Just a word. Last week we had a major hail storm here in Odessa Texas. Lost most of the new grapes on both, the scuppernong and the supreme. Four vines that were loaded. That said, they are resilient and coming back with a vengence. Here it is dry all year long and I am putting 6 to 8 gallons a day on them. New growth is already starting to replace the vine damage and I have even found new fruit growth on the scuppernongs. Water is essential anywhere you live, but here, well, if you want something beautiful and green, you do what has to be done. Keep the content coming. I watch every post and learn from those and actual experience. I have six vines and with a little TLC they are thriving. Blessings your way.
Same here in NC..Probably gonna be a year for hurricanes for sure.....Corn is done this year. a city farmer...Clorine water..Muscadines are doing pretty good so far..Your videos on muscadine have helped a lot including the wine making ones...I start AA meetings next month...........................Juss kidding
First year growing grapes. I ordered a Darlene, supreme and the Ison. All 3 were doing great. Watering and fertilizing on the first and the fiftenth each month. Last week I noticed the leaes on the Darlene were dying. I wonder If the high nitrogen fertilizer killed it? I may hae applied too much/too close to it when watering? We haen't had rain in 2 weeks in the piedmont of North Carolina and highs in the mid 90's. No rain in the forecast until mid week! Now I need to order a new laptop.... the second and 22nd letters in the alphaet quit working.lol
Like you we were on a drought for a couple months and there have been quite a few a few wells drying up in our area. So using drip some. Just got a ton of rain and noticed leaves have a yellowing color , fungus of some sort I’m guessing. What do you spray with , cooper or something else? Thanks 😀
I've got my watering schedule down finally. I'm at the point now where my Supreme's are going from red to dark purple. My question is how do I know when I should pick them?
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia Thanks! Yep in South TX where it’s hot and humid 360 days each year. I am going to wait for them to soften a little. Feeling like Christmas in July with the waiting on this first crop of muscadines.
