent. Total hypocrisy.

And most of those surgeries are on say, a 17 year old born in December who wants to have the surgery done in the summer before they head off to college in the fall.

They genuinely believe that a child says "I think I'm trans" and the next day they are at the doctor's being prescribed HRT and setting a date for next week for surgery. It's insane how little they want to look at the truth.

Exactly. Some people in my job description (respiratory therapist) will wear lab coats over street clothes ( generally business casual). It’s not terribly common anymore, but some older therapists will do this. We aren’t doctors. A lot of health professionals can wear lab (white) coats, doesn’t mean they are doctors. Anyone can sling a stethoscope around their neck. It means nothing🤣🤨

It's a close copy of the logo of the legit American Academy of Pediatrics. Too bad they can't sue. In reality, it's unlikely that a professional organization would issue lab coats with that organization's logo on it. Are there AMA lab coats? I doubt it. Where would they be worn? A doctor belongs to professional organization X and works at hospital Y, their lab coat (if they even have one) would have Y's logo on it. So, it's all theater.

I have a dentist, a dermatologist and a nurse in my social circle which has only 4 people. The dermatologist married the nurse, and the dentist is my cousin. I have nothing to add here, but they all just got licensed (except the nurse who has been practicing since she was 22) so I’m super excited.

If any of them saw the “research” and alleged scientific papers from this community they would likely assume it’s an article about the findings and ask where the actual paper/research is. Their material just isn’t well written. Even I can spot it as nonsense and I have no medical training.

That's why it's so important that we check where people like this are getting their information. It's usually pretty easy if you just follow the money.

Like a character in a play, it looks like a real thing, but it is not. This is how gender works. You pretend, along with the man acting like a woman, that the man is a woman. It is all in good fun - until someone comes along and says wigs, makeup, clothing, and mannerisms, are not enough; we need to do some surgery on the actor to make him look more like a woman. This will help the audience members suspend their disbelief and may help our play do better at the box office.

And she's scientifically wrong. Eighth graders already are learning that XX/XY is not the only possible combination of sex chromosomes. There is a huge variation and a lot of us just don't know that we aren't simply an XX or an XY.

Might be a technical loophole as I don't think they actually claimed to be medical professionals, they just present themselves as such to deceive the gullible. But otherwise yes, impersonating a medical professional is illegal, there have been folks who have, but in this case it might ve a technical loophole as they might not claim to be medical professionals, but if you have the funds and lawyers you might be able to argue there was an attempt to impersonate medical professionals by their dress.

That's also not really true - we're all born with what are called organ homologues, neutral tissues that specialize through interactions with hormone washing, and those interactions are complex Sex isn't determined at fertilization, but it's also not really true that we all start out female. The clumps of tissue that constitute the reproductive system are subject to genetic and hormonal influences from word go, and that only wraps up.. Well, it never fully wraps up, that's why HRT works

I feel your pain as an intersex person. I can't even wrap my head around how people who are supposedly doctors, just close their eyes and act as if we don't exist. It's insane to me, we are literally living, breathing proof that the science doesn't agree with right wing misinformation.

So when I see a statement online that says schools in California are being forced to have litter boxes in schools because some students are identifying as cats, I should only find statements that repeat this? Forced corrective surgery, hormone therapy, all without the consent or knowledge of the child just so they fit into that strict "binary" system! If they actually cared about the health and well being of kids, they'd be advocating to stop performing forced gender affirming care for nonconsenting intersex patients rather than protesting the informed choices transgender youth are making.

There are chromosomal, genital, gonadal, or hormonal levels between the two sexes. For your point. Turner syndrome is a genetic condition that only affects females those with the female phenotype, AIS is a disorder that affects those who are male have the male phenotype, and klinefelter syndrome is one that affects those with the male phenotype or geneitcally male. "Intersex" is not a third sex. When scientists say sex is binary they are saying something very simple and very straightfoward. There are only two gamates. Sperm and Ova. In all of recorded history for all mammalian life , there has not been any 3rd gamate or " sperg". People with DSD are 0.02 % of the population are extremely rare. We can't tell upon initial obersavation with the naked eye what someones sex is. But with molecular biology and genetics and testing we can. As For 99.98 percent their sex is umabigous and we dont need to. DSD, sexual ambiguity and genetic disorders are not incompatible with the fact that sex is binary. Claiming otherwise would be psuedo science unfortunately.
