So bitter sweet! It was an absolutely Golden time to be young. There will never be anything ever again, as cool as 1970s America-all things considered…. I miss these people bad, plus many others.

_Now_ who do we turn to for really good tv entertainment? Who'd of thought that someday tv would become so boring with nothing good to watch anymore? I remember back in the 70s, when you couldn't turn on the tv and there wouldn't be something fun to watch, regardless of what tv category was your favorite: drama, comedy, thriller, etc. Thank goodness for wonderful retro channels that show the good stuff, shows that remind us of how good tv _used_ to be. ABC was at the peak of its popularity this season. Taxi, Vega$, Mork and Mindy, and Fantasy Island debuted that year while What's Happening!! and Welcome Back, Kotter were cancelled at the end of the season.

Welcome Back Kotter was canceled in 1980 while the year before that What's Happening was canceled. What's Happening Now was televised in the mid 1980's on syndicated television and ran between 2 and a half and 3 seasons.

And look how far ABC has fallen since then. We now have shows that constantly preach to us instead of entertaining us, shows that promote anti-Catholicism, and unfunny comedians hosting late-night talk shows.
